Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Mikey! Mikey is a 1-year-old, 15 lb Dachshund/Spaniel mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. He’s now looking for a very special home that can give him the time, patience, and understanding he needs to thrive. Mikey is a shy, sensitive boy who can be skittish in new situations and around new people. He is considered a flight risk, so he will need a calm, secure home committed to keeping him safe while he learns to trust and settle in. He’s looking for a quiet, predictable environment—ideally outside of the busy city—where he can decompress, build confidence, and establish a steady routine. Because of his sensitive nature, Mikey will need an adult-only home with adopters who have experience working with shy or fearful dogs. Having another well-adjusted, confident dog in the home would be a huge benefit for Mikey. He takes comfort in other dogs and would love a buddy to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. While he may be reserved at first, once Mikey forms a bond and feels safe, he shows his true colors—sweet, cuddly, and deeply loving with his people. He just needs time, patience, and a gentle approach to get there. Mikey has not been tested with cats. Mikey is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Meet Sweetpea! Sweetpea is an 8-year-old, 10-lb purebred Dachshund with a huge love for people and a heart that’s ready for a fresh start. This little girl came to us after experiencing some neglect, including a skin condition and significant dental disease. Our veterinary team recently performed a dental procedure and had to remove all of her teeth. During that visit, they also discovered an old fracture in her jaw that left the lower jaw with very little bone support. Because of this, Sweetpea’s jaw is fragile and she will need to stay on a special soft-food diet for the rest of her life. She cannot have anything hard (including kibble or crunchy treats), as further damage to the jaw could require surgical removal of the lower portion. Right now she does great eating soft foods like shredded chicken, canned dog food, and soft options such as baby rice cereal. Sweetpea gets along well with other dogs, but for her safety we are looking for a home without other pets. This will prevent any chance of her accessing hard food or kibble that could harm her jaw. Despite everything she’s been through, Sweetpea has a wonderful personality. She absolutely loves people and enjoys soaking up attention. She does not have separation anxiety and can be left home alone without issue. She is also pee pad trained and does well with a routine. She will need to be taken outside shortly after eating, as she tends to need a bathroom break soon after meals. Sweetpea’s ideal home: • No other animals (to keep her diet strictly soft food) • An attentive adopter who can carefully manage her special diet • Adults only household able to closely monitor her jaw health • Someone looking for a loving little companion who adores people Sweetpea may have some special needs, but she has so much love to give. With the right home, this sweet little dachshund will happily spend her days cuddling, enjoying her soft meals, and being someone’s devoted companion. Sweetpea is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $300.

Story
Animal Information:  Roux  is  an  estimated 10 -month- old  female Dachshund   terrier  mix  who  weighs  about 18  pounds.  She  arrived  at  Caddo  Parish  Animal  Services  in  Louisiana  as  a  stray,  so  not  much  is  known  about  her background. Roux is playful with other dogs and very friendly with people. She is quick to roll over on her belly and wiggle her short little legs in the air for attention. We can't wait to meet this happy little girl! Foster Profile: This perfect little pocket pittie mix is all love wrapped up in the cutest, most compact size. Roux is incredibly friendly and will be the first to come over for cuddles—she truly just wants to be near her people. She gets along great with other dogs and loves to play, but she’s also respectful and understands boundaries like a pro. Roux is a great listener, eager to please, and has wonderful manners. She hasn't had any accidents since she arrived and appears to be potty trained, crate trained, and more than ready to settle into her forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will bring so much joy (and snuggles) into your life, Roux is your girl. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Caddo Parish Animal Services in partnership with Tail Lights Rescue Project. She will be transferred via TLRP, arriving to foster care on 4/11/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. April 28, 2026, 10:25 pm

Story
Phynn is a 12.4 pound, 2 year old love bug with a silky red coat and the cutest long curled tail you’ve ever seen. He’s the definition of a gentle companion, a little shy at first but once he warms up, he just wants to be close to his person. Phynn would thrive in a low key home, ideally with someone who is home more often, as he truly enjoys that companionship, though he can be left alone for short periods. He gets along well with small, calm dogs his size, but larger dogs can be stressful for him. Because of his sensitive nature, a home with older children or a quieter environment would be the best fit. Phynn isn’t much into toys or rough play. He prefers lounging around, roaming the backyard with his foster buddies, and having the occasional “chat” with the neighbor dogs. This sweet boy is a total cuddle bug. He loves being held like a baby, snuggling on the couch, and even sleeping under the covers with you at night. He’s quiet, laid back, and happiest just being near his person. At mealtime, he’s all in and eats great, and he’s fully house trained and even uses the doggy door. You can apply directly for Phynn by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-808 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. ELMER AND THE OTHER PUPPY, TITAN, WERE PLACED IN QUARANTINE AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPOR SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. HE LIKES TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER NEW THINGS, MEET PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL PLAY. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
To meet Robocop, please submit an application at www.thehausofdogs.com/adopt . For more pics and vids follow us on: YouTube @thehausofdogs TikTok @thehausofdogsofficial Facebook or Instagram @thehausofdogs Robocop’s story of loss started last August when his original family rehomed him to his current mom. That family shoved him into her arms and drove off, never looking back. The whole exchange lasted a couple minutes. Fast forward to today, his current mom is about to check into a substance abuse treatment facility. She’s also facing eviction amidst leaving behind an unhealthy relationship with her partner of 2 decades. She mustered up all the courage and willpower she had to reach out to us for help because she wants the best for Robocop - a safe, stable and loving home so that she can focus on recovery and being the version of herself she’s always wanted to be. We have the utmost respect for her grit and determination, and are supporting her journey of recovery by finding Robocop his forever home. He's good with people of all ages and indifferent towards other dogs. We were also informed that his first home where he spent the first 5 years of his life, had very young kids and cats, and he did great with them. His most recent home had a large resident dog. If you're the person who'll finally give Robocop his furrytale ending, we can't wait to meet you!
