Story

We took Rascal in after his abusive owner went to jail. We have been trying to get him into a home and its been a challenge because of his age and the fact that he has some aggression. He has no teeth so he requires food that can be smashed. He has been around my dogs and my kids and the only time he gets aggressive is when he thinks he needs to "protect" like when my boys are playing fighting. I think he has been through alot and it probably sets him off from his past. With his past owner he was living in a storage and also outside in a freezing car. We havr gotten him to a point where he is so much better. We just cant keep him much longer. We have a really busy schedule and nobody is home during the days to let him outside. But he is a sweet and loves his blankets.

Suna is a sweet Chihuahua mix around 5 years old with a gentle, comforting presence. She’s the kind of dog who bonds closely with her person and loves being nearby—whether that means following you around the house or keeping you company during quiet moments (yes, even in the bathroom!) She has been eating her breakfast and dinner well and prefers a little wet food mixed into her dry kibble. Adding a bit of warm water to soften it makes mealtime extra enjoyable for her. Suna also loves cozy comforts—comfy blankets are a favorite and she’s happiest curled up next to you. Suna currently uses potty pads and is learning to go potty outside. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys her daily walks, but she is not a fan of cold weather or going out in the snow. On chilly days, she’d much rather stay warm and snug indoors. She’s been eating and sleeping well and has settled into a nice routine. During the day, Suna is quiet and soothing, but in the evenings after dinner she becomes more playful and active.
