Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Jinx! We don’t know exactly how old Jinx is, and we don’t know everything he has endured. What we do know is that this gentle senior boy has survived far more hardship than any cat should ever face. At one time Jinx had a home. But life was not always kind to him. There were times when food was scarce and his needs were not properly met. Then came the loss of his owner and the uncertainty of what would happen to him next. Through it all, Jinx endured challenges that no cat should have to experience. Yet somehow, he never lost his gentle spirit. Despite everything, Jinx remains one of the sweetest cats you could ever meet. He is affectionate, even tempered, and loves nothing more than curling up in a warm lap while soaking up pets and attention. He has a manageable thyroid condition that requires daily medication, but it doesn’t slow him down from being the loving companion he is. What Jinx needs now is someone willing to give him a little patience as he settles in and learns that he is finally safe. Someone who understands that senior cats often carry stories we will never fully know. It is impossible not to wonder what this sweet boy has been through. Yet after all the loss, uncertainty, and hardship, Jinx still chooses love! After everything he has survived, Jinx deserves more then life at a rescue. He deserves a family, a warm lap, and a forever home where he can spend his golden years knowing he will never be hungry, unwanted, or alone again!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Magic! Magic is a gorgeous young black cat with a playful spirit and loving soul. The stress of being confined in a cage at the rescue caused her confidence to take a step backward, but now that she’s able to roam freely and enjoy the run of the rescue, her personality is beginning to shine again. Magic is energetic, curious, and loves to play. She does enjoy attention and is very loving, but she can be a little unsure at first as she rebuilds her confidence. She is looking for a patient and understanding home that will give her the time and space to settle in at her own pace. Somewhere out there is the person Magic has been waiting for - someone who will see past her uncertainty and recognize the sweet, loving soul underneath! Won’t you be that person? Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Homefry! He’s a handsome orange tabby with a heart as warm as is name. Homefry was originally trapped behind a grocery store as part of a TNR program. The plan was to neuter him and return him to where he was found, but once he was safely trapped, it became clear he needed help. He had a sizable wound that required treatment and time to heal. During his recovery, another truth came to light - Homefry wasn’t feral at all. He was friendly, affectionate, and eager for attention. He enjoyed being held, welcomed gentle pets, and quickly showed everyone that he was a cat who had known human love before. Somehow, this sweet boy had ended up alone, injured, and trying to survive on his own. Despite whatever happened in his past, Homefry never lost his gentle spirit. He remains loving, trusting, and grateful for every bit of affection he receives. After everything he’s been through, this gentle boy deserves a home where he’ll never feel forgotten again, only loved. Homefry has already spent enough time surviving. Now it’s his turn to simply live - to spend his days soaking up affection, enjoying regularly meals, and reminding his people orange cats really are special!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue AFFECTIONATE, LIVELY, AND FULL OF CHARACTER Meow! My name is Stormy, and I’m a gorgeous, soft-furred sweetheart with a spirited streak and a heart full of love. My estimated birthday is February 18, 2020, and while I may be past the kitten stage, I bring the perfect blend of mellow affection and youthful playfulness. I’m the kind of cat who will make you feel like the center of my world. I’ll rub against your legs, gently bump my head into your hands, and curl up close just to be near you. When I’m especially happy, I’ll flop onto my side and roll over, inviting you to give me soft pets and scratch behind my ears. My love language? Gentle affection and quiet companionship Don’t let my calm demeanor fool you—I’ve got a playful side that lights up when a toy mouse appears. Give me a little space and a favorite toy, and I’ll come alive, batting, pouncing, and carrying it around like a proud hunter showing off her prize. I may be graceful, but I know how to have a good time! I do have a bit of a diva streak—if I get overstimulated, I might let you know with a swish of my tail or a sassy little swat. I’m not shy about setting boundaries, but I’m never mean-spirited. I simply ask that my future family listens to my cues and respects my need for a little personal space now and then. Once I trust you, I’ll be your most loyal and loving companion. Now let’s talk about something important: I am FELV+. Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that affects cats’ immune systems. It is spread only between cats (not to people or other types of animals) through close contact like grooming, sharing bowls, or bite wounds. Because FeLV can weaken the immune system over time, FeLV+ kitties may be more prone to infections and need a little extra care. What does that mean for me? I should live indoors to stay safe and healthy. I should live with other FeLV+ cats or be the only cat in the home. I’ll need regular veterinary checkups to monitor my health. With good nutrition, low stress, and proper care, many FeLV+ cats live happy, comfortable lives for years.  Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Beya! Beya is a beautiful 2 year old tabby girl. She’s a gentle and sweet soul who loves the simple joys in life - climbing a cat tree, chasing toys, and curling up in a soft bed while soaking in sunny spots around the house. She may be a little timid and aloof at first, but give her a bit of time and patience, and she’ll truly blossom. Once she warms up, her affectionate and vocal personality shines through - she’ll happily chat with you and let you know when she is ready for pets and attention. And trust us Beya definitely wants the attention once she feels safe and loved! She gets along well with other cats and does great with kids, making a wonderful addition to a calm, loving home. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who just needs a little time to come out of her shell, Beya just might be your girl!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Baby Girl! Baby Girl is a senior grey tabby with soft stripes and beautiful green eyes that quietly watch the world around her. She has a gentle soul and has been patiently waiting to be noticed, hoping someone will see her for who she is. She was surrendered through no fault of her own when her owner no longer wanted to care for her. While we don’t know much about her past, we do know that Baby Girl is sweet, gentle, and full of love. She enjoys being petted, resting in warm sunny spots and simply being near the people she trusts. She can become overstimulated and would do best as the only cat in a calm, peaceful home. She is currently overweight and the rescue is helping her get healthier. She was declawed at some point in her life, making a safe, gentle environment especially important for her. Baby Girl doesn’t need much - just a quiet home and a kind heart. She has spent too long waiting, watching life pass by, wondering if she will ever belong again. If you choose Baby Girl, you won’t just be giving her a home - you’ll be giving her comfort, safety, and the chance to finally rest, knowing she is loved!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted.
