Story
Do you have a soft spot for senior cats? If so, seven year old Pigeon may be purrfect for you! She was transferred to ARF at the end of February 2024. She came to us from an overcrowded shelter facility. Since arriving at ARF, she has been spayed and is now ready for someone who will show her all that love and human companionship has to offer. While she is technically a senior, our volunteers would venture to say that age seven is more commensurate with mid-life, rather than twilight years. Regardless, we are firm believers that cats of all ages deserve to know the love of a family. Please come meet her. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Story
Draco was surrendered for adoption in mid-March 2024. Upon intake, he needed treatment for ear mites. He was also treated for nasal discharge connected to a bacterial infection. He is now ready for a forever home. Draco is the Latin word for dragon and if you look through his photos, you'll see the silly photo of him showing off his fangs just as a dragon would! He is a curious guy and he enjoys playing with wand toys. However, he is not a fan of dogs and therefore needs a home without any canine residents. If you are interested in meeting this handsome green-eyed 2 year with some of the longest whiskers, please come by the shelter to meet him. Story
Tigger came to ARF at the beginning of April 2024. He was transferred to us from an overcrowded shelter facility. Tigger is a laid-back boy with a sweet personality. He may start off just a little shy at first meeting, but he's looking forward to finding his furever family. Just because he is not an "attention hog" when visitors walk by his cage, does not mean that he is not craving affection and attention from an adopter. If you think that you may be the right person who can give him the security and love that he deserves, please come meet him. Story
This beauty was transferred to ARF at the end of March 2024 from an overcrowded shelter facility. Caterina is shy at first, but after a few trusting moments she is "all in" for long and soft pets from her ears to the tip of her tail. She also enjoys cuddling. Her coat is soft like a rabbit's. Come spend some time with this adorable girl to see if she will be the one to become your newest family member. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. Story
Polly arrived at ARF at the end of March 2024. She was transferred to us from an overcrowded shelter facility. Since being brought into the care of an animal rescue, she has been spayed. She has healed well from that surgery and is now ready for a forever home. We think that Polly has the most soulful doe-eyes. She also has striking whiskers! Throughout the centuries and in various cultures there has been the belief that whiskers symbolize the balance between the physical and spiritual worlds. White whiskers in particular have been seen as a symbol of healing, protection and purity. We are sure that this girl is certain to bring pure joy to whomever chooses to add her to their family! Come to the shelter to meet her. Story
Hi Everyone, my name is Nicolette and I'm new to ARF. Up until recently, I lived with my family in an apartment and everything was good. I loved my family and I thought we'd always be together. I saw them start to pack up things to move, but I wasn't too worried. I was sure that I was coming along too. Unfortunately, I wasn't. I was left behind in the apartment. I'm not sure how long I was there alone, but I was so glad to finally get help and come to this place called ARF. After all I've been through, I can be a bit shy, but with a little patience, I will warm up and be a great companion. I did live with another cat, so they think I could do well in a home with a feline companion. If you'd like to meet me and give me the forever home that I so deserve, please stop by during open hours.
