Story
Hi, I’m Chester, and I’ll be honest—I’m a bit of a complicated guy At 4 years old  For the most part, I’m a friendly, handsome boy who enjoys attention and spending time with my people. But I also have some quirks that make me special. Sometimes, if I’m caught off guard or become overstimulated, I can react by biting or attacking. Because of this, I’m looking for someone who understands cats like me and is willing to learn my signals and respect my boundaries. I’ve been in a few homes already, and what I really need is a patient, cat-savvy person who will accept me for who I am and give me the stability I’ve been missing. I’m looking for an adult-only home where I can be your one and only pet—no kids, no cats, and no dogs, please. In the right home with someone who understands that not every cat fits into a perfect little box, I know I have the potential to be a wonderful companion. Could you be the person willing to give a misunderstood guy like me the chance I deserve? If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.    Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.   As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.September 10, 2026, 4:10 pm

Story
I’m a 12-year-old lady who has spent my whole life with the same person. Sadly, my owner passed away, and suddenly everything I’ve ever known has changed. As you can imagine, this new chapter is a little scary for me. I’m shy when I first meet people and may find a cozy hiding spot when I’m feeling unsure. I can be afraid of new faces, but once I’ve had time to learn that you’re safe, I start letting my sweet side show. ❤️ One of my favorite things is being brushed—it’s a wonderful way to help me relax and build trust with you. I’ve never lived with other animals, so we don’t really know how I would feel about sharing my home. What I do know is that I’d love a quiet, patient home where I can settle in at my own pace without being rushed. I’ve lost the only home and person I’ve ever known. Now I’m hoping someone special will give this senior girl the chance to feel safe and loved again. Could you be my second chance?   I am  part of the Take A Chance On Me program, which means my adoption fee is lowered to help me find the right match.

Story
I’m a 9-month-old girl with a playful spirit, a curious heart, and just the right amount of sweetness. I love spending time with my people, whether we’re playing with toys, exploring the house, or curling up together at bedtime. In fact, one of my favorite places to sleep is right beside my person. Like many young cats, I can be a little shy now and then, and I might hide while I check out a new place. But don’t worry—it doesn’t take long before my social side shines through and I’m ready to be part of the fun. I do have one silly kitten habit I’m still working on—I sometimes think human hands are toys! Because I’m young and playful, I’ll need a family that’s willing to gently redirect me to appropriate toys and help me learn that hands are for petting, not playing. With consistency and patience, I’ll catch on in no time. I’m looking for a family who will enjoy my playful personality, understand that I may need a moment to settle in, and appreciate having a loyal little bedtime buddy. If you’re searching for a young cat who is equal parts fun, affectionate, and adorable, I think we might be the perfect match. If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.    Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.   As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.  September 10, 2026, 4:10 pm

Story
I’m a 1-year-old girl with a playful side, an independent spirit, and a heart that’s still learning how wonderful people can be. I came from a hoarding situation where I didn’t get as much human interaction as I needed when I was young. Because of that, I can be shy and unsure around people. I’m making progress, but I need someone who understands that I get to decide when I’m ready for affection.  Once I’m comfortable, you’ll see more of my playful and outgoing personality come through! I’m also a pretty independent girl, so I’m perfectly happy doing my own thing sometimes. Want to know one of my favorite things? Other cats! I especially seem to enjoy the company of the boys. Having a friendly feline buddy around might even help me feel more confident. And if you really want to impress me, bring out the Churu! That’s definitely one way to start earning my trust. I’m looking for a patient, understanding person who won’t expect too much from me too quickly. Give me time, kindness and the freedom to blossom at my own pace. I may make you work a little harder for my heart…but that will make earning it even more special.    I am  part of the Take A Chance On Me program, which means my adoption fee is lowered to help me find the right match. Hi, I’m Bullwinkle! I’m a 5-year-old gentle guy with a quiet, shy personality. I’d love a calm, peaceful home where I can settle in at my own pace. I’m perfectly fine with other cats and would be happiest with someone who appreciates a sweet, low-key companion. Give me a little patience and a lot of love, and I’ll be right at home.
