Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue CALM AND ENDEARING Meow! My name is Drusilla, and my estimated birthday is May 4th, 2024. I’m a sweet, serene young adult with a gentle heart and a calm presence. I’ve been at the rescue for a little while now and have truly come into my own. Though I was once shy and unsure, I’ve since blossomed into a confident and affectionate companion, especially with people who take the time to get to know me. I have a quiet charm and a beautifully even temperament. I’m playful and curious, especially when I spot a dangling toy or hear the crinkle of a treat bag. I’m often complimented on my adorably round face and soulful eyes—they say I look like a living plush toy! I’ve settled in well and have shown I get along great with other cats. I’d thrive in a calm, loving home, ideally with older, respectful children who understand the value of patience and gentle affection. I haven’t spent time with dogs, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them just yet. I’m currently soaking up the love at the Kitty Corner, but what I really dream of is a forever home where I can curl up beside you, purr my thanks, and offer quiet companionship every day. Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SWEET, SASSY, AND ONE-OF-A-KIND Meow! I’m Stormi—a striking beauty with bold stripes, dazzling blue eyes, and a whole lot of personality packed into one sleek little frame. My estimated birthday is April 6, 2023, and while I may have the graceful looks of a Siamese, I definitely come with a touch of that legendary “Siamese sass.” I’m affectionate on my own terms—I’ll seek out pets and attention when the mood strikes, and sometimes I’ll even climb right into your lap and claim it as mine (fair warning: I may not let you leave once I’ve made myself comfortable!). I'm low-energy and laid-back most of the time, and I love lounging in cozy spots, watching the world go by. I’m also a very well-behaved girl—I use my scratching post faithfully and enjoy the occasional play session, especially if toys are involved. When I first arrived at Kitty Corner, I was unsure of the world and kept my guard up. But everything changed once I was promoted to “office cat”—free to roam, explore, and let my true colors shine. Since then, I’ve become a volunteer favorite, winning hearts with my sass, humor, and undeniable charm. I’m still an independent spirit, but I’ve learned to trust, and I love being part of the action (on my terms, of course). I did test positive for FeLV (feline leukemia virus), which means I’ll need a home where any resident cats are fully vaccinated or, ideally, where I can be your one-and-only feline queen. I’m cat-selective and prefer that other kitties respect my space. I’m not a fan of dogs or young children, so a calm, quiet home with a patient and understanding human would suit me best. My name is Java, and I was born on January 20, 2017, making me a graceful senior lady with years of quiet charm to share. I am the epitome of calm and serenity—often found perched regally atop the highest cat trees or nestled on top of the cages, where I can survey my little kingdom with wise, watchful eyes. There’s something comforting about observing the world from above, where I feel safe and in control. I have a refined taste for the finer things in life—tender wet food is my absolute favorite, and I never say no to a delicious treat. My affectionate nature shines brightest when I’m receiving gentle pets or offering soft, loving head butts as tokens of my fondness. Don’t be surprised if I softly meow to catch your attention or tug at your pant leg—I’m quite the subtle communicator, and I know just how to make you notice me. Sometimes, I even stand up against you, asking for a little extra love and closeness. Despite having a heart murmur, my spirit remains vibrant and full of warmth. I’m Twix—a lively, loving feline born around October 6, 2022, whose journey from the outdoors to a warm, safe home is nothing short of inspiring. Once part of a TNR program, I faced the challenges of a young body worn down by early motherhood. But thanks to the devoted care of Forever Love Rescue, I’ve blossomed into a joyful, thriving indoor sweetheart who is eager to embrace life’s every delight.   My days are a whirlwind of playful energy—I’m a blur of motion chasing the elusive red dot of my laser pointer or leaping with grace after the fluttering feather-on-a-string toy. Sometimes, my enthusiasm gets the best of me, and I find myself slipping and tumbling in my excitement—a clumsy little acrobat who’s always ready for the next adventure.   Though I may be a bit reserved when meeting new faces, I warm quickly and reveal my true affectionate nature. I’m a firm believer in the art of the headbutt—a gentle but persistent demand for pets and belly rubs that shows just how much I cherish human connection. During my time in foster care, I blossomed surrounded by the joyful chaos of young children, dogs of all sizes, and fellow feline friends. I embraced every new face with calm curiosity and unwavering sweetness, proving myself to be a wonderfully adaptable and loving companion. The moment you open the door, I’ll be right there, eager for your attention, softly weaving between your legs and serenading you with my constant, comforting purrs. That is, if I'm not relaxing on my favorite windowsill or cat tree. I thrive on affection and connection, savoring every pet and gentle scratch as if it were a precious gift.
