So very nice to meet you all! My name is Zada and I'm a 3 year old, 61lbs., Collie Shepherd mix that is one outgoing and happy girl. I'm a curious girl that enjoys playing in the yard and meeting new human friends. I'm a pretty social lady that will walk right up to you to say hi and maybe sit for a few good scratches. I'm energetic and playful as well; I'm pretty good at 'fetch' if I do say so myself! I also have a very polite 'sit' especially if you have a tasty treat. I would love to go home with a family that has had large energetic dogs like me before and if I sound like the girl for you, please bring in the whole family including any resident dogs so we can all meet before going home together! He is very friendly and enjoys being around people. He is submissive by nature, loves belly rubs; and very food motivated, so is easy to train. Seven is friendly around adults and kids, also good with other dogs; he would share his toy and food without getting into fight. He is house trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; a good rider in the car; no barking or chewing behaviors. Seven will make a great family companion pet and a good walking partner! Seven’s rescue story: At three months old, Steven was deserted at the park. For several months, he lived around the park, under the threat of other unfriendly stray dogs and the chasing of animal control crew. Until several months later, a volunteer took him for neuter operation and arranged a foster family for him. We were contacted soon afterwards and started the adoption program for this young life. She is attached to humans by nature; loves tummy rubs and giving kisses, even around strangers. She could be a little shy when approached by strangers, but would not take long for her to respond passionately. She is friendly to adults and children alike; shares food and toys with other dogs, and never engage in fight with other dogs; very well behaved, not a chewer or barker; also enjoys her daily walks and car-ride. Becca is obedient and enjoys being around people, will surely make a great companion pet. Becca’s rescue story: Becca was rescued out from a ditch by the volunteer on her daily walk. Becca’s seven siblings were also found nearby. Because that area is an industrial park, banked by a storm drain, with heavy trucks in and out all the time, hardly an environment where young puppies can survive! Therefore, the volunteer posted a plea for adoption on line for these vulnerable puppies. The rescuer responded and placed the puppies with foster families while start preparing them for their forever homes. Mina is a cute girl who is always down for some fun! Mina is estimated to be about 4 months old, and she is a smart and happy girl. She missed out on some socialization as a young puppy, so she is still learning about the world, but has blossomed in foster care and can't wait to meet her fur-ever family. Mina currently weighs about 20lbs, and we estimate that she will be around 50lbs when fully grown. Mina came to us from our partners, BONES Pet Rescue in Covelo. Mina and her sister (who has already been adopted) were found on a remote road, likely dumped by their previous owners. A friend of BONES found the puppies and brought them to the rescue. After some TLC, they were transferred to one of our foster homes, and Mina has been growing like a weed ever since. Mina is a curious and playful girl who likes to make new friends and romp around in the yard. She enjoys gentle pets and will even give you sweet kissies if you're lucky. She is still learning all the ropes of being a dog, and needs a family who can be patient with her while she learns and gains confidence. One thing that really helps her feel comfortable is having dog friends. We are hoping she can be adopted by someone who has a confident dog for her to bond with and can help mentor her. Mina is going to be a great companion for someone who is committed to continuing her training and socialization. She is an active and smart girl who learns quickly, especially if yummy treats are involved. Mina has done great with dogs of all sizes, but can be a tad too playful for older dogs, so would do best with a dog who can keep up with her energetic personality. We haven't seen Mina around cats, but she may do well with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Mina has done well with being around livestock and even an extra-large tortoise. Due to her shy personality, Mina would do best in a home with kids older than 12 years old. Mina is still working on all of her basic manners, including house and crate training. She has been doing well being left alone in a secure outside pen, and is happy to keep herself amused out there during the work day. Mina is such a great little girl who has so much potential. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. Rusty is a fun, lovable goofball. He loves going on walks and runs, loves playing fetch and tug-o-war. He loves to lay around and relax. When you get home he is so excited to see you he can hardly contain it. Because of this we taught him to go get a toy to help with the excitement. We found out my wife was pregnant at the beginning of the year and a month later he became aggressive towards our other male dog . Its gotten to the point where they are no longer comfortable around each other and hes the instigater. Hes fine around our female dog, other families dogs, and fosters weve previously had in the house. He knows his basic commands of sit, down (lay down), come, and stay. He knows the name of a few toys such as ball, rope, and duck duck He knows a few tricks as well including paw, other paw, and when the treat is right, high five and double paw. Hes currently sleeping in a crate at night but spent most of his life sleeping in bed with us. He's a sweet and lovable companion
