Story
Bootie is a 3MO, 10lb floofy little pup.  We are guessing she will be about 20-25lbs when full grown.  Bootie and her siblings are all different and unique, which makes it hard for us to even guess what breeds they truly are.  Honestly we have zero idea what their breeds are, but we know they are absolutely adorable, unique, and so, so sweet.   Bootie and her siblings were found as strays in a rural part of Texas.  They were absolutely terrified at first.  A wonderful rescue lady in the area brought all the pups back to her house and kept them safe until we could get them into our rescue program.  They have really started to come out of their shells and learn all that life has to give - when you aren't busy fighting for your life in the middle of nowhere.   Bootie and her siblings are typical puppies.  They love to play with each other, romp around with the fosters other dogs, and follow the foster around, cuirously watching them.  They love to snuggle and hang out.  Their forever families will need to be patient with them as they continue to learn all that life has to offer and that humans are kind and safe.  While they have little legs, they would still love to have a sibling to play with or someone who can take them on daily walks/adventures and get them continual mental stimulation and socialization. Story
Meet Puka Puka 🐾Puka Puka is a beautiful blonde girl with soft, floppy ears, a sharp mind, and a deeply loyal heart. She is very people-focused and forms strong bonds with her person. Out of all the puppies, she is the one who chooses closeness—curling up on the couch for naps and cuddles rather than settling on a dog bed.She is crate trained at night, confidently uses a doggie door, and thrives with routine and structure. Puka Puka loves to chew and will need appropriate outlets such as bones and durable toys to keep her happy and engaged. She is intelligent, observant, and enjoys having clear expectations.Puka Puka is selective with dogs. While she plays with her siblings, she has shown some early resource guarding behaviors around food and high-value treats and may growl if other dogs approach during these times. She can also become jealous when sharing attention, especially in close spaces like the couch. She has not been aggressive, but she communicates her boundaries clearly. Because of this, she would be happiest as an only dog in an adult household where she can receive focused, one-on-one attention. With the right match—an experienced, dog-savvy adopter who values companionship, consistency, and structure—Puka Puka has the potential to be an incredibly devoted, affectionate, and loyal best friend.

Story
Meet Maya – A Spirited Sweetheart Looking for Her Forever Home! Name: Maya Breed: Australian Kelpie–Terrier Mix DOB: December 7, 2024 Weight: 30 pounds Spayed, Vaccinated, and Healthy About Maya: Maya is a beautiful, medium-sized girl with a bright mind and a playful heart. She’s active, friendly, and full of curiosity. Whether it’s chasing a ball, going for a walk, or exploring the backyard, Maya is always up for an adventure. She loves people and enjoys being part of the action—but when playtime is over, she’s happy to curl up near her favorite humans. Breed Info – Australian Kelpie x Terrier: Australian Kelpies are highly intelligent, loyal working dogs with strong herding instincts. Terriers are energetic, clever, and full of personality. As a mix, Maya is the perfect blend of smart and spirited. She’ll thrive in a home that can provide both physical activity and mental stimulation. Expect a dog who learns quickly, bonds deeply, and loves to stay busy. Owner Responsibilities: Provide daily exercise (walks, playtime, or training games) Offer basic obedience training and positive reinforcement Feed a healthy diet and maintain regular veterinary care Include Maya in family life—she’s not a dog to leave alone or chained outside Keep her mentally and physically active to prevent boredom Provide love, patience, structure, and a sense of safety Things to Consider Before Adopting Maya: Time & Energy: Maya needs more than a quick potty break. She’ll do best with a person or family who is active and engaged. Finances: Dogs require ongoing expenses (food, vet visits, flea/tick prevention, grooming, toys, etc.). Housing Rules: Make sure your landlord allows pets—especially medium-to-large breeds. Allergies: Check for pet allergies in the household. Lifelong Commitment: Maya could live 12–15+ years. She’s not a temporary guest—she’s family. No Outdoor Chains or Isolation: Maya needs interaction, exercise, and affection. Leaving her tied outside is not safe or fair to her well-being. Why Maya Will Be a Great Addition: Maya is intelligent, affectionate, and ready to love her people with her whole heart. She’s great for active individuals, couples, or families who want a smart, loyal companion to join them on walks, hikes, or playtime in the yard. With the right environment and care, Maya will blossom into your most loyal friend—one who makes you smile every single day.
