He curls up into a little black ball of coal, but loves when you talk to him and eventually relaxes. He wants love and affection and will eventually give you the rare "good" belly for scritches. His foster mom says Ebon "enjoys being brushed & playing with his squeaky bird toys. He will push his head into you for pets. He loves to lay next to you while watching tv or laying down and enjoys being petted. He does NOT enjoy being picked up and held, however! [Potential adopters] need to go slow!" Ebon starts purring as soon as you slowly start petting him. He needs a low-commotion quieter home for his best life! Go slow with this guy - it'll be worth it! eligible under our 🖤✨𝑩𝑳𝑨𝑪𝑲 𝑪𝑨𝑻 𝑭𝑹𝑰𝑫𝑨𝒀𝑺 ✨🖤 promo: Black Cats for a reduced fee of $50 FRIDAYS ONLY! updated 02/13/26

Story
Zinnara is a tiny torti with a giant advantage in life: an absolutely adorable pink nose that she fully expects everyone to compliment immediately. Seriously, one look at her little face and you’ll understand why she gets away with everything. Unlike some torties who arrive ready to argue with management, Zinnara is refreshingly laid back. She’s the kind of girl who enjoys a peaceful atmosphere, a comfy place to nap, and the occasional play session when the mood strikes her. She’s not bouncing off the walls at 3 AM or plotting your downfall from atop the refrigerator - she prefers to keep things chill. She previously lived with other cats and did well, so she’d likely enjoy a home with feline friends and probably cat-friendly dogs too. Zinnara seems to understand the importance of maintaining good workplace relationships, even if she occasionally needs a little personal space to recharge. While she’s on the quieter side, she’s definitely not antisocial. She enjoys being around people and participating in daily life without feeling the need to narrate every thought in her head. Think of her as the calm friend in the group chat who only speaks occasionally, but when she does, everyone listens. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing cat with a little bit of sass, a lot of charm, and the face of a woodland creature that pays taxes, Zinnara may be your perfect match.

Whatever this relationship is, Lilly & Tolu are two peas in a pod. They eat together, sleep together and play together. They do not look alike, they do not act alike, but they are inseparable. Tolu is the younger, full of energy and always so curious. Lilly is more cautious, even a bit shy. She will watch Tolu to see what he does, then maybe she follows. They are both entertaining and love chasing feathers on a stick or a laser light. On their own, they play with various toys, tossing them in the air and then attacking the toy. Both come running at high speed when we call "kitty, kitty". They know that means dinner, an afternoon snack, treats or a bite of cheese! Lilly & Tolu are a 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃♾️𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐑 and MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER! Apply for one and you've applied for BOTH. Adoption fees for kitties at SAWAS are 2-for-1 ($90 for both, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, etc)! updated 02/03/26

Story
Keeva is a young girl (under a year old) with a playful spirit and a curious mind. In her kennel she’s full of personality - batting toys around, inventing games, and turning just about anything she finds into her next source of entertainment. She’s clearly a smart and active little cat who loves to stay busy. Keeva is still building confidence with people. When her kennel door first opens she can be a little suspicious and unsure, but she’s already come a long way since arriving. On intake she was quite hissy and defensive, but with time and patience she has started to relax and show more of her sweet side. Little by little, she’s realizing that people can be pretty great. Because she’s still learning to trust, Keeva would likely thrive in a home with a friendly, confident cat who can help show her that the world isn’t so scary. Having a social feline buddy often helps cats like Keeva blossom much more quickly. She’s a cute, slightly pudgy little girl who is endlessly curious about the world around her. For the right home that’s willing to give her a little time and understanding, Keeva has all the makings of a wonderful companion.
