Story
Meet Oscar! Oscar is a 2 year old, 13 lbs, super playful guy that loves his canine foster siblings. He has a feisty play style and will be best suited in a home with another playful dog. He may be small in size, but he’s big in personality, as some small dogs can be. He brings spunk, sass, and constant entertainment to his foster home. Despite his love for fun, he’s also up for a good lap snuggle. He is crate trained (although he likes to sing if he knows you’re home) and he’s working on house training. Oscar is being fostered in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/oscar/. Story
Clay (M) and Thumper (F) are a bonded pair of PomChi’s looking for a home. Clay is 8 and Thumper is 6 years old. They are both under 10 lbs with Clay at 8 lbs and Thumper at 7 lbs. These two are so sweet and cuddly. Wherever one goes the other is sure to follow. Their favorite spot is basking in the sun, working on their tans. Both seem to do well with their house training when they have outdoor access (a doggie door propped open) and also use puppy pads. Thumper isn’t fond of leash walking so we are seeking a home with a securely fenced in yard. These two would be fine as the only dogs in the home or joining an existing pack. A busy home likely not their jam. Clay & Thumper are being fostered in Longmont, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/clay-thumper/. Story
Meet Buster! Buster is a 4 (almost 5) year old, 15 lbs, Chihuahua mix. This sweet, gentle boy is a total cuddlebug once he feels safe with you. He’s fully crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on a leash. Buster is smart, but also very shy—he can be skeptical of new people and needs someone who will go slow, respect his space, and let him build trust at his own pace. Once he warms up, his personality shines. With continued socialization and positive exposure to new people and experiences, he’ll continue to grow in confidence. He’s very chill, loves hanging out at home, and will happily entertain himself watching (or chasing!) squirrels in the yard. He’s great in the car, has no separation anxiety, and prefers quiet environments over big groups. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will be your loyal shadow once he feels comfortable, Buster could be your perfect match. Buster seems to enjoy the company of similarly sized dogs, but he doesn’t require the company of one in his forever home. Buster is in foster in Broomfield, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/buster You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Daisy is an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She can be shy and a little aloof when you first meet her, but give her some time and patience and she’ll blossom into the sweetest little companion you could ask for. Once Daisy feels safe, she’s all about affection, cuddles, and being close to her people.Daisy would do best in a quiet, low-key home without children, where she can relax and move at her own pace. She’s mostly house trained, though she may have an occasional accident. She’s a low-energy girl who enjoys lounging and taking it easy, but don’t be fooled—when her people come home, she’s known to celebrate with the cutest zoomies! Her favorite things include tasty treats, cozy beds, and especially snuggling up in bed or on the couch with her humans. Daisy is happiest when she’s right by your side.Medically, Daisy has a grade 5/6 heart murmur that will need ongoing monitoring as she gets older. She recently had dental surgery and had most of her teeth removed, and she has mild anemia. Despite these things, she’s doing well and continues to enjoy the simple pleasures of being loved.Daisy’s ideal home would be with an older couple or adults without kids—someone who understands senior dogs, appreciates a calm lifestyle, and is happy to share their couch and bed with a devoted little snuggle buddy. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion who will reward your patience with endless sweetness, Daisy may be your perfect match.

Story
Hey I’m Chapo, and I heard you were looking for a sidekick? I’m your guy! I love nothing more than being a lap dog, passenger prince (I’m great in the car) and your snuggle buddy! I am guessed to be a 6-7 year old Chihuahua mix, and I came all the way from Oklahoma to be your best friend. A few things you’ll love about me is I’m handsome, great on a leash, potty trained, crate trained, and want nothing more then to be by your side. However, I do get bit overwhelmed with pushy dogs and also with young children, so I’d be best in a slower paced home with another slow and quiet dog as a friend and no little kiddos at home. I’d also love to be the only dog and soak up all the love if that's what you've got in mind as well! Please come visit me!
