Story
Zumi is a handsome Shepherd / Herder mix boy with a very happy spirit. This fun-loving guy is pure happiness, he loves everyone he meets! Kids, cats, dogs, and all people are instant friends in Zumi’s world. If you’re looking for a social butterfly with a wagging tail, he’s your guy. Zumi walks beautifully on leash and already knows several commands, including sit, give paw, and lay down. He’s incredibly eager to learn and motivated to please — training with him is not only easy, it’s fun! He’s the kind of smart, attentive pup who looks at you like you are his whole world. Zumi LOVES to play! He absolutely adores squeaky toys, loves to run, and if there’s water involved, even better! Splashing around brings out his goofy side. (Leaf blowers, however, are not his favorite thing — we all have our quirks!) Zumi is also a champion cuddler. He gives the best hugs and happily leans in for one right back. After a day of play and fun, he settles in nicely and sleeps through the night like a dream.

Story
Meet Cookie and read what her foster has shared about her. Cookie is nothing short of a wonderful dog. She has a calm and very loving personality, bonds deeply with her people and gives lots of kisses. She loves humans and is always eager to say hello! She's joyfully energetic and channels her energy very well in the house, enjoying rest and nap time after a long walk. She's also very smart and knows "sit", "wait", "leave it" and "paw". Frequent walks and hikes are needed, especially as Cookie loves being outside and exploring. She gets at least 1.5 hours of exercise in a day (walks + running in an enclosed space where she can burn off her energy and get her zoomies out). Every 2-3 days, she goes on a longer walk or hike for 3 to 4 hours. She adores her walks and needs an active and outdoorsy family. Cookie is also fully houstrained. She can totally be trusted when left alone and we allow her to free roam in the house. She sleeps on her dog bed in her crate at night (in the living room), and often hangs out in her crate during the day to be in her own space, when she's not by our side napping or asking for pets and snuggles! Overall, she's a happy pup who really wants to make friends and highly benefits from being socialized with dogs as it seems to boost both her mood and self-confidence. She is especially drawn to her northern breed cousins (huskies and samoyeds, to name a few) and enjoys playtime sessions with them. At times, Cookie can feel a little insecure and may resource guard her person from other dogs, so she will do best with an adopter who understands this behavior and can provide clear boundaries and reassurance. She has strong prey drive so is not good around small animals. While she does well with most dogs outside, she is more selective about dogs in her home when it comes to personality, size, and playfulness. We think Cookie would do well either in a home with a self-confident, energetic dog companion she can play with, or in a single-dog home where her human(s) find opportunities for her to be around other dogs and play. Please submit an application for her if you think she is a match for you.

Story
Chowder is a happy, fun-loving boy with loads of love to share. He loves to spend his day playing with his people, other canine companions, and a ball. Chowder loves to play fetch, though he isn't always great at giving it back. Chowder is currently housed with 3 other dogs, and they play all day. Chowder craves human attention, and begs to go on walks. He would do best in an active household. Chowder does well off-leash. he is inquisitive, and likes to check things out, but comes back when called. Chowder can be food aggressive, though are working with him and he has gotten much better. He would probably do best in an adult-only home, as he will act out if he feels threatened. Chowder would not be a good fit for a house with cats. Nonetheless, all Chowder really wants is a family and home to call his own, and he will delight whoever is lucky enough to take a chance on him. He really wants to be loved, and to do what is asked of him. He is very expressive and fun to be around.

Story
Banks is a high energy, lovable, 3-legged Border Heeler. He loves people, other dogs, and he LOVES balls. He is an expert at catch, loves to run, and loves to cuddle with his humans. When Banks was 2 years old, he lost one of his rear legs to an accident. However, it did not slow him down or dampen his spirits. All of these amazing qualities also make it extremely hard for him to live in our family home with our young child. We are now expecting our second child, and we cannot keep up with Banks' needs. We want to find him a forever home where he can get plenty of exercise and be happy and cared for properly. Here are some elements to a great forever home for Banks: - No young children - Access to a large outdoor space (maybe a farm?!) - A dedicated adult(s) that can maintain his training and exercise (no adults with traditional jobs where Banks would have extended time alone) - Someone with experience with Border Heelers or other working dogs - An experienced dog trainer

Story
Delilah is a spunky, high energy six month-old puppy. We rescued her from a shelter when she was 2 months old. We’ve provided her with an attentive and loving home and up-to-date vet care. She is healthy, super smart, house trained, crate trained, affectionate and will thrive with consistent activity, training and opportunities to use her working-dog skills. She appears to have strong border collie/shepherd traits possibly McNab (reactive to movement, high energy, focused, athletic, mouthy, ready to herd). She needs strong, consistent training and a “job” (farm life?) or lots of active adventures.

Story
if you love lots of kisses , Luna is the best . She is a sweet girl and loves deeply . Howeverat 5-7 months, she had behavioral issues from being pretty fearful of life around her.Luna is really sweet and wonderful when she gets adjusted to her environment; however, we have been struggling with getting her comfortable with being around other people. She had been lacking in socialization with other dogs and people. She is scared of other dogs occasionally and really bad with people; she barks at anyone who comes near her. She is quite verbal, we are currently working with a trainer whom she has been comfortable with, and she is doing better at not barking from a distance. However, she is quite stubborn and does not always listen which is normal for a 2-year-old girl. I have no doubts she can be trained, but I don’t believe I can give her the proper environment she deserves. She is sweet, loving, and kind, and very misunderstood with her barking issues.
