** work in progress cat **I`m Onyx a sweet and sleek boy kitty. I`m calm. I`m great with other cats and I`d be a wonderful buddy to a cat who needs a friend. I love to play, especially with the track ball toy. I like people, but I prefer just a few people at a time. I do enjoy hanging out with you, but right now you can touch me only rarely. I am a `work-in-progress` cat. When I first came to Carmah, I was extremely shy but the volunteers saw possibilities in me. My foster and I have been making progress together. I want to find a home where I have the space and time to continue the process. When I first move to your home, I will probably hide while I get used to household rhythms, smells, sounds, and routines. I will slowly come out of my shell as I learn to trust you. I may always hide when new people arrive, or I might start to enjoy their company as well. I will reward your patience with loyalty and companionship.Looking for a sleek black beauty?

** Must adopt with Porsche **When Carmah was called in to help a stray mama cat and her kittens, our rescuers discovered there wasn’t just one litter, there were three! Now, each “car kitty” is learning that the comfort and love of an indoor home is far superior to life on the streets... I`m Aston, a sweet boy. I purr easily and enjoy snuggling. I love to play and explore, and looking out the window is great fun. I`m also very chatty and love having conversations. My brother Porsche and I are bonded to each other and would like to be adopted together. When he is out of sight, I cry as I go looking for him. I am comfortable with dogs and other cats. I may be a little shy at first, but soon I`ll be zooming around your home!

** Must adopt with Scraps ** ; ** work-in-progress cat **I am Elvira, an endlessly curious kitty. I love to follow you around from room to room. I`ll roll dramatically on the floor, sleep at the foot of your bed, and show off my playful side with lasers, strings, or bouncy balls. However, I usually prefer to admire you from afar. You can only pet me while I`m eating. But my quirky charm will quickly win you over. With patience—and Scraps showing me the joy of a good belly rub— I make strides in confidence every day.Speaking of my BFF Scraps, we are a package deal! We love to wrestle, cuddle, chase, and we will absolutely entertain you. Together, we are the perfect combo of playful chaos and sweet companionship.I am a `work-in-progress` cat. Story
We are Maurice and Robin, bonded brothers looking for a home together. We love watching the world from the window, exploring the house, and napping on the couch.I`m Maurice, more outgoing. I happily come to you for attention and pets. Robin is my sweet shadow, still building confidence, but always happiest when he`s close to me and following my lead.We both enjoy the company of other cats. Children would be fine, as long as they are patient and respectful.

Story
I’m Lemur, named after the jungle critter. I used to run a tough gas-station gang. Kind humans came with the intention of TNR, but they never got to the `R` (release) part -- I retired from my life of crime. Here`s the back story - I realized that humans give pets and snacks - just enough evidence for me of how cushy life can be in a home. One day I walked up to a human, asked to be picked up, and boom—foster life unlocked. Now I’m all about soft pillows, warm laps, and curling in your arms like a furry croissant. I adore humans, tolerate cats, and strongly believe dogs should admire me from a great distance, (like in the next county). I’m FIV+, but that shouldn`t worry you. With good vet care - the kind that is asked of every Carmah adopter - I should be healthy for a long time to come. And it is perfectly safe for me to live with other cats. So, got room for one reformed street gangster with elite snuggle skills?

Story
I`m Delaney, a laid back, calm girl who takes things in stride. I`m the “whatever! it’s all good” type. I`m fine in new situations and I`ll adjust quickly in any new home. I came from a home with other cats and shared the care of seven kittens with my sister, Delilah. We could be adopted together, but I`d be fine as a single cat, too - we are not bonded. If you already have cats, I`ll need a very slow introduction - ask Carmah for more info. I`m fine with kids.
