Hi! I’m Cici. I’m a 9 years old spayed female calico cat. My foster mom first noticed me about 6 years ago, when I showed up on her porch looking for food. She fed me for years, but I just wasn’t ready to trust humans yet. Last year, after sleeping in the heated cat house she bought for me, I decided I had enough of the outdoor life and let her pet me. She was able to bring me inside, where I’ve been ever since. Foster mom took me to the vet, where they said I was in really good shape for an outdoor cat, and they also discovered I had been declawed. Foster mom can’t believe I was able to survive so long outdoors without claws to defend myself! I LOVE people. There’s nothing better than laying with my human and getting pets. I purr up a storm and love to make biscuits! I prefer a quiet environment without a lot of commotion. I like cats, but the resident cat at my foster home doesn’t like me (she’s just mean). I’m indifferent towards dogs as long as they’re not trying to play rough with me. I love having plenty of places to hide when I’m alone, but when my human is around, I prefer to cuddle with them. I like looking out the window, but I have no desire to ever go outside again.

Occasionally you can see me eating my canned food with my paw and than dip my paw into a water to clean it. My favorite game is to put a toy into a water bowl and than play my fishing game. I am very interective girl. Often when my foster mom cooks dinner I sit in a kitchen chair watching her and observing everything. Its funny, that every time you turn around I am near by watching you and observing things around. I get along great with all type of cats and love playing and hanging with them, so if you currently have a cat and would like a companion – I might be your best choice, I just love hanging and playing with other cats a lot. As you can see I have a lovely kind spirit and waiting for someone to take me home. I have great manners, I am litter-box trained and trained to use scratching post. Florentine was rescued from a sad desperate situation, she was living in a home with lots of other cats, sadly owner did not spay any of the cats and they all were breeding and breeding till things got out of hands, and owner asked for help. Phoebe, yes as in Phoebe Bridgers, duh! She is no copycat, she is a unique calico. She loves to greet you with some attention when you get home, but also knows when it’s time to give you some space. Wand toys are her absolute favorite. She is known for giving some Simone Biles-level gymnastics performances when chasing a wand toy. She is the perfect companion cat for first-time cat adoptees and a Phoebe Bridgers Fan! **Working cats seek safe outdoor homes!** We ALWAYS have cats available that are unable to be adopted into traditional homes because they are choosy about human companionship and prefer to live their lives on their own terms. They are excellent mousers and would be eternally grateful to find homes where they can roam free! The common term is "barn cats," but we are always open to also working with unconventional situations such as feed stores, community gardens, single-family homes, etc.. Most of our working cats are feral and have been rescued from unsafe outdoor environments (such as construction zones or places where people are threatening to poison them) and cannot return to where we trapped them. Instead, they find themselves here with us, waiting desperately for a second chance to live happy and free. Working cats have no adoption fees, and we provide free of cost all of the supplies that you'll need to help them acclimate to their new homes, as well as support, advice, and encouragement throughout the entire process. We always love to stay in touch with our adopters and sometimes do so for the cats' whole life spans! Lapa aka Boo is a bit of a shy girl at first, but once she gets to know you she is the sweetest. Her favorite toy is a shoestring that she carries around. She likes to headbutt and rub against you when she wants attention and she is not shy about letting you know. She purrs so loud when she's happy. Boo is a very chatty cat, especially when she wants something, like food or pets. And while not a lap cat, she will happily sit next to you on the couch. She tolerates dogs, but is still a little scared around them, so a slow introduction would be best. Boo would be happiest in a home where she is the only cat. Penny was rescued, along with her son, in an unsafe location in August 2023. We believe she was once a pet of renters who moved out & left her behind. It took some time for Penny to trust her foster mom, but now she loves pets, attention, playing with toys, and cuddling next to her on a soft blanket. The person who is interested in adopting Penny will need to have patience to earn her trust and love. We believe she will do well in a household with another cat.
