FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED IMMEDIATELY: Meet Bean! He is a sweet, adorable, 2-year-old, 18lb Chihuahua mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. When Bean arrived at our rescue he was completely shut down and has not done well in the kennel environment as it is very stressful for him. He recently went to a short-term foster and he came alive. He would love to get back in a home environment as soon as possible where he can thrive. Initially, he is shy but once he warms up, he loves deeply and enjoys being with his people. He is a well-mannered boy who walks great on a leash and loves to go for walks. He rides great in the car and is calm and relaxed. He LOVES to play with other dogs, and they bring out the spunky, fun side of him and give him confidence. He will need another playful dog in his home to help him feel secure. He would do best in a stand-alone home with a securely fenced yard. Due to his shy nature, we are recommending an adult home for him as sudden movements still scare him. Bean is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

He is a very loving and affectionate dog, who is currently living in a foster home. He loves to be with his people and receive love and attention. He walks well on a leash, enjoys riding in a car, knows some basic commands, and is crate trained. He has gotten along well with other dogs in our care and could do fine with another dog in the home, however he would also do great as an only dog where he can be spoiled and soak up all the attention. Benny is a 7-year-old, 12lb Chihuahua/Terrier mix looking for his forever home. He is extremely strong-willed and loaded with personality. He wants to be in control and needs a strong alpha owner. Once he bonds to his person, he is a lover! Benny is a velcro dog. He keeps tabs on his human and likes to be near them and protective. He is very aware of his surroundings. He is territorial, but with consistent socialization, he has overcome much of his aggression. His forever home will need to continue socializing him, his behavior will continue to improve. He is a funny little guy that thinks he is a cat - he likes to stand on your shoulders or crawl on top of things to explore. Benny has a very strong prey drive and will chase cats, rabbits, birds, squirrels, etc. He is not an excessive barker and is quick to recognize recurring noises and adjust his behavior. He is extremely smart and learns fast. He is also a talker and he will talk until you figure out what he wants (humans are so slow). When he is not snuggling, he is very independent and does his own thing. He does not like to be disturbed when he is busy or sleeping. He knows how to sit and shake hands. He will guard resources at first, but not once he feels safe. He does not exhibit separation anxiety and is not destructive. He can react when his harness is put on or removed and seems sensitive about his tummy. He also reacts to entrances and exits as he does not like change. His forever home will need to give him lots of patience and support so he feels secure and can relax. Benny is good with calm female small dogs and some large dogs, he has very strong preferences in everything. His behavior will alter depending on his doggy friend. NOTE: Benny is fearful and untrusting with men. It's our recommendation that he be in a female household with no kids or cats. Households should have rescue or fearful dog experience. He will be aggressive when meeting for the first time. Benny is UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.

Adorable little Daisy is just a bit over 18mo and she weighs 12lbs. She is a very sweet girl that can be a little shy when first meeting new people. She is very food motivated so with just a treat or two she quickly opens up to become your best friend. She loves to go on walks and explore, so this is another great, bonding exercise. Daisy enjoys running and playing with dogs her own size so another dog in the home would be ideal, but it’s not required. She must at least have periodic play dates. She is a quiet girl that is fully house trained and crate trained so she can be left home alone for a reasonable amount of hours. She has not been socialized with toddlers and they make her a little nervous so kids must be over 12yrs old. A fenced yard would be best.

Hola from Señor Peanut! This little ball of energy was abandoned on the side of the road in rural Missouri where we rescued him during our move to Washington! This little guy loves everyone he meets and just wants to sit with you while you both watch TV. He is a little anxious from his previous life but over the last year has shown to be a loving and sweet boy! He needs a home that is willing to take the time to make sure he is able to go outside often to maintain his potty training. (He is potty trained but this was a major accomplishment from when we first rescued him) The only reason we are rehoming him is that we knew we were just a foster home for him to recover in until he found his forever family!

Bombom is learning to get adapted to spending time with her foster and foster family inside the house. She has not tried to walk outside yet. *Separation anxiety: A home camera was installed in the house to see Bombom when the foster family went outside, and Bombom she was waiting and missing her foster family. *Potty-training: Bombom mostly stays indoors and can perfectly go in the center of the potty pad!💯 * Energy Level (1~10): Level 2 * Socialization -People: Curious about people but still scared. When her fam approach her, she tends to step backward. Still gets nervous and flinches when someone tries to touch her but doesn’t move away from her spot. She’ll take treats if her family is holding them. Once in a while, she approaches her foster and the family first! She can get nervous and tremble if she makes eye contact with human strangers. She moves away when someone suddenly comes at her. -Dogs: She gets along with the foster's dog. *She's still scared of Bombom’s surroundings and everything in the world. To protect herself, she “growls” but doesn’t show other aggressive behavior. When Bombom learns to build up trusting relationships with people and there are more enjoyable things than scary things in the world, it will be a great help for her to adapt to a new environment! *Bark: Doesn’t bark at all. *Is possible to bathe her but Bombom is still scared and uncomfortable with bathing and tries to move away.
