I`ll roll dramatically on the floor, sleep at the foot of your bed, and show off my playful side with lasers, strings, or bouncy balls. However, I usually prefer to admire you from afar. You can only pet me while I`m eating. But my quirky charm will quickly win you over. With patience—and Scraps showing me the joy of a good belly rub— I make strides in confidence every day.Speaking of my BFF Scraps, we are a package deal! We love to wrestle, cuddle, chase, and we will absolutely entertain you. Together, we are the perfect combo of playful chaos and sweet companionship.I am a `work-in-progress` cat. When I first came to Carmah, I was extremely shy but the volunteers saw possibilities in me. My foster and I have been making progress together. I want to find a home where I have the space and time to continue the process. When I first move to your home, I will probably hide while I get used to household rhythms, smells, sounds, and routines. I will slowly come out of my shell as I learn to trust you. I may always hide when new people arrive, or I might start to enjoy their company as well. I`m Puffball, a fun older kitten. I have two speeds -- on and off. I love to play, especially with the elusive red dot! I can play rough, and I`m learning to be more gentle. I`m curious and I love to explore and climb. I`m also very loving. I want to sleep close to people. If you hold me like a baby, I purr - hard - until I snort. Sometimes I play so hard that I just fall asleep on the spot. I`d do well with another cat who likes to play hard. Because I can be rough, Carmah recommends no young children, but older kids would be great!Also, I have a heart murmur (Grade 2 out of 6) that is benign. Please consult with your vet to discuss any concerns.

Hi, I`m Jack, a soft-hearted boy who loves deeply. I`m a quiet, loyal companion who will make you feel like the most special person ever. I am a champion headbutter — my love language is a firm, affectionate bonk right to your hand. I`ll knead biscuits beside you like a tiny, purring bread baker, and I`ll happily guide you to all my favorite scratch spots. I may even snuggle with you under the blankets. I love my water fountain, which is a five-star luxury. And I think wand toys are great fun.I will start out shy, as I`m still learning to trust people. I warm up well to calm, gentle, patient people. I love the woman in my foster home, but I can be nervous around men, taking a little longer to warm up to them (and ok, I`ll admit it, I`ve met some really nice, really kind men during my time at Carmah). I`m fine with other cats; a long, slow introduction would help a lot. Or, I can be an only cat.I would do best in a calm, quiet home, no young children please. My needs are simple -- consistency, kindness, and patience with me. I will reward you with unending loyalty and companionship.

I’m Van Gogh, named for my one-of-a-kind ear situation, not because I’m dramatic or prone to artistic tantrums. Years ago, I wandered up to a human as a stray, already neutered, already handsome, and already rocking my signature look (I have a `cauliflower` ear) like it was couture. What can I say? Some cats are born iconic. Life took another turn when my human could not care for me any longer. So now I’m looking for a new home. I’m a sweet, social guy who loves to be petted and admired and told I’m a very good boy. I rule the roost with confidence and charm. I’ve never met a stranger… only future friends who haven’t had the pleasure of petting me yet. I get along with cats and dogs, haven`t had a lot of exposure to kids, but I bet if they`re respectful and kind I will love them. I’m outgoing, affectionate, and ready to Gogh wherever love takes me next. If you’re looking for a friendly, people-loving companion with a little history and a lot of heart, I’m your guy.

I`m Italy, a beautiful and petite tabby girl. Don’t worry, though - I keep up with my brothers just fine. I love hunting my spring toy, snuggling with my brothers, and of course-treats. I am shy and am continuing to adapt to people. For now, I love to be near people, but I don’t want to be petted…at least not yet. I am looking for a home where the people are patient and can give me time to come out of my shell. I promise I’ll make it up to you.
