Story
Peabody's journey began when he was discovered as a stray, wandering the streets alone. After spending five days in "doggie jail," he found his way to the rescue  in search of a loving forever home. This charming pup is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, ready to embark on the next chapter of his life. Described as a good boy with a heart full of love and energy, Peabody thrives in the company of an active family who can provide him with plenty of attention and playtime. He's adept at navigating the ins and outs of home life, being house, crate, and doggie door trained. While he hasn't been tested with cats, he's known to get along well with female dogs. However, Peabody does have a tendency to engage in fence fights with other dogs in his vicinity, which may require some training and supervision to manage. Despite this challenge, his affectionate nature shines through, making him a delightful companion for the right family. Since October of 2022, Peabody has been patiently waiting for his perfect match at the rescue, eager to find a forever home where he can shower his new family with love and joy. ##1563395##

Story
My story is both heart-warming and heartbreaking, but I'm glad I found my way back to the rescue organization that can help me find the forever home I deserve. I can be a gentle and loyal companion who simply craves the love and attention that every dog deserves. Despite the neglect I experienced in my previous home,I have adjusted well since being returned to the rescue. My shyness and caution around men is understandable, but with the right patience and care, I'm confident I will blossom into a wonderful family member. Here are a few key points about you that stand out: I am a loyal and humble companion who appreciates the simple things in life, like gentle pats and a calm voice. I may be a bit shy at first, but will warm up to people and become the heart of the home. I would do best in a quiet, loving environment, and would make a great match for older children or a veteran looking for a furry friend. Despite the neglect in my past, I have adjusted well since being returned to the rescue.  I truly believe that with the right forever family who is willing to give me the time, patience, and love I deserve, I will flourish. I have so much to offer, and I hope to find that special someone who can provide me with the forever home I've been searching for.  Please fill out an application for me at www.fureverdogdenver.com, if you have any questions or would like to meet me, please call 720 588-6809. ##2096191##

Story
I'm looking to rehome Solus to someone with more time/energy/space so he can enjoy himself as my life has changed where I can no longer provide for him. Looking for an experienced owner as he does need some training and work. He does have some anxiety and get aggressive/scared while meeting new people but once he warms up he'll always want to play with you. He needs to be the only animal in the house, preferably with a nice yard to run around and play in. On walks he does like to explore but you can pull him along, and we've been working on walking "with me." His previous owner had kids aged 5 and 7 so he has some experience with them. He is house trained, and you can lock in him his kennel for a short while. When left alone at home he has never destroyed anything and just lays around waiting for you to return. I have Embrace pet insurance for him that can be transferred for behavioral training/meds. He knows sit, stay, lay down, and roll over. Ask anything you want to know.

Story
Iggy is a good girl, she loves to have space and look out a window if inside. I would love for her to go somewhere with a yard, she loves to run. She also loves the snow, but hates the rain...silly girl. She is housetrained, and will stay in whatever area has her bed. Iggy does get nervous and anxious around new people, it will take her a second to get used to them, quicker if they pet her to let her know they are safe to be around. Iggy loves to play with other dogs, but is sometimes selective on who she becomes friends with. We adopted her when she was 5 months old and she is currently 3 years old. I love this girl, and as much as I don't want to lose her, I think she deserves so much better.

Story
Copper missed out on early socialization opportunities and will require a patient guardian who can help him continue to find joy and safety. He adored the dog he previously shared his home with and is therefore required to reside in a multi-dog household. To make sure he finds a good fit with another canine, we're requiring a doggie meet and greet here at the shelter before an adoption. Copper was uncomfortable being confined in his previous home and will need your support to navigate alone time moving forward. Additionally, due to his tender personality HSBV will only rehome him to a family with children aged 10 and up.
