Story
Ranger is a very sweet, affectionate, loyal boy who wants to please. Unfortunately, he’s high-energy and not happy with city life – he wants to be out in the country where he can be with his person/people going in and out all day running around and barking to his heart’s content, then curling up with you in the living room at night. Ranger is hands down the smartest Collie we’ve ever met and would do very well with someone who was looking for a working dog or someone interested in getting into agility sports. Ranger loves going for car rides and walks, he’s leash trained and walks well with other dogs. He has separation anxiety and he does not do well in crates – he will need to go to doggie daycare or a pet sitter if your schedule requires you to be gone from home for extended periods of time. Ranger needs an experienced owner/family who can give him calm, consistent ongoing training and positive reinforcement; a family with young children would probably not be a good fit.

Story
Meet Willow!Hi there! My name is Willow, and I'm a sweet and playful four-year-old dog. I absolutely love being around kids, and I'm known for being great with them. Although I can be a bit skittish around men when we first meet, I quickly warm up and become playful once I feel comfortable.I have excellent house manners, which means I know how to behave well inside. I never beg for food, and you won't hear me barking unnecessarily. At night, I love to sleep at the foot of my fosters's bed, keeping them company and providing them with warmth and comfort.Sometimes, when my foster leaves, I may scratch at the door. However, with a bit of training and adjustment, this behavior will improve over time. It could be a good idea to consider using a crate or kennel to help me feel secure and comfortable when I'm alone.Overall, I'm a really nice dog, and I would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving and loyal furry friend. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ollie! Oh my ears! Ollie is an adorable 7 month old Border Collie Mix that has the most expressive face with the cutest stand up ears you’ve ever seen. He is potty trained, crates and walk well on leash. Ollie’s foster family says he is a super quick learner and is treat motivated. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home and and has not shown any behavior concerns. He loves to play chase in the yard and fetch. Still working on giving the ball back. Lol! Ollie would do best in a home with older children as he is a herding breed. This medium size puppy is a great size for most home environments. He is fully vetted and ready to start meeting families.
