Meet sweet Andy!! Andy was adopted from PAR as a puppy, and recently returned due to an owner life change. It was a difficult decision, but she wanted to give this precious boy the opportunity to live his best life. Andy is about 1.5 years old and is a perfect size at 35 lbs. (His mama was a 9lb chihuahua, btw!) Andy is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and loves a car ride!! He is very playful, but enjoys chllling on the couch too. Andy does great with other dogs and kids, so he would make a perfect family dog. This awesome boy can't wait to find his forever home! Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt! Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. We do charge a nonrefundable application fee of $10 to ensure that you are serious about adopting the pet. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting. Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. Rodney is a very curious, mischievous little guy who gets into everything, just like a little puppy. They say this guy is around 8 years of age and weighs 12 pounds, but he acts like a kid and he shows it by running a lot out of pure joy and fun and he adores being outdoors and laying in the sun. He is not good on a leash yet and is not housebroken but we are working on both. Cats are not welcome in his world at this point because he finds them strange and annoying. But he redeems himself with a family by loving to cuddle and snuggle. Can you believe that underbite he has? I mean it is the first thing you sort of notice about him. It might make him look tough but Rodney is a 'softie' through and through. He is just an adorable, sweet pup and he deserves a much better home than the hoarding conditions that he came from. My name is Prince Charlie and I am truly a dog with some royal habits in my everyday life. I was found on a rural back road in Tennessee and I just think that somehow my owners were misguided in dropping me off in the middle of nowhere. They didn’t explain but I think it was financial problems. But apparently the vet says that I am an adorable 8-year-old cream-coloredPug/Chihuahua boy with a heart of gold! I really don’t weigh much at all and the scales at the vet said 13 pounds. What I can say is that I am a strong and “bounce back “ boy that is ready to make your life happier and more loving with me by y our side. But listen up. I may be 8 years old, but I have a whole lot of energy to spare and so “senior” movements are not what I am all about at all. I can have the zoomies like the best of the youngsters out there. Hey…maybe they guessed my age wrong. Anyway, calling me a senior is maybe just in age but I don’t act like one and I don’t intend to. I am a boy that you can take out on walks, hikes, or social events outside and I will help you make more friends than you could ever imagine. I love all the dogs and cats at my foster home. I just love anything and everyone! The one thing that I am still learning after a short time in my foster home, is the house-training skills. But I can say that I am eager to please and so I am a great student trying to pass my house training exam. I am ready to be your fun machine, your love machine and your friendship matchmaker. Silver Sam is 5 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Part of a big hoarding case, he was taken to the shelter and there he sat for a few months. Critter Cavalry Rescue could not stand the thought that he was in that out of the way shelter where no one comes to adopt a dog. We pulled 7 dogs from that hoarding case and some had been there for 6 months. Sam is a hoot as they say. He is funny and active and must be watched if in a chain link fenced yard. He might find an escape route and take off just for the fun of it. He doesn’t go far but he sure does love the chase. He is good with other dogs and he is full of antics with the cats. He is almost housebroken and he is just the most loving lap dog ever. Such a great smile and attitude despite some terrible conditions in his previous life. He is with someone that loves the Chihuahua breed and understands all the little quirks. He really has not bad habits except the fun of occasionally making a run for it just to see you panic. My name is Lil Sirachi and I am what you call “cuter than a bug” and I honestly have to agree. Everyone raves when they see me and my siblings. There were eight of us born to a really special momma named Gina. We are called Chiweenie puppies, like our momma. I was born April Fool’s Day and by July 12th, I will be ready for that perfect home that wants a little boy like me to make their life so much more fun and perfect! My foster mom honestly does mostly adult small dog fostering, but she is really on an adventure right now with me and some of my siblings. She says I am so very affectionate and sweet and that napping is my favorite thing to do. But when I am awake I am zooming all over her apartment and doing some of the funniest puppy things that make her laugh. I am good at hitting the potty pads most of the time and I know how to go outside too. I am a “talker” according to my foster mom, Miss Lisa. She says I have the cutest voice and I use it with her and when I am playing with my siblings. I probably won’t be much bigger than 15-20 pounds when fully grown up.
