Story
Jack is 10 years old and recently became homeless after a larger dog in the home attacked him causing him to loose his eye. His family could not afford the surgery nor did they feel like they could keep him safe and decided that they would not be picking him up from the vet when he was ready to go home. Jack is the sweetest little cuddle bug and the perfect lap companion at about 8-10 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines. Bloodwork looks great, heartworm negative, recently completed a dental with a few extractions.  He is still wary of larger dogs over 50 lbs, but great with smaller dogs his size. Gets along with the kitties in his foster home. He is crate trained and house trained. Loves a good comfy bed and is often found hiding under the blankets. adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms ( dogs 7 months old and older) .To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##2627759##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
A CALM-NATURED FRIEND:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 27 lbs. & needs to lose some weight Hi, my name’s Maisey – a wonderful, lovely girl with lots of love to share!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I couldn’t be happier to be part of the Mostly Mutts family!  I’m in a wonderful foster home while I wait to meet my new family. I came in heartworm positive, but I’ll be treated for that soon and hope to be with my new family before treatment starts.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  There’s a large dog in my foster home and we coexist well.  I don’t play with her; we just do our own thing.  I also met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did well with them though I didn’t play with them or show any aggression.  So, if you have a nice dog at home that is not looking for a playmate, let’s meet! / I sniffed the kitties out of curiosity initially, but other than that, I just ignore them.  All cats are different so I’m not sure how I would do with another kitty. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My foster says my personality is unbelievably sweet - I’m a little angel who’s adorable.  I follow my foster mom wherever she goes because all I really want is to be snuggled, hugged, and loved; I’m definitely an attention hound!  I’m used to being on the furniture and tend to gravitate toward women a bit more than men.  The shelter volunteers say I was very sweet and calm during my bath, just needing a little reassurance at first, and even though I was shy and a bit scared at the shelter, I was still a very good girl. / Energy level: 2-4. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m working on the ‘stay’ command in my foster home and when I was at the shelter, I knew the ‘come’ command.  You can teach me even more. / My foster reports that I’m fabulous in my crate!  It’s in the living room with the door open during the day, and I like going in and out on my own.  I keep it clean and enjoy the cozy blankets and a few toys inside. / My potty manners have been great in my foster home!  I quickly learned that the other dog goes to the sliding glass doors when she needs to potty, so I do that now, too!   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love following my person around and being a couch potato.  I must have been fed people food in my previous home, as I’m a bit overweight, but I’m working on that now.  I still try to convince my fosters to share their food - though they don’t, since it’s not good for me.  I enjoy a few hard chew toys, but more than anything, I just want to be with my human, soaking up all the love, hugs, and kisses. / I’m not a fan of sudden movements or loud noises, and I wasn’t comfortable being picked up by a man I didn’t know (I do have a little preference to women) and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  Since I wasn't kept on heartworm prevention in my previous home, I'm HW positive.  The good news is that I'll be treated for that in early March and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with their vet, so local adoption please.  I hope to be with my family before treatment starts!  A grade 3/6 heart murmur was heard on one side which may be from the heart worms and may go away in time, and I’ll be checked for it again, so just ask about that.  I need to lose some weight, so I’ve started on the salt-free green bean diet – just ask about this.  I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I’m a relaxed girl looking for a wonderful home!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  January 22, 2026, 11:07 am

Story
My mom became very sick and could no longer take care of me. Family stepped in and asked if Act2Pups would help me and I'm an Act2 pup now. I've finally settled in. I feel safe now and I'm moving forward. I spent the last 5 years sitting right next to my person, being hand fed and gaining a lot of weight. I'm now under 10 lbs and I feel grrrrreat!. A dental with 10 extractions helped me feel better as well. When I came into Act2Pups I could hardly walk on my back leg. I've lost weight and I'm getting exercise so my leg is getting better. I'm doing great with going out to potty which I had to relearn since I hardly went out at all for a long time. I still miss my person. I would so much like to have my very own person(s) and forever home real soon. I'm ready and I hope you are too.

These pups are in Acworth, Georgia too!

Story
6 year old Rucker was an owner surrender at a local animal shelter. He was adopted right away but then the holidays came and all the family came to visit. Rucker a small little guy with lack of social skills was overwhelmed with guest and little ones running around. He should have been decompressing and getting comfortable in his new home, but instead got overwhelmed and scared and ended up biting his new owner. He went to another county shelter for his 10 day bite hold, the family decided that they would not be taking him back at the end of the hold. Rucker was marked rescue only.Rucker is adjusting to his new life in a foster home. He started off terrified of the other dogs, but has learned to tolerate a few of the smaller ones. With slow introductions, he could live in a home with other small dogs, but would do best in a home as an only dog. He is perplexed by cats, and not a fan of small children.  If we had to guess, Rucker probably lived his whole life with a single female without many visitors (people/animals). He thrives one on one, but not in a crowd. Once he knows you, he is good, but reserved around strangers.  Like a typical Pomeranian, he has a lot to say. We would not recommend him in an apartment, condo or other multi-family dewelling.  He walks well on leash, is crate trained and house trained.   adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms .To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##2617103##
