Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Maizy! Maizy is a fiercely independent adult orange tabby with the most captivating eyes - one green and one brown - that perfectly match her unique personality. She carries herself like royalty and knows exactly who she is. Maizy prefers to be the only cat in her kingdom. She isn’t interested in sharing her throne, and will do best in a home where she doesn’t have to compete for space. She enjoys being near her people and likes to keep you company, but she is selective about physical affection. She appreciates interaction on her terms - when she invites it, it’s special! She’s a cat who forms bonds through respect and understanding rather constant physical attention. Rescue life has been extremely stressful for her, and sadly she has been with us for quite some time. The busy environment has taken a toll, and causes her to pull her fur out. Because of this, she will need a calm, quiet home with a very patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Maizy absolutely adores treats and cannot resist  cozy patch of sunshine where she can stretch out and soak up the warmth. A sunny window and a peaceful routine would make her very happy! She would do best with a potential adopter willing to visit her multiple times to build a relationship before bringing her home. Maizy isn’t a “love at first sight” cat - she’s a “earn my trust and I’ll reward you” kind of girl. If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, a patient nature and you appreciate a little sass; Maizy may be the one for you. She doesn’t need someone that will try and change her - she needs someone who will love her exactly the way she is!              Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. This handsome brown tabby boy, with his white chest and sweet little white paws, is a gentle soul with so much love to give. He may be a bit shy and cautious at first, but with a little patience, his playful and affectionate personality truly shines. He loves gentle pets, batting toys around, and staying close to the action. He is deeply bonded to his older sister Anne, who is more outgoing and helps him feel brave in new situations. You’ll often find him right by her side, finding comfort in their special connection. Because of their close bond, they must be adopted together. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meet Raven, a lively young shadow with a heart full of sunshine. Her sleek black coat and bright, expressive eyes give her a mysterious charm, but spend even a moment with her and you’ll see she’s all sweetness, warmth, and joyful mischief. Raven is a spirited little adventurer who adores the rhythm of play. She’ll dash after toys with graceful precision, then leap into your lap as if it’s her personal haven—nestling in for a moment of affection before springing right back into fun. It’s as though her world is painted in a perfect balance of energy and tenderness, and she invites you to share in both. A naturally sociable girl, Raven truly loves people. She greets new friends with gentle enthusiasm, offering her trust easily and her affection generously. With the proper introduction, she would do wonderfully alongside one of her siblings or another friendly cat, weaving her playful presence seamlessly into a feline companion’s world. Raven is the kind of cat who fills a home with motion, laughter, and love. She thrives where she can explore, interact, and curl up against someone who appreciates her sweet, dynamic spirit. If you’re searching for a bright, affectionate companion wrapped in midnight fur, Raven is ready to flutter straight into your heart.Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Magic is a young black female cat with a friendly, affectionate temperament and a consistently playful personality. Her sleek, soft coat and bright, observant eyes reflect her energetic nature and her interest in everything happening around her. She enjoys interacting with people and other pets, often seeking out attention with gentle nudges or a steady purr. Magic is highly engaged during playtime and shows impressive coordination when chasing toys or exploring her environment. She likes variety in her activities and appreciates having different toys to keep her stimulated. When it comes to food, she eats her regular kibble well but is especially enthusiastic about canned food, which she greets with clear excitement. She adjusts comfortably to household routines and brings a positive, lively presence to any space. Magic would be an excellent match for someone looking for a companion who is affectionate, interactive, and easy to bond with. She is a well-rounded young cat who will thrive in a home that can offer attention, consistent care, and opportunities for play.Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue AFFECTIONATE, LIVELY, AND FULL OF CHARACTER Meow! My name is Stormy, and I’m a gorgeous, soft-furred sweetheart with a spirited streak and a heart full of love. My estimated birthday is February 18, 2020, and while I may be past the kitten stage, I bring the perfect blend of mellow affection and youthful playfulness. I’m the kind of cat who will make you feel like the center of my world. I’ll rub against your legs, gently bump my head into your hands, and curl up close just to be near you. When I’m especially happy, I’ll flop onto my side and roll over, inviting you to give me soft pets and scratch behind my ears. My love language? Gentle affection and quiet companionship Don’t let my calm demeanor fool you—I’ve got a playful side that lights up when a toy mouse appears. Give me a little space and a favorite toy, and I’ll come alive, batting, pouncing, and carrying it around like a proud hunter showing off her prize. I may be graceful, but I know how to have a good time! I do have a bit of a diva streak—if I get overstimulated, I might let you know with a swish of my tail or a sassy little swat. I’m not shy about setting boundaries, but I’m never mean-spirited. I simply ask that my future family listens to my cues and respects my need for a little personal space now and then. Once I trust you, I’ll be your most loyal and loving companion. Now let’s talk about something important: I am FELV+. Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that affects cats’ immune systems. It is spread only between cats (not to people or other types of animals) through close contact like grooming, sharing bowls, or bite wounds. Because FeLV can weaken the immune system over time, FeLV+ kitties may be more prone to infections and need a little extra care. What does that mean for me? I should live indoors to stay safe and healthy. I should live with other FeLV+ cats or be the only cat in the home. I’ll need regular veterinary checkups to monitor my health. With good nutrition, low stress, and proper care, many FeLV+ cats live happy, comfortable lives for years. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue PLAYFUL AND CURIOUS Meow! My name is Honeysuckle, and my estimated date of birth is October 1, 2024. I’m a spunky, curious little explorer with a flair for fun and a mind of my own. With a confident spirit and a touch of sass, I bring both energy and intrigue wherever I go.' I love to play—feather wands are my favorite, and my robot chaser toy keeps me endlessly entertained. I can spend hours stalking, pouncing, and showing off my acrobatic moves. I’m both brave and cautious, always testing the waters before leaping in—but once I do, I go all in! Though I’m gentle by nature, I’m also independent and strong-willed. I’m not the type to beg for attention, but I will reward patience with trust and affection once a bond is formed. Because of my confident personality, I would thrive in a home where my humans are willing to continue gentle socialization and respect my need for space as I adjust and grow. I prefer to be the queen of my castle, so I’d do best as the only cat or in a home with very laid-back, submissive feline companions. I’m shy but not fearful around dogs—given a little time and understanding, I can learn to coexist peacefully. I haven’t had experience with children, so I would likely do best in a calm, adult household or one with older, respectful kids. Currently, I’m in a foster home where I’m gaining confidence and learning how wonderful human companionship can be. If you're looking for a bold, playful, and fiercely unique kitten who will keep you entertained and intrigued, I just might be the one for you. Meetings can be easily arranged—come see if I’m the perfect fit for your home and heart Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted.
