Story
Smokey is ready for adoption!! This ultra handsome and debonair guy is ready to bring his larger than life personality into your home! Smokey joined The POUNCE Alliance after he was found wandering the streets in late November, at a time when the shelters were full and unable to bring him in.  He was microchipped, but sadly an owner never came forward for him.  A friend of Smokey’s finders took him in as he wasn’t getting along with the male cats in their home. They reached out to us and agreed to foster Smokey through POUNCE. It was clear that he was older and needed a full exam and work up. After he received care, we found out Smokey was in need of a dental care and was suffering from urinary crystals. After coming to The POUNCE Alliance, Smokey received necessary medical treatment for his urinary crystals by being put on a prescription diet, and received a dental to clean his teeth and remove ones that required extraction.  There was 10 teeth that needed extracted. He has been living in the loving home of his foster where he has been thriving and enjoying a life of comfort and care.  Smokey is a wonderful cat with a loving and engaging personality.  He absolutely loves his people, will enjoy snuggling up with you on your lap - especially if you have a cozy blanket for him to rest on - and sleeping next to you at night in your bed. Although Smokey is quiet at night, during the day he loves to carry on conversations with the humans around him and  will be your constant companion, following you from room to room.  He is very well mannered, respectful of countertops, doors, and has impeccable litter box manners. Smokey is confident and independent, enjoys head rubs but may be selective about being  petted on his tummy and body. He prefers to have human company during the day rather than be left alone for long periods of time, and will love to have a window to look out of during the day.  Smokey will want to have a cat tree or other things to satisfy his feline need to scratch. A few things to keep in mind as you consider Smokey for your companion: He will do best as the only animal in the home because he may not get along well with either cats or dogs. He has not done well in the past with other male cats, we don’t know how he would do with a female. He currently lives with two small dogs, but does get upset when they get in his bubble and will chase them off. For this reason, it’s likely ideal for him to find a home as the only pet or with one calm animal that keeps to themselves and doesn’t push his boundaries.  Due to his history of urinary crystals, Smokey will require being permanently on a prescription urinary diet.  He is currently eating Hill’s Prescription Diet C/D. As follow ups to his extractions upon intake, he will need annual exams to ensure that his mouth remains healthy, as any cat does!  If you are looking for a loving, engaging kitty companion who will be your snuggle buddy and constant side kick, then Smokey is the cat for you!   Transport is available to approved adopters throughout the PNW! If you are interested in adopting, please apply today!  ##2339025##

Story
MEET THE CONSTELLATIONS!! These cuties joined POUNCE when their mama was found heavily pregnant by a Good Samaritan. Mama Ara ended up giving birth while they were seeking rescue placement for her. Along came POUNCE foster parent Amanda, who heard about her through the vet clinic she works at. Amanda’s last fosters had just flown the coop and she was ready to take on more felines in need. She reached out to see if we could provide the financial support and of course we said yes!  Mama Ara is just a kitten herself at estimated maybe a year old. She loves her babies so much and is bonded with Lynx so will need to be adopted with him! Any of the babies would also love to go in pairs!  Ara is a young mama with a soft heart and a playful spirit. Though she may be a little shy at first, she quickly blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion once she feels safe. She adores her babies and is often seen playing and tumbling around with them, showing off her youthful energy and sweet nature. Ara is a big fan of wand toys and loves interactive playtime. When she’s not chasing toys or mothering her kittens, she’ll wind between your legs, purring and asking for gentle pets. With time and trust, she’ll happily flop over for belly rubs and more snuggles. Ara is a true sweetheart who deserves all the love in the world. Transport is available to approved adopters throughout the PNW! Each kitten and Ara comes spayed/neutered, microchipped (including registration), and up to date on vaccines/deworming. Ara is around a year old and the kittens date of birth is 4/8/25. Ara’s adoption fee is $85, kitten adoption fees are $150 or $225 for a pair of kittens. For mama Ara and a kitten, the adoption fee is $195.  Thanks for checking out the constellations!!!  To be considered to adopt, please start by submitting an application today!  ##2430573##

Story
How's this for a bio?   Meet Turtle! Age: 11 months Adoption Fee: $85 (includes spay, microchip & registration, vaccines, and deworming) Turtle’s story started with a little adventure! A kind Good Samaritan brought her to a local pet ER, but this clever girl made a break for it in the parking lot. Thankfully, her explorer days were short-lived — the very next day she decided rescue life wasn’t so bad after all and allowed herself to be safely caught. Turtle is a gentle, shy soul who’s still learning to trust her surroundings. She’s done great with her litter box and has perfect manners. While she hasn’t “chosen violence,” she definitely prefers her own space and would thrive in a quiet home with no more than one other calm cat (or none at all). Turtle would do best with older children who can respect her boundaries and let her come around at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality starts to shine through — she just needs someone patient who will give her the time and love she deserves. If you’re looking for a mellow companion who will appreciate a peaceful, cozy home, Turtle may be your perfect match. Turtle comes spayed, microchipped (including registration), dewormed, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $85.  To be considered to adopt Turtle, please apply today! ##2568482##

Meet Ding-Dong & Tim-Tam — The Perfect Pair! Bonded Pair | Estimated DOB: 5/5/25 | Adoption Fee (Pair): $225 Once known as Little Boy and Little Girl, this adorable brother-sister duo has grown into the sweetest pair of kittens — now called Ding-Dong and Tim-Tam! They’ve been waiting patiently for their perfect adopter, and whoever brings them home will get double the love, laughter, and purrs. Their Story Ding-Dong and Tim-Tam came to POUNCE with their sibling Big Boy after being found at just two weeks old and brought to a local veterinary clinic. They were very sick with upper respiratory and eye infections, but thanks to amazing plethora of foster families they made a full recovery. These two were bottle-fed, nurtured, and socialized with humans, other cats, and even a small Pomeranian! Ding-Dong: The Sweet Soul Ding-Dong is calm, gentle, and the ultimate cuddle buddy. He loves relaxing next to his people, greeting you with soft purrs and loving eyes. He’s a sweet, loyal boy who blossoms with calm affection and quiet companionship. Tim-Tam: The Playful Prankster Tim-Tam is full of energy and curiosity! She’s always ready to chase toys, explore new spots, and pounce on her brother for a little fun. She’s confident, funny, and affectionate — her favorite way to show love is with her special “face cuddles.” Their Bond & Home Life These two balance each other perfectly — Tim-Tam’s playful spirit keeps Ding-Dong active, while his calm energy helps her settle down for naps. They are good with kids, cats, and have done great with the small dog they’ve met. Their gentle, social personalities make them an easy fit for almost any loving home. DOB (estimated):5/5/25 Spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed & microchipped (with registration) Adoption fee (pair): $225 Must be adopted together Ding-Dong and Tim-Tam have overcome a rough start and grown into happy, healthy, affectionate kittens. They’re ready to fill their forever home with love, purrs, and playful energy. Could that home be yours? Apply to adopt Ding-Dong & Tim-Tam today through POUNCE! ##2459779##
