Story
Peabody's journey began when he was discovered as a stray, wandering the streets alone. After spending five days in "doggie jail," he found his way to the rescue  in search of a loving forever home. This charming pup is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, ready to embark on the next chapter of his life. Described as a good boy with a heart full of love and energy, Peabody thrives in the company of an active family who can provide him with plenty of attention and playtime. He's adept at navigating the ins and outs of home life, being house, crate, and doggie door trained. While he hasn't been tested with cats, he's known to get along well with female dogs. However, Peabody does have a tendency to engage in fence fights with other dogs in his vicinity, which may require some training and supervision to manage. Despite this challenge, his affectionate nature shines through, making him a delightful companion for the right family. Since October of 2022, Peabody has been patiently waiting for his perfect match at the rescue, eager to find a forever home where he can shower his new family with love and joy. ##1563395##

Story
Rolly revels in having his belly rubbed while holding a tennis ball in his mouth! Still very much a puppy at the age of one, he’s 40 pounds of sweetness, friendliness and happiness once he feels comfortable around new people. Supremely loving towards his foster dad, he adores being the object of his attention, wants to be near him at all times, snuggling and cuddling, resting his head on him and sleeping on him. Blessed with the widest and warmest smile, Rolly also loves being outside, going for walks, runs and hikes, playing fetch and engaging with other equally friendly dogs. Passionate about PLAYING, he LOVES tennis balls and toys, particularly small plush toys, is, not surprisingly, motivated by toys and love, and currently knows “sit” and “no.” Never crated, at work on his puppy manners and house-training, Rolly relishes the idea of life in an extremely loving home, preferably with older children, that will polish his manners, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him happily active fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Welcome to Moe’s! So glad you’re here! While I might not be able to fold you a burrito, I can 100% snuggle like one. I’m 50 lbs of goofball and love showing my people affection. I’m about 3 years young and am a ball of joy to be around. When I’m out and about, people stop all the time to give me pets and say how cute I am (what can I say? Good genes, I guess). I know basic commands, including “sit,” “down,” and “kennel up,” and I will even shake your hand! I’m now working on perfecting my “stay,” “free,” “place,” “heel,” and working on table manners. I’m food-motivated, making training fun for all! I get along great with all dogs and even do well with cats! I play gently with my toys and enjoy a good roll around the grass or snow. I also absolutely love a good game of fetch! I possess an energetic spirit and would benefit from an active family, but I can also be lazy with you. I live for cozy moments on the couch, where I'm all about snuggling and receiving those coveted belly rubs. Leash walking is an ongoing learning experience. I can pull a bit when other dogs are around because I’m just so excited, but I'm an attentive listener. I have no doubt that with some structured training, I will be a great walking companion. I'm house-trained but still learning how to ask to be let out and do great with regular opportunities to do my business. I easily take medications if needed and willingly allow grooming. I will need a 5ft or taller fence as I have some ups!  I'm neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and will receive heartworm treatment at the full expense of the rescue. Fill out an application now, as I’d love to meet you and potentially become your forever companion! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1969485##

Story
Karsen is a very shy boy but is super smart and lovable to the person he bonds with. He knows basic commands, walks really well on a leash and loves taking walks. He loves running and playing in the snow as well as playing with his toys. He is house trained. He is cat and dog tested and does extremely well around both. This animal is in a foster home. If you would like to meet this animal, go to www.souldog.org to fill out an adoption application. When submitting your adoption application make sure to submit a good clear picture of your living room, kitchen, and yard. If you rent, you must provide proof animals are allowed. We will contact references. Once the application is reviewed our adoptions coordinator will send your information to the foster to set up a meet and greet. We ask that all members of the household come for a meet and greet to ensure there are no personality clashes. If you have other dogs in the home and are meeting a dog you must bring them for the meet and greet. Filling out an adoption application does not mean you will be adopting the animal. Doing a meet and greet with one of our animals does not guarantee you are adopting the animal. We will select the family we feel is the best choice for that animal after screening and meeting applicants.

Story
Meet Chapa, a super lovable and loving 2.5 year old Dutch Shepherd mix seeking her forever home! This friendly girl adores humans and is fully potty and crate trained. She is an INCREDIBLE dog, and is a perfect size - about 35 pounds.Chapa would be okay either as an only dog, or with a "balanced" to submissive dog playmate in her home. We haven't tested her yet with cats, but can do so upon request! Chapa loves long walks, playing fetch, zooming in your yard, and napping while you work - she is a super smart, fun, loving dog who has been overlooked at the shelter way too long. Her foster family are SHOCKED that noone has scooped her up yet - they can't wait for you to meet her!We ask that all members of the household come for a meet and greet to ensure there are no personality clashes. Story
This sweet, beautiful girl is Ogallala but everyone calls her Olga. She came to Soul Dog in 2021 fearful and feral. Over the past year in her current foster home, she has gradually blossomed from spending all her time cowering in the corner to spending most of her time lying relaxed in the corner. Olga is very fearful, but also very sweet and gentle. Her instinct is to get away, avoid detection, and be left alone. For the first several months in her current foster home, Olga hid in her selected corner and only snuck around at night to eat. She is not housebroken and has selected a spot in the house where she feels safe going potty. After several months in the house, she started to feel comfortable enough to look out the windows, and then even venture outside onto the balcony. As she has gotten comfortable and gained confidence, she has begun to show affection, as well as a bit of a playful, rambunctious side. She will occasionally join the family on the sofa and will even solicit attention once in a while. She hit a big milestone a couple months ago when she started barking at people from the window and balcony instead of hiding from them. (We are now working on stopping that behavior.) Although she has gained a lot of confidence, Olga still has a lot of fears and triggers. She is terrified of people and loud sounds, and anything that sounds like banging. The sounds of roofers or even kids playing basketball will send her running. She is a master escape artist and bolts when she gets scared, so you will need to be careful and vigilant and have a solid fence. She will go to her next home with a GPS collar just in case. She has come a long way over the past year with her foster and is starting to learn that some people and places aren't so bad. She needs a kind and understanding person to give her the patience, quiet, time, and love that she desperately needs.
