Bale was surrendered to a shelter when his previous owners became allergic. He has the cutest bob tail! His previous owners said he had lived with cats, dogs, and kids. He seems to get along well with Boo. He’ll headbutt him and rub up against him even though Boo does not always appreciate it. He would probably enjoy another cat as long as they are ok with him being all up in their personal space, but he also enjoys attention from people so would do well as a solo kitty as long as people are around a lot. He is shy so would probably do best in a quieter household. He is super sweet and cuddly. He is more interested in sitting on laps than in playing with toys. He is a professional biscuit maker and will make biscuits on his person. He is shy initially and he spent 3 days under the bed when he got here, but once he came out from under the bed he has been all snuggles and cute little chirps and trills. He loves catnip toys. He will sometimes chase a wand toy, but toys seem to mostly confuse him. He is not super food motivated, but definitely has opinions on what is and is not edible. He is not into the fancy stuff and I have never seen him eat wet food. He likes Meow Mix and Cat Chow dry food. He enjoys being brushed, does not mind a belly rub, but does not love to be picked up. He’ll tolerate it briefly before politely asking to be put back down. He has perfect litter box manners.

Boo Bear came to us after being surrendered to a shelter at age 15 because his family suddenly became allergic. His previous owners said he had lived with cats, dogs, and kids. He does get annoyed with Bale at times. He’s fine until Bale gets up in his face and then he’ll give him a swat. Bale likes to rub and headbutt though, so he would probably do fine with cats that respect his space. He is super friendly, cuddly, and outgoing. He immediately made himself at home here. He hasn’t spent a lot of time sitting on me. He’ll come over and sit partially on me and then go do something and then come back again. He loves catnip toys and he will chase a wand toy if you drag it around for him. He is not super food motivated, but definitely has opinions on what is and is not edible. He is not into the fancy stuff and prefers the Sheba portions in gravy. He also enjoys snacking on Meow Mix and Cat Chow dry food. He enjoys being brushed, does not like his belly touched, does not like his feet touched. He is front declawed. He has perfect litter box manners.

I initially found my way to House of Misfits after my former owners abandoned me outside, leaving me to fend for myself after they moved. I was on my own, on the streets for a while until a concerned neighbor contacted House of Misfits. I was not in the best shape from eating who knows what on the streets. But House of Misfits nursed me back to health and I got spayed, and a dental surgery and all fixed up! I am VERY affectionate and friendly! And, my favourite thing? FOOD! Especially any and EVERY kind of wet food! I'll eat it right up, and my foster mom got me on a schedule - I know in the morning and evening I am getting we food, and I WILL be vocal and remind her about it (in case she might forget), and I loudly tell her about it until I get that wet food! I love tall cat trees and hanging out and watching out the window and observing everything. I also enjoy watching TV, so if you are looking for a "Netflix and Chill" kind of cat - I'm your girl! I do get along with other cats. I am very relaxed and mild mannered, so I would likely get along with gentle children and cat-friendly dogs as well. The only thing I am not a fan of is the vacuum cleaner, but let's be honest here - what cat is? I am fully vetted, including all of my vaccines and microchip. And looking for a forever family to call my own!

While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. They are a little skittish because they have not been handled a lot, but should come around quickly. All have been fixed and vaccinated.  They will need time and lots of handling in their new home to become trusting of people. Pepper is in a foster home! Pepper is a sweet 4-year-old tuxedo girl with soft fur and the perfect balance of independence and affection. True to her feline nature, she knows exactly what she likes — and she isn’t shy about making herself at home! She settled into her foster space within a single day. This clever girl certainly knows how to land on her feet.Pepper absolutely adores pets and will happily lean into your hand for more. While she tolerates being picked up, she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground — she’s not a “carry me everywhere” kind of cat. She’s also not a lap cat, but don’t mistake that for aloofness. Pepper loves being near her people. She’ll sleep on your bed and may even sneak under the blankets to curl up beside you. Make her a cozy blanket fort on the couch, and you’ll have one very content kitty.Pepper loves her daily play sessions. She takes her “hunting” seriously, especially when feather toys and her ripple rug are involved. She also likes her cardboard box with various holes cut out for play. She also uses her cat scratcher multiple times a day (her favorite scratcher is the Lounge one by PetFusion!)Pepper has excellent house manners. She’s litter trained, eats well, and enjoys both dry and wet food — though wet food is the way to her heart.
