Story
Aptly named for his ursine-looking face, Grizzly is a friendly, affectionate kitty who loves to hop up on laps for a little lovin'. His other favorite activity is playing with wand toys. 😺 He came from a home with another cat and a small dog, both of which he got along well with. Though we can never make guarantees, this indicates he may do well with another cat or a cat-friendly dog. When Grizzly was relinquished by his previous owner, he had bladder stones (a serious and painful condition), which were dissolved by feeding him a prescription urinary diet. He will need to be on this diet for life to ensure no new stones develop. Grizzly is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and FeLV/FIV negative.

Story
Storm is a sweet boy who will purr when you pet him and likes to snuggle with his people in bed or on their lap – though as his current mom says, “it has to be his idea.” ;-) Though he may take your heart by storm, this handsome guy is relatively quiet and has an independent side. He enjoys fishing pole type cat toys as well as any toys that move on their own, but he is also happy to entertain himself with paper bags and empty boxes. He seems to enjoy being picked up by his people. Though he has never lived with other animals, Storm used to play chase games with a neighbor’s cat-friendly black lab. Storm occasionally likes to go outside but has also been content as an indoor kitty (e.g., when he recently crashed at his “aunt’s” home). We suspect that he would be happy as an indoor-only cat, but if his adopter were able to provide supervised outdoor time (e.g., on harness and leash) or a catio, he would likely appreciate that. He is shy with unfamiliar people so may need a little extra time to adjust to a new home. Sorm is about 9 years old (a Pisces! born March 16th), neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. He has always had perfect litter box habits. Storm’s mom is looking for a new home for this sweet guy because due to a series of major life changes, she has had to move in, for the foreseeable future, with a family member who cannot have another cat in her home. We (FFOCAS) are helping her safely rehome him. Interested? Please reach out via email (ffocas4pets@gmail.com). We’ll ask you to fill out a rehoming application to keep this process as safe as possible for everyone – especially Storm!

Story
Handsome, 3-year-old Finn is an outgoing, smart, somewhat impish boy. He greets everyone with his tail straight in the air, enjoys daily training sessions with his foster mom (he can give a high five and go to his mat on cue), and throws himself into playtime with kittenish abandon. But Finn was probably mishandled before being rescued and is still learning that he can trust people not to handle him in ways he finds unpleasant. Because of this, Finn needs a quiet adult-only home with a patient adopter who will take the time and effort to earn his trust. Finn is neutered, vaccinated and FeLV/FIV negative.

Story
Meet Hope! This sweet one-year-old kitty truly lives up to her name. Found as a tiny sick, nearly blind kitten, she required a lot of care to get her healthy, and happily she is now thriving and ready for her forever home. Hope may have limited vision but makes up for it with sharp hearing and confidence, and she navigates her world with grace and curiosity, including having impeccable litterbox habits. She’s playful and affectionate and enjoys perching on shoulders like a queen surveying her kingdom. Hope is FIV+, but she loves the company of other animals, including other cats. She would thrive in a home with a cat-friendly dog or a cat who likes other cats. FIV+ cats can live safely with other cats as long as they get along. The virus is not spread by casual contact. Hope is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Story
Meet Spotty! This gorgeous and easygoing fluffball absolutely loves her people! She will seek you out and rub against you, purring loudly. If you let her, she’ll curl up and sleep on you, no matter where you are or what position you’re in. As a longhaired kitty, Spotty needs some grooming – not to worry! She loves to be brushed. In fact, she would be happy to groom you while you brush her. :-) Her favorite toys are crinkly toys and fishing pole toys as well as anything with catnip. This cuddler loves people of all ages (including kids as young as 5) and is comfortable around other cats. She also has experience with a dog – she is very tolerant but would prefer a home with no dogs or with a dog who tends to ignore kitties. Though she is currently an indoor/outdoor cat, Spotty loves to be inside; her family believes that she would be happy as an indoor-only cat. Spotty’s only “issue” is what appears to be chronic rhinitis. She often has a runny nose and sneezes. She appears to be comfortable, though occasional secondary bacterial infections may need to be treated. As a testament to her sweetness, Spotty's vet recently noted, during an exam, that they had difficulty evaluating her lungs due to her purring. :-) Spotty is 8 years old and weighs about 11 lbs. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. The chronic rhinitis is her only known health issue. She has perfect litter box habits. This sweetie is looking for a new home because her family is unable to take her with them when they move across country. We (FFOCAS) are helping Spotty’s family safely rehome her. Interested? Please reach out via email (ffocas4pets@gmail.com) or through Adoptapet. We’ll ask you to fill out a rehoming application to keep this process as safe as possible for all involved -- especially Spotty!
