Meet Batman, a stunning 2 year old male with a sleek black coat, piercing green eyes and a white patch on his chest that looks remarkably like the Superman crest. We know it’s a little confusing for a superhero, but Batman wears it well. 😉 Batman joined us in mid-April after being transferred from a veterinary clinic in Indiana. Since arriving, he’s been working through a bit of an upset tummy, which we've been managing with routine probiotics and a specific diet in order to keep his tummy troubles in his past. Because of this, you’ll notice a note in his file that he is available through our adoption consultant. This simply allows us to answer any questions you may have before he heads home with his new family. While the greater Cleveland area may not be Gotham City, it’s still the perfect place for Batman to put down some roots and begin his next chapter. We would love nothing more than to see him settle into a forever home before the calendar flips to July. Come meet Batman in one of our "get acquainted" rooms and spend some quality time together. Say hello to Cheryl, an adorable brown and orange tortoiseshell kitten with a friendly personality and a lifetime of love to give. Cheryl's story began on the streets, where she was found living in a cat colony alongside her mother, Farrah, and her siblings, Bosley and Jaclyn. Thankfully, a dedicated local grassroots rescue safely secured the family and brought them to ARF, where they could begin a new chapter filled with safety, care and the promise of loving forever homes. Instead of growing up facing the many challenges of outdoor life, Cheryl now has the opportunity to discover just how wonderful life indoors can be. Like many tortoiseshell cats, Cheryl wears a one-of-a-kind patchwork coat of warm browns, rich oranges, and touches of black. No two torties are exactly alike, making each one as unique as the personality they develop. Cheryl spent time in one of our loving foster homes. Her fosters describe her as sweet and loving. She loves to be picked up and held. She will crawl up on to your chair in order to sit on your lap! She likes feather wands, balls and spring toys. She also enjoys climbing on cat trees. She has successfully resided with a feline-friendly dog and an adult cat. Cheryl is a friendly kitten who is eager to explore the world around her. As she grows, her new family can expect all the delightful adventures that come with kittenhood. Kittens are naturally curious and energetic, spending their days chasing toys, climbing cat trees, investigating every corner of the house, and then suddenly curling up for a well-earned nap. They thrive on interactive play, which not only keeps them entertained but also helps build confidence and strengthen the bond with their family. Like any young kitten, Cheryl will continue learning household routines and appropriate scratching habits, so providing scratching posts, toys and plenty of positive encouragement will help her grow into a confident, well-adjusted adult cat. Regular veterinary care, a nutritious diet and lots of love will give her the best possible start in life. Most of all, Cheryl is looking for what every kitten deserves: a family who will cherish her through every playful pounce, every curious adventure, and every cozy cuddle. She came to us in mid-January from an overcrowded shelter in need of space and a little extra care. Meet Liberty —The Goofy Playful Pal Who’s Always Up For A Good Time! If you’re looking for a cat who’s all about fun, games and some serious bird-watching action, Liberty is the guy for you! He’s a high-energy, goofy little ball of joy who absolutely lives for toys. Feather wands? He’s there. Laser pointers? Good luck keeping up! When he’s not chasing his latest play thing, he’ll be glued to the window, keeping a close eye on the local bird population like the stealthy feline detective he is. Liberty may be a playful whirlwind, but he does need a calm, loving home where he can thrive. He’s on a simple, inexpensive medication to help him from getting over - stimulated due to feline hyperesthesia, and this volunteer favorite is looking for a solo home (no other pets) where he can be the star of the show. He’s got a ton of love to give, he’s ready to shower it all on his perfect human. If you’re looking for a goofy, playful, and loving companion who’s always up for some fun, Liberty might just be your new best friend! Liberty is available for adoption through our Foster to Adopt Program. This means that he can go home with the right person as a foster on a trial basis for a pre-determined length of time to see if Liberty is in fact the perfect fit for the adopter's home. At the end of the trial period, if both parties agree, Liberty's temporary foster placement would transition officially into his adoptive home. Helena came to us at the end of January after her previous owner faced housing challenges. This sweet girl is a beautiful gray cat with a striking white mask with bib and she has a personality that will steal your heart at first sight. When Helena arrived, she was in desperate need of dental care. In fact, so much so that she ended up having 27 teeth pulled! Yes, you read that right. She now rocks a single, lucky tooth. Don’t worry because her lack of pearly whites doesn’t make her an old gal. At under three years old, Helena is full of life, curiosity and affection. Her name, Helena, is inspired by the Greek origin meaning “light” or “bright one.” And truly, she is a bright light. She brings joy, warmth and gentle companionship wherever she goes. Her story is a testament to resilience and it tells a tale from dental distress to a sparkling spirit. She’s ready to light up a forever home with love. Helena is friendly, affectionate and ready to shower her humans with snuggles. She deserves a home where she can feel safe, loved and celebrated every single day.
