Story
I’ve had Wayne and Stuart since they were babies but I’m moving and can no longer maintain a pet household. These cats are the most loving, affectionate, curious, cuddly and playful cats ever. Wayne is all black and loves to eat treats and play with his toys, his favorite is a toy mushroom and crinkly ball. Stuart is black and white and loves to cuddle and take naps. Wayne and Stuart are brothers from the same litter, but more importantly they are best friends and bonded and should stay together. Wayne and Stuart love to play hide and seek together under blankets, use their treat board together, and look out the window at birds. And they would make amazing additions to any family!

Story
Meet Thumbs & Playtupus, a charming Mom and daughter.     Thumbs, a shy 1 year old  but once she gets to know you she will zoom around and play endlessly.    Platypus...Is 4 years old.  She and Thumbs need a quiet and understanding home where can call their own.  Platypus brings a quiet energy to any home however she is not one that enjoys hands-on human interaction too much. However she loves to sit quietly in the same room with her human and just enjoy the quiet moments together.   They  will also need a family who is committed to continuing Thumbs  cardiac screenings for a diagnosed heart defect. But don't let it fool you, Thumbs can keep up with any playmate.    Together, they share a bond that lights up their surroundings. Their loving nature and unique personalities make Thumbs & Playtupus perfect candidates for a nurturing home where they can receive the care and affection they deserve. Thumbs & Platypus Are part of the Take A Chance On Me Program. This means their adoption fee has been reduced  for the right home.   If you are interested in adopting, please fill put an application online at  ahimsahaven.org . Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.   As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 23, 2026, 6:02 pm

Story
We’re 10-month-old sisters and best friends forever. Wherever one of us goes, the other is never far behind. Our very favorite thing in the world? Snuggling up together for cozy naps.   I’m Bobbie, the sleek black one. I can be a little hissy when I’m nervous — it’s just my way of saying, “Please go slow with me.” Once I know I’m safe, I’ll let you gently pat me, and I actually kind of like it. I just need a little time to be brave.   And I’m Lucy, the black and white girl. I’m shy too, but I warm up with soft voices and gentle pets. I may hang back at first, but I’m watching and learning that people can be kind.   We’re both sweet girls with quiet hearts. We would love a calm home with patient humans who understand that shy kitties just need a little extra love. In return, we promise soft purrs, tiny brave moments, and double the cuddles.   Will you be our forever family?    If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.

Story
Hi there! We’re Max & Oliver — bonded brothers, best friends, and professional heart-melters.    We’re 1 year old and full of fun, playful energy! We love to chase toys, wrestle with each other (don’t worry, it’s all in good fun), and explore whatever exciting adventure the day brings. If there’s a feather wand involved, we’re all in.   Even though we’re playful and outgoing, we’ve also mastered the art of being sweet snuggle buddies. After we’ve zoomed around and gotten our sillies out, we’re more than happy to curl up next to you, sit with you on the couch, or snooze nearby while you relax. We love being part of whatever you’re doing — especially if it involves comfy blankets.   We’re very bonded and have been by each other’s side since day one, so we need to be adopted together. Two cats means double the love, double the purrs, and double the entertainment — but we promise it still feels easy because we keep each other company.   If you’re looking for a pair of affectionate, playful, and outgoing brothers to fill your home with love, we’re your guys.    If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.

Story
semi-feral & learning life one tiny step at a timeHi, I’m Gracie — a semi-feral girl with a gentle spark. I’m 2 years old and have been at the shelter since April, slowly learning to trust the world. I came in with very little experience around people, so I’m still skeptical of humans, but I’m beginning to come around — tiny steps, quiet moments, and lots of patience go a long way with me.   I do best in a calm, low-activity home with someone who understands that progress won’t happen overnight. Because I’m semi-feral and still unsure about hands, you can gently pet me with a scratcher for now — it helps me feel safe while we build our bond. With continued socializing, I’m showing more and more curiosity and softness each day.   I’m part of the Take A Chance On Me program, which means my adoption fee is lowered to help me find the right match.
