Story
Paddy is a little 10 lb senior who needs a forever home! He enjoys being outdoors in the sunshine and curling up next to his person on the sofa. He’s a sweet, gentle fella who thrives on attention and being close to his human. He gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Paddy does wear a belly band indoors, and he has some hearing loss. This means he can occasionally get startled and grumpy if approached unexpectedly, so he’ll do best in a home that understands his needs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and just had a dental. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key best friend to share your days (and your couch), Paddy may be the perfect match!   He’s located in Berthoud, Colorado. If you have questions about Paddy, please email rescue@harleysdream.org

Story
Wilkerson "Wilkie" has been my best friend for the last almost 7 years (he'll be 7 in May). Unfortunately, we now have two kids under two and toddlers are a little too wild for a Chihuahua. He's such a cuddler and lovessss walks, and we just don't have the space in our home or time to give him the love and care he needs anymore. Wilkie is about 10 pounds. He gets along great with our other dog, Nymeria (Nymie). In a perfect world we would find someone who could take them both in. He can be a little timid with strangers but he's super food motivated so if you give him a few treats, he'll let you pet him and once you pet him, he'll be your best friend. He loves to cuddle up in bed, his blankets or his little kennel house. He listens pretty well to commands like "sit", "find your bed" and when you call him. I really hope I can find someone who will love him the way I was able to for those first few years we had together, and give him a great rest of his life.

Story
Meet Tim, a big personality crammed into a teeny tiny 6–7 lb body. At 5 (almost 6), this little Chihuahua is sensitive, cautious, and learning to trust at his own pace. He is adorable, expressive, and fully committed to doing things his way. Tim is a fearful little guy and will need a patient, adult-only home. He has learned lots of new things while in foster care – like the art of the doggie door, couch snuggles, occasional walks (catching him to leash him is sometimes a challenge) and TREATS! He is a ninja at accepting treats. Food and patience truly are the way to his heart. Once Tim trusts someone, he becomes super snuggly and transforms into a tiny, affectionate shadow who just wants to be near you – kind of like a cat though. Those hard-earned cuddle moments are pure magic and absolutely worth the wait. He is silly, playful, and loves his toys. He is also free-roam trustworthy, and gets along well with other dogs. Tim is looking for someone who loves an underdog story and understands that progress comes in baby steps. He needs patience, consistency, and someone who celebrates the small wins. In return, you get the honor of being Tim’s safe place and watching him slowly blossom into the sweet boy we know he can be. If you’re ready for a tiny dog with big feelings and even bigger charm, Tim is ready to meet you. Tim is being fostered in Longmont, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/tim/. Story
Elden is a tiny guy with big feelings. At 1.5 years old this little Chihuahua is basically a shy introvert who accidentally signed up for life on Earth. Elden came from a hoarding situation where he unfortunately never learned how to be a normal spoiled house dog. When he first arrived in foster care, the world was very suspicious: People? Definitely sus. Couches? Could not be trusted. doorbells? Oh hell nawww. After a month or so, Elden’s foster mom noticed a majorplot twist. He now comes out of his crate to socialize and has discovered that humans may actually be useful for things like snacks and gentle ear scratches. And couches? The. Best. Thing. Ever. Especially if there’s a blanket available for snuggling. A few of his recent accomplishments: ✔ Leashed walks. What fun it is to explore. ✔Potty trained (a gentleman, however he may decorate a new space temporarily) ✔ Loves other dogs – they are his emotional support coworkers ✔Professional crate pickup specialist – if you need to pick him up, the crate is his safe “elevator” Things he’s still working on: •Being picked up in the open (he will perform a brief interpretive dance of avoidance) •Realizing that pets are good (he gets stiff at first but then closes his eyes and leans in like he’s downloading affection) •Learning that the world is not actually out to get him •Voluntary snuggling. He’s not a snuggler yet — but he very badly wants to be loved. With a patient human who gives him a few weeks to decompress, he will almost certainly turn into the kind of little dog who bonds deeply and follows his person everywhere. If you enjoy earning the trust of shy animals and want the reward of watching a tiny dog discover that life can be safe and cozy, Elden might be your guy. Bonus feature: only 9 pounds, so if he eventually becomes a stage-five clinger, he will be a very portable one. Elden is being fostered in Parker, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/elden/. Story
Meet Buster! Buster is a 4 (almost 5) year old, 15 lbs, Chihuahua mix. This sweet, gentle boy is a total cuddlebug once he feels safe with you. He’s fully crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on a leash. Buster is smart, but also very shy—he can be skeptical of new people and needs someone who will go slow, respect his space, and let him build trust at his own pace. Once he warms up, his personality shines. With continued socialization and positive exposure to new people and experiences, he’ll continue to grow in confidence. He’s very chill, loves hanging out at home, and will happily entertain himself watching (or chasing!) squirrels in the yard. He’s great in the car, has no separation anxiety, and prefers quiet environments over big groups. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will be your loyal shadow once he feels comfortable, Buster could be your perfect match. Buster seems to enjoy the company of similarly sized dogs, but he doesn’t require the company of one in his forever home. Buster is in foster in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/buster You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Shakira is a friendly, playful girl with all the curiosity and energy of a puppy—without the chewing phase. She does well with other dogs and cats, but her favorite moments are spent playing and heading out on walks with her people. Shakira is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Shakira is also tested with other dogs, cats, children, and potty and kennel trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
