QUICK FACTS Name: Eeyu Age: 4 years old (Born April 2022) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua/Jindo mix Color: Light Brown Weight: 5.8kg / 12.8lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an animal hoarding situation where I was living alongside many other animals without the individual care and attention every dog deserves. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me the chance to leave that difficult environment behind. Now I’m ready for a fresh start and a forever family where I can finally experience what it means to be truly loved, cared for, and cherished as part of the family. MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date I had a history of seizures from April to August 2023 and was treated with oral medication. Since I remained healthy and symptom-free, the medication was discontinued. In November 2025, I experienced one seizure lasting less than five minutes. Thankfully, I have not experienced any additional seizures or related symptoms since then. MY PERSONALITY I’m super cute and even tinier in person! I can be a little shy when we first meet and may try to keep my distance while I figure out whether I’m safe. Gentle approaches and letting me move at my own pace are the best ways to earn my trust, and tasty treats definitely help! The good news is that I warm up pretty quickly. Give me about 30 minutes, some patience, and a few yummy treats, and I’ll start coming to you for pets and affection. During my profile photoshoot, I did so well and, once I felt comfortable, I kept rubbing my little body against everyone asking for more pets! MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a little shy when we first meet and need some time to feel safe and comfortable. Tasty treats are definitely the way to my heart, and with a little patience, I usually warm up pretty quickly! I know I’m super tiny and cute, so it can be hard to resist picking me up right away, but sudden approaches can make me nervous. Let me get to know and trust you first, and once I feel safe, you’ll get to see my sweet and affectionate side. · With Dogs: I’m friendly with my dog friends and get along especially well with dogs who have a similar energy level. I also do well sharing my space with the other dogs at the care facility. While I’m friendly, I’m not afraid to stand my ground if another dog is being pushy or rude. Thoughtful introductions and some supervision in the beginning will help everyone get comfortable and set us up for a happy relationship. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a high energy level and love spending time outdoors, exploring, and staying active! Once I’ve had enough exercise and excitement, I’m also happy to head indoors and relax comfortably. In new environments, I may pace around as I take everything in and can sometimes have a hard time staying focused because I’m eager to keep moving and exploring. With time, a consistent routine, and plenty of appropriate outlets for my energy, I should become more comfortable settling into my surroundings. TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead well. I also have good manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I know how to settle calmly in my kennel and can get in and out of the car on my own. I may shake a little during car rides because I’m still getting used to them, but overall I stay calm. With more positive exposure and practice, I should become more comfortable travelling in the car. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding of my shy nature and willing to be patient while I come out of my shell SPECIAL NOTES I may be tiny, but I have a big personality packed into my little body! Herman is a sweet little senior with an adorable face, a love of comfy dog beds, and a soft spot for canine companionship. He’s happiest spending his days relaxing in the living room, soaking up the sunshine on the patio, or napping close to his people. At 8 years young, his favourite things are pretty simple — cozy naps, yummy meals, bully sticks, lots of pets and giving kisses to his favourite people. He is housetrained and leash trained, although he could definitely live without the leash if given the choice. He’s not much of a toy guy either. Tiny would much rather curl up somewhere comfy and enjoy being loved. Tiny has mobility challenges but gets around the house amazingly well without his wheels. For longer adventures, his wheels give him the extra help he needs. Tiny is wary of men, so he will need a patient and understanding family who will give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. Kaela is a xolo, usually a hairless breed but she is one of two pups in her litter born with fur. Kaela is an affectionate and well-mannered girl looking for her forever home. Kaela has made the transition to life in her foster home very quickly. Kaela sleeps through the night in her crate. During the day, Kaela loves having multiple naps balanced out by short, fun bursts of high-energy playtime in the living room. She loves tug-of-war and is already starting to understand how to play fetch with a tennis ball. Kaela's house training is going well. When on a consistent routine (going out every 1.45 to 2 hours, and 20 minutes after meals), she is accident-free. She even has a favourite designated grass spot where she reliably does her business. Kaela loves her crate, often choosing to head into her crate all on her own to rest instead of lying on the floor. Indoor barking is minimal with her. Kaela barks when she is ready to play. Kaela has been eating dry kibble exclusively, and never begs for human food. She adapts to house rules quickly. She seems to understand what "no" means, easily learning which items are off-limits for chewing and which areas of the house are restricted. She is a wonderful blend of playful puppy energy, deep affection, and mature indoor manners.
