Story
Meet Zena — the tiny dumpster-diver turned absolute queen. This one-year-old tabby has already mastered the art of the dramatic rescue: on the eve of a massive snowstorm, she marched straight out of a feral colony, leapt into her feeder’s arms, and essentially said, “I live indoors now.” She may have smelled like garbage at the time, but her personality was pure gold — and it still is. Zena is the total package. She is outgoing, endlessly friendly, and has never met a stranger she didn’t immediately charm. She chirps and chatters like she has very important things to discuss, purrs with Olympic-level commitment, and hands out head butts as if they are her personal love language. Pick her up? Great. Cuddle time? Even better. She keeps her claws politely to herself, uses the litter box like a professional, and approaches life with bright curiosity rather than fear. Extremely food-motivated (read: will absolutely believe you are her hero if you possess snacks), Zena is affectionate, playful, and wonderfully gentle — even with children. She kneads biscuits with enthusiasm and would happily accept a full-time position as your personal shadow. Honestly, the only mystery is how a cat this perfect ended up near a dumpster — but she is clearly ready to leave her street-cat era behind and settle into the pampered life she was always meant for. If you are looking for a confident, loving, talkative companion who will fill your home with warmth, purrs, and the occasional polite request for second breakfast, Zena is waiting to jump straight into your arms next.

Story
Bale was surrendered to a shelter when his previous owners became allergic. He has the cutest bob tail! His previous owners said he had lived with cats, dogs, and kids. He seems to get along well with Boo. He’ll headbutt him and rub up against him even though Boo does not always appreciate it. He would probably enjoy another cat as long as they are ok with him being all up in their personal space, but he also enjoys attention from people so would do well as a solo kitty as long as people are around a lot. He is shy so would probably do best in a quieter household. He is super sweet and cuddly. He is more interested in sitting on laps than in playing with toys. He is a professional biscuit maker and will make biscuits on his person. He is shy initially and he spent 3 days under the bed when he got here, but once he came out from under the bed he has been all snuggles and cute little chirps and trills. He loves catnip toys. He will sometimes chase a wand toy, but toys seem to mostly confuse him. He is not super food motivated, but definitely has opinions on what is and is not edible. He is not into the fancy stuff and I have never seen him eat wet food. He likes Meow Mix and Cat Chow dry food. He enjoys being brushed, does not mind a belly rub, but does not love to be picked up. He’ll tolerate it briefly before politely asking to be put back down. He has perfect litter box manners.

Story
Kodiak is a 3 month old tabby who was found sick and cold in a barn at just 4 weeks old. With a little bit of TLC he has healed and grown into the cutest little teddy bear you ever did see! Kodiak is still learning to cuddle but it is obvious he so badly wants to learn! He makes amazing biscuits and is the goofiest little boy to watch play! He has been around other cats and small dogs in his foster home and has not met a stranger yet!

Story
Latte and Matilda are a pair of sweet, resilient kittens who prove that being a little different makes you extra special. Latte is a gentle soul with limited function in her back legs, but don’t let that fool you—she’s a determined little explorer! She can climb stairs, use her litter box like a pro, and loves to curl up for snuggles. Latte has a beautiful purr and a unique squak for a meow. Matilda is the playful partner-in-crime with a quirky, wonky eye that gives her an adorable, unique look. It doesn’t cause her any pain, and she’s just as healthy and happy as any kitten. She’s curious, affectionate, and always ready for an adventure. These two share a special bond and would love to find a home together where they can keep cheering each other on. They’re proof that imperfections make life more beautiful—and they’ll fill your home with joy, laughter, and unconditional love.

Story
Meet Charlotte! Charlotte was born outside in a colony of cats, where she lived for several months. The colony had a very nice couple who cared for them. Once day, the man and the lady noticed that they hadn't seen Charlotte for a few days. When she reappeared, Charlotte was missing her foot. They reached out to House of Misfits for help, and of course we had to help her. We think that Charlotte's foot was caught in a trap, and she pulled it out or chewed it out. Anyway- this little girl had a will to live so we jumped into action and amputated her mangled leg. Charlotte is now a perfectly healthy tripod, or 3 legged cat. She gets around fine and it causes her no problems. Charlotte is a shy and sweet girl. She is also exceedingly beautiful, with fur that is calico and white colored. Charlotte is fostered in a really busy foster home. There are dogs, which she is unsure of. She kind of just avoids them. There are cats, who she definitely cohabitates peacefully with. And there are loud human teens, who she watches with curiosity. Charlotte would love to be adopted into a quieter home, one with patience and kindness and warmth. She definitely doesnt want to go back outside, as her caretakers told us she always hated the rain and snow. Charlotte deserves to live the indoor life with someone who appreciates her beauty and the fact that she is graceful and stoic. Her foster Mom thinks that in the right home, Charlotte will blossom into her full potential. Charlotte is a perfect girl- she is not needy, she does not scratch, she eats dry food that is just kept out all of the time, and she uses her litterbox perfectly. She is content to sit on the cat tree and sunbathe and watch the world go by. Could you be Charlotte's perfect match?
