Occasionally mimics other dogs’ behavior (e.g., tearing pee pads or tissues), but nothing severe. --- 🏡 Home Environment ✔ Apartment-friendly ✔ Yard not required ✔ Can live with other dogs (with proper adjustment time) --- 🌈 Rescue Story Haneui was found wandering alone in a rural village and taken to Iksan City Animal Shelter, where euthanasia is practiced. Story
Meet Chico, a sweet and charming 7 pound Chihuahua who is ready to find his forever home and the best friend he’s been waiting for. 💙 Chico is currently fostered in Toronto, where he is safe and cared for, but what he truly needs is something deeper and more permanent — a family who will choose him and promise that he will never be left behind again. Chico is wonderful with other dogs and is living happily alongside them in his foster home, showing just how gentle, adaptable, and easygoing he is. He has a loving, friendly, and social personality and truly seems to adore everyone he meets. With his classic Chihuahua charm, Chico is affectionate and devoted, always happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s comfortable being picked up and handled, enjoys cuddles, and seeks out connection whenever he can. He’s also a great eater and a playful little guy who still finds joy in the simple things — especially curling up in his favorite cozy teepee bed, where he feels safe and secure. Chico is up to date on his vaccinations and neutered. He does have a grade 3 heart murmur, which is being monitored but does not slow him down or stop him from enjoying life. He continues to play, love, and soak up affection, carrying on with a quiet resilience that makes him even more special. He’s already experienced being left behind once, and more than anything, Chico needs to know that the next place he goes will truly be his last. He’s hoping for a best friend, a companion, a little buddy who will give him stability, reassurance, and love — someone to share cuddles, gentle adventures, and the everyday moments that make life feel whole. Our foster to adopt program gives Chico and his future family the chance to build trust and make sure the match is just right. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving sidekick who will give you his whole heart and ask only for the comfort of knowing he belongs, Chico is your guy. 🐶💕 He’s ready to be chosen — and ready to love for a lifetime. 📧 To learn more about Chico or the foster to adopt program, please email c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

Story
CURRENTLY IN VANCOUVER!!! Charlie   Age: 3 years Sex: Neutered male Breed: Mix Color: Brown Weight: 8.05 kg Height: 32 cm     Rescue Story   Charlie was rescued from an extremely traumatic situation. After an elderly owner passed away, the home was found with deceased cats, one surviving cat, and Charlie — who had been left confined in the bathroom with a wire muzzle tied around his mouth.   After the scene was cleared by authorities and the landlord, Charlie was placed in temporary care and then transferred to a municipal shelter. Despite what he went through, Charlie has remained affectionate, intelligent, and deeply people-oriented.     ‍‍ With People   Charlie loves people and seeks connection.   • Approaches both familiar and new people with friendly body rubs • May be slightly shy at first, but warms up quickly with treats • Allows handling and enjoys being held when supported under the belly • Often shows his belly once comfortable — sometimes even to new people • Generally more comfortable with women • Can be fearful of some men and needs patient, calm introductions     With Other Dogs   Charlie is social and playful with other dogs.   • Greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and invites them to play • Friendly with dogs both larger and similar in size • If another dog challenges him, he may respond — so careful introductions are important   Cats & Prey Drive   • Has lived in a multi-cat household for about 5 months • On walks, he may stare at cats but will follow his handler • Shows prey drive toward birds   Energy & Activity   Charlie has medium to high energy and has athletic ability.   • Loves outdoor activity and play • Settles well after proper exercise • Needs daily physical and mental stimulation   He has even kept up with Border Collies and Malinois for hours of play — he is small but mighty.     On Walks   • Walks well on leash without pulling • Loves to sniff and may stop often to explore     At Home   • Uses both pee pads and outdoor potty • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Gets in and out of the car on his own • May bark at unfamiliar people     Food & Training   • Not food-protective toward people • May growl if another dog approaches while he is eating • Extremely food-motivated — excellent for training     Play, Training & Intelligence   Charlie is smart, athletic, and playful.   • Loves fetch, tug, and chasing toys • Prefers soft toys like socks and plushies • Enjoys puzzle toys and food-dispensing toys • Strong bite strength — toys wear out quickly   He has even won local competitions for: “Sit & Stay” “Find the Treat”   He thrives in homes that enjoy training, agility, and interactive play.     The Right Home   He needs: A confident, consistent handler Daily exercise and mental stimulation Structured introductions to new dogs and people   In return, he becomes deeply loyal, funny, energetic, and emotionally bonded to his person — a true partner for someone who enjoys an active life with their dog.   Charlie is ready to give his whole heart to the person who gives him stability, leadership, and love. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Charong Age: 5 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua mix Color: Black & white Weight: 6kg / 13lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. I’m not sure how I ended up abandoned and alone—I was found wandering around an apartment complex before being taken to the shelter. Now that I’m safe, I’m ready to find my forever family!   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed with no known health issues Received dental cleaning in October 2025   MY PERSONALITY When you meet me, you’ll see what a handsome girl I am—I look like I’m wearing a little tuxedo, like a true girl boss! I’m a very energetic pup who loves going for walks and exploring the world. I adore people and thrive on human companionship—being close to my humans is one of my absolute favorite things!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly with people! I love greeting everyone and receiving pets and affection. You can easily pick me up and I like to show my belly a lot as a sign of trust. I am very affectionate with volunteers and staff and · With Dogs: I love playing with dog friends, but I have a very energetic, sometimes pushy play style—so I do best with dogs who can match my energy. I can be a bit too much for calmer or senior dogs. I also get jealous when other dogs get affection, so I’d be happiest as the only dog in the home where I can soak up all the love! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is still to be determined. When I see them on walks, I might watch with curiosity for a moment, but I quickly lose interest and continue on my way..   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I’m a fun, high-energy girl who loves adventure! I need plenty of outdoor time to run, explore, and let out my zoomies before I can settle happily indoors. Once I’ve had my exercise, I turn into the sweetest, cuddliest companion.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash overall, though I can pull when I’m excited or want to go a certain direction, so I’ll benefit from continued leash training. I don’t guard my food with people, but I can get protective around other dogs, so separate mealtimes are best. I’m very food-motivated and have a big appetite—sometimes I even try to sneak food from the table—so I’ll need some consistent guidance with manners. I already know basic commands like sit, and I rest calmly in my kennel. I may bark when I want attention, and I can mark a bit when I’m adjusting to a new environment. If I join a home with another dog, slow introductions are important since I can come on a little strong at first. With patience and structure, I’ll settle in beautifully!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a fun, structured, and safe environment. A family that understands my high energy needs and willing to guide me with patience so I learn to be more patient and calmer. A family that understands my love for food & helping me become more patient when other dogs are nearby. Ideally home as a single dog A family that will cherish me and spend lots of outdoor & indoor time together.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a super sweet, friendly girl who absolutely adores people! I know my forever family is out there waiting for me. I’m considered a level 1 rescue dog, which means I adapt quickly and settle easily into new environments—just give me a little love, and I’ll feel right at home.   Charong's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2579663##

Story
QUICK FACTS  Name: Chorong Age: 4 years Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua Colour: Brown Weight: 4.1kg / 8.8lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY   I was once on the euthanasia list at Busan City Shelter, waiting for a second chance. Luckily, I was rescued just in time, and now I’m ready to find a loving forever home where I can feel safe, happy, and cherished every day. I may be small, but my heart is full of love, and I can’t wait to share it with you.   MY PERSONALITY  I’m sweet, friendly, and love being close to people — even strangers! I roll over to show my belly, enjoy cuddles, and bring the classic Chihuahua charm. I’m polite with dogs (especially my size), easygoing, and don’t guard my food. I’m playful but calm, and I love both affection and cozy naps.   SOCIAL SKILLS  With People: I love to be close to people, and I’m not shy around strangers—I’ll happily come up to you, rub against you, and let you pet me. You can even pick me up and hold me with my belly in your arms. Once I get comfortable, I love showing my belly to anyone, even people I just met! With Dogs: I greet new dogs politely, but I don’t usually play with them. I tend to be friendly with dogs that are similar in size to me. With Cats: I haven’t been observed around cats yet, so my reaction to them is unknown.   ENERGY & HABITS  I have a moderate energy level and enjoy outdoor activities, but I like to rest quietly afterward. I tend to pull on the leash, but I generally follow my human’s lead. Since I’m still learning walks, I can get scared and flatten myself when something unexpected appears. I walk well in quiet areas, but sudden noises can startle me.   MY IDEAL HOME  I’d thrive in a calm home with loving humans who enjoy walks, cuddles, and can guide me gently. A quiet environment with few surprises would help me feel secure and happy.   SPECIAL NOTES  I’m well-mannered during meals, don’t guard food, and only whine a little when kenneled. I’m small, sweet, and full of love to give — are you my person?   Chorong's YouTube Playlist ##2568997##

Story
QUICK FACTS  Name: Joa Age: 1 year and a half Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua mix  Color: Light brown Weight: 4.5kg / 10lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was once roaming the streets all alone, unsure of how I ended up there. Thankfully, a kind rescuer spotted me and brought me to safety. I was so lucky to be taken into temporary care—who knows what might have happened otherwise. Now I’m safe at the care facility, waiting for a brand-new chapter and a forever family who will love and cherish me.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Spayed & healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I’m even smaller and cuter in person! I absolutely love sitting on your lap and am happiest when I’m close to my people. Volunteers and staff often say I look just like a little stuffed doll. I’m respectful and gently cautious, but at heart I’m truly a people’s dog who thrives on human companionship and loves being by your side.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I absolutely love interacting with people! I’m comfortable being picked up, and one of my favorite places to be is right on your lap for cuddles. I enjoy greeting new friends and soaking up all the pets and affection I can get. I haven’t had much experience with kids under 13 yet, but with my gentle and sweet nature, I’m confident I would do well with respectful children. · With Dogs: I like to greet new dog friends and am generally calm around them. I don’t rush into play right away and often prefer doing my own thing. While I get along well with other dogs, I’m truly more of a people’s pup and love getting attention and affection from my humans. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I’m a chill, calm girl with a mellow energy and a low-key personality. I don’t ask for much—just a little time to roam around outside and enjoy the fresh air. After that, I’m happiest curled up on your lap, snuggling indoors. I’m truly a little couch potato who loves cozy, peaceful moments with my people.    TRAINING & HABITS  I walk nicely on leash and do a great job following my handler’s lead. I’m respectful around food and don’t guard with people or other dogs. I rarely bark and am generally a very quiet girl. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and prefer doing my potty outdoors.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally the only dog in the household as I’m more of a people’s pup – not an absolute requirement however! I will do well with calm & respectful dog siblings    SPECIAL NOTES  Hi, I’m Joa. I may be calm and quiet on the outside, but I have a big, loving heart inside. I thrive on human companionship and truly enjoy being close to my people—whether that’s sitting beside you or curling up in your lap. I don’t ask for much, just a peaceful home where I can feel safe and loved. With my gentle nature and mellow energy, I adjust well and bring a comforting presence wherever I go. I’m ready to be someone’s loyal little shadow and share a lifetime of cozy, happy moments together.   Joa's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2663495##

Story
Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour.
