Story
Mittens and Apollo are brothers who have been together their whole lives and need to be adopted together. They were born as barn kittens, but were adopted at a very young age and have been fully indoor since so they don't have any outdoor survival skills. They are about 9 years old. Mittens loves to be scratched above the tail. He tries, but can't purr. Apollo is a long hair cat who loves pets and attention and you can hear his purr across the room. They both love watching birds. Mittens loves sleeping in front of the fire. They need a new home due to them causing issues with their human's allergies and asthma.

Story
Meet Gomez ??Gomez is a very handsome solid black Domestic Medium Hair who came to us as a stray from the city of Yakima. This sweet boy may look a little rough around the edges right now due to an old healing injury on his face, but don’t let that fool you — underneath it all is a gentle, affectionate soul.Gomez has been incredibly easy to handle and clearly enjoys human attention. He leans right into your hand for neck rubs and gentle head scratches, soaking up every bit of kindness offered to him. It’s obvious he’s ready to leave his stray days behind and settle into a safe, loving home.If you’re looking for a soft-hearted companion with striking good looks and a resilient spirit, Gomez just might be your guy. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Curly, Larry & Moe!Curly and his brothers, Larry and Moe, were surrendered to the adoption center as offspring from a family pet. Unfortunately, they were not socialized with people when they were young, so they are not comfortable as house pets. Because of this, they are looking for placement as working cats in a barn, shop, warehouse, or similar environment. We would like to see them find placement together and will be reducing their adoption fees if they go to a single location.

Story
Teton is a striking adult long-haired black cat with a majestic coat and a mysterious soul to match. He’s not the happiest guy in the shelter environment — and honestly, we don’t blame him. The hustle and bustle just isn’t his style.Teton is the kind of cat who will need a patient, understanding adopter willing to give him the time and space he deserves. He may not be the “in-your-face affectionate” type right away, but we truly believe that in a calm home with someone committed to working with him, he has the potential to blossom. He’s looking for a quiet household where he can settle in at his own pace and build trust on his terms. With consistency, kindness, and a little patience, Teton could become a loyal companion who bonds deeply with his person.Teton is bonded with Denali and we highly recommend adopting them togetherThis pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane-Ellensburg Shelter If you recognize this animal, please contact the adoption center at 509-925-7387 Ready to adopt? *The pets pictured in this posting are just ad pictures not available pets.*The Yakima Humane Society provides care for thousands of animals each year, some of which require time in foster care before they are ready to be adopted. Fostering a homeless pet is both a rewarding and enriching experience; it is also great for families or individuals who love animals but cannot commit to having a full-time companion animal. The care that dedicated Foster Care Families provide is invaluable, both to the animals fostered and the people that adopt them. You can foster as much or as little as you like, and we need foster homes for a wide variety of animals - kittens, puppies, cats, dogs, and an occasional small & furry animal! You can learn more about our foster program and fill out an application athttp://www.yakimahumane.org/get-involved/foster/.*The pets pictured in this posting are just ad pictures not available pets.*
