Story
Fireball is a Maine coon tabby mix. He is full of energy and love but he is very shy and protective of himself. He loves forehead kisses and head pets. Just be aware he is aggressive but has been improving over time and with patience. His name is just like the alcohol, has a bite to it (pun intended). He takes time to get to know people but once he accepts you he will cuddle with you and love on you like no tomorrow. He is staying at home in Rhode Island. There's only a short time left available to adopt Fireball and his adorable charm!

Story
PBS note: the background info below is from the person who brought Lady in to the shelter. Lady has since been spayed although she was in early stages of pregnancy. She also had syst removed and clearly Lady has had a tough go at life. She needs a quit home by an understanding person and she must become an indoor cat.Hi! I live in Pepperell MA, I have this sweet kitty covered in ticks, with a cloudy left eye and distended belly that has been stopping by daily for almost a week. I’ve been feeding her, she’s skittish but sweet, she will come near me when I have treats or food. I’m happy to keep feeding this sweet lady, but I want to make sure she gets the help she needs. As always before adoption, all cats are spay/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, given distemper and rabies vaccines if old enough, flea and dewormer treatments if necessary.

Story
Simi and Fiona are brother and sister and they are bonded to each other. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together, but they can be separated if need be. I think both of them would do best in homes without young kids or dogs. Before they came to me, they were community cats living on a very busy street in a commercial district. With the constant traffic, and them crossing the street all the time, their caretaker and I agreed it was only a matter of time before one of them got hit. They clearly had some human interaction before and they adjusted well to indoor life. Both made great progress bonding with me, and they were becoming more comfortable and adventurous with every day. Now that their world has completely changed again, they will likely need extra time to adjust and decompress. If they could spend some time together in foster before they go to the shelter, that would be ideal.Fiona is the more outgoing of the two, and the brave one. She was shy at first but made excellent and quick progress with me. It may take her a little time to warm up to strangers. She is very inquisitive, affectionate and playful, with a cheerful and sometimes silly personality. She didn't particularly care for my foster kittens, but she loves her brother. She loves wand toys and churus.Simi is such a gorgeous boy with his stunning blue eyes, I assume he will get a lot of interest based on looks alone. He has a very gentle and sweet demeanor. However, he is very timid and shy, and meeting new people can be quite scary for him. He needs a slow, quiet approach to feel safe. Simi came such a long way in the time he spent with me, and he showed me what a sweet and loving boy he truly is. Once I gained his trust, he was greeting me with meows when I came into the room, giving little kisses and rolling over for belly rubs. I have no doubt he will be a devoted companion for the right person, and he may even end up being a lap cat. His ideal adopter would be someone who understands that he will need time to get to know them and build trust before he feels safe and comfortable enough to come out of his shell. He needs someone with patience and a gentle touch. Simi is crazy about churus, this is a great way to bond with him. He loves to be petted and combed, especially under his chin and behind the ears. He had started becoming more interested in toys in the last two weeks asAs always before adoption, all cats are spay/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, given distemper and rabies vaccines if old enough, flea and dewormer treatments if necessary.
