Manuka Needs an Experienced Cat Person — Northern NJManuka is a rescue who came to us 4 years ago after a coworker couldn't keep her. She'd been a stray, and trust came slowly: for her first two years, she lived almost entirely in our closet, only coming out at night. She's since made real progress — she comes out when the family's home, allows petting (especially under tables, where she feels safest), and is great about her scratch post.She's gentle and craves attention once she trusts you, but is still skittish and does best in a calm home. She also still has occasional accidents on furniture, which we've worked on but not fully resolved. We want any adopter to know this upfront.We're a busy family with 3 active kids and have done our best, but Manuka needs someone with more time and experience with shy rescues than we can give her. If that's you, she'd likely thrive in your home.Located in Northern NJ; local pickup preferred.

Simba is a 6-year-old male cat we adopted as a kitten and have loved for the past 6 years. He has a calm, easygoing personality and is very low-maintenance. Most of the time, he is independent and happily entertains himself, naps, or relaxes quietly. He does enjoy gentle affection—he loves being pet and brushed. A little daily attention like brushing and soft petting makes him very happy, but he does not require constant interaction. He is affectionate in a calm, non-demanding way. Simba is healthy, well-behaved, litter trained, and fully up to date on vaccinations. He has regular vet checkups and has always been in good health. We are rehoming him because he and our young child are not the best match in daily life, and with our current situation we are not able to give him the time and companionship he deserves. We hope to find him a calm, loving home where he can receive more consistent attention and care. Simba would do best with someone who truly enjoys cats and can give him love
