Kittens and cats in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Willow was one of two kittens we chose in 2021. She does extremely well with other cats, but is very skittish and does not do well with dogs or loud children. She is very sweet and will curl up with you and loves to be petted. Unfortunately, with our dog she continues to hide most of the time or stays in one room. This behavior does not allow her to be out and about the house as she should. We would love to see her enjoy a home with no pets or a home that has no dogs.She has been spayed and has been kept indoors.

My name is Stormy, and I’m a gorgeous, soft-furred sweetheart with a spirited streak and a heart full of love. My estimated birthday is February 18, 2020, and while I may be past the kitten stage, I bring the perfect blend of mellow affection and youthful playfulness. I’m the kind of cat who will make you feel like the center of my world. I’ll rub against your legs, gently bump my head into your hands, and curl up close just to be near you. When I’m especially happy, I’ll flop onto my side and roll over, inviting you to give me soft pets and scratch behind my ears. My love language? Gentle affection and quiet companionship Don’t let my calm demeanor fool you—I’ve got a playful side that lights up when a toy mouse appears. Give me a little space and a favorite toy, and I’ll come alive, batting, pouncing, and carrying it around like a proud hunter showing off her prize. I may be graceful, but I know how to have a good time! I do have a bit of a diva streak—if I get overstimulated, I might let you know with a swish of my tail or a sassy little swat. I’m not shy about setting boundaries, but I’m never mean-spirited. I simply ask that my future family listens to my cues and respects my need for a little personal space now and then. Once I trust you, I’ll be your most loyal and loving companion. Now let’s talk about something important: I am FELV+. Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that affects cats’ immune systems. It is spread only between cats (not to people or other types of animals) through close contact like grooming, sharing bowls, or bite wounds. Because FeLV can weaken the immune system over time, FeLV+ kitties may be more prone to infections and need a little extra care. What does that mean for me? I should live indoors to stay safe and healthy. I should live with other FeLV+ cats or be the only cat in the home. I’ll need regular veterinary checkups to monitor my health. Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Armani! Armani is Prada’s handsome tuxedo brother and a sweet little gentleman with a heart of gold. He is a little more reserved than his sister, but once comfortable, his sweet personality shines bright. He’s gentle, affectionate, and loves being petted. In fact, his purr motor seems to have a pretty easy on/off switch - it’s usually ON! He’s playful and curious, enjoys having little conversations, and especially loves playing with his sister Prada. Compared to her busy little personality, Armani is a bit more mellow and perfectly happy to mix kitten fun with plenty of cuddle time. He’s the kind of kitten who may take a moment to warm up, but once he does, you’ll have a loving, purring little best friend who will make himself right at home in your heart! Armani is currently hanging out with our friends at The Lucky Paw in Gettysburg. Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Moonpie! He is a handsome boy with a heart as sweet as his name. He was adopted from the rescue as a young kitty and spent years knowing what it meant to have a family, a home, and someone of his own to love. Sadly, his owner recently passed away, and family members were unable to keep him. Through no fault of his own, Moonpie is now facing a life change he never saw coming. He is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and loves being petted. Moonpie has a wonderfully loyal personality that is almost dog-like - the kind of companion who wants to be near his people. He is good with cats, dogs, and kids and absolutely loves cat nip. Right now, Moonpie is grieving. He lost the person and home he knew, and everything around him now is unfamiliar. He asks for a little extra patience and grace while he settles in and figures out he is safe and loved. Moonpie has spent his life knowing what it feels like to belong to someone. Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Fritter! Sometimes the sweetest cats are the ones who quietly find their way to us! Fritter showed up at an established cat colony, presumably after being left there, and it’s hard to imagine someone leaving behind a girl this gentle and loving. Fritter is an absolute sweetheart. She is quiet, docile, affectionate, and wonderfully easygoing. She can be picked up and loves nothing more than being petted, especially those soft scratches behind her ears. Give her a cozy blanket to curl up on, and she is perfectly content to settle in and enjoy some well deserved comfort. She gets along well with other cats and would be a wonderful companion for a senior or a home with older respectful children. Fritter doesn’t ask for much - just a little kindness, a soft place to sleep, and someone who will appreciate her gentle heart. Maybe Fritter’s greatest wish is a simple one: a cozy blanket, a gentle hand to pet her, and a person who is happy to have her close. Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Abbott! He is a handsome two year old boy whose story is filled with love, loss, and a whole lot of heart! Abbott and his brother, Costello, were adopted as young kittens and were loved beyond measure. They had a wonderful home and a couple who adored them. When their dad suddenly passed away, the boys and their mom had to navigate a heartbreaking loss together. They comforted one another and continued on as a family. Sadly, their mom recently passed away too, and now Abbott and Costello have found themselves at the rescue, trying to understand how their whole world changed so quickly. It would be understandable if Abbott had become withdrawn, instead, his sweet, loving, gentle personality is still very much there. Abbott loves being loved! He enjoys being held, petted, and is extremely playful. Through all of the changes in their lives, Abbott and Costello have remained a source of comfort for one another. They may be content to spend some time apart, but their bond is clear, and we feel they would benefit from continuing their journey together. Abbott has already lost so much, but he hasn’t lost his ability to love. We hope his next chapter with his brother Costello - is a chapter filled with gentle hands, cozy naps, playful moments, and a family who will cherish these two boys for all the years ahead.
