Silas the mixed breed puppy's Story Silas is a tiny 2-month-old male puppy weighing just about 3 pounds, with a sleek black coat accented by white markings. He came into the shelter as a stray, and unfortunately no siblings or parent dogs were found with him. While we don’t know much about his early life, Silas has already shown that he’s resilient, curious, and ready to embrace a brighter future. Our best guess for Silas’s breed mix is Chihuahua with some Terrier, which means he’s likely to grow into a small but spirited companion. Like any puppy his age, Silas will need a family prepared for training, socialization, and the patience that comes with raising a young dog. In return, he promises plenty of affection, personality, and the chance to grow up knowing what it means to be safe and loved. He is working hard on potty training in Texas, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, February 6th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday February 6th. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable.
