Story
Hi there! I'm Sable, a vibrant 2-year-old mixed-breed Collie dog, bursting with enthusiasm for outdoor adventures, especially playing with fellow dogs. 🐕As I continue to learn gentleness, I appreciate having a cozy retreat to unwind when feeling shy. A kennel or smaller room provides me with the perfect sanctuary. 🐕Let's talk about my passion for treats! As a foodie, I'm highly motivated by rewards, which makes training a delightful experience. 🐕While I enjoy walking, I sometimes get overexcited and pull on the leash - there's just so much to explore! With guidance, I'll master the art of walking by your side. 🐕When meeting new people, I might feel a bit apprehensive, but with patience, I warm up quickly. I adore pets, but please approach me gently. Loud noises can startle me, causing me to seek refuge. This is an opportunity for us to work together to build my confidence. My dream is to find a loving companion who will support me in becoming the best version of myself. Could you be that special someone? Available through Weatherford Wags rescue

Story
Meet Chunk -- the Ultimate Lovebug in a Furry Package. Born around April 1, 2025, Chunk entered the world as a fluffy little puffball, earning his name with his irresistible roundness and charm. Today, he&#39s blossomed into a cuddly, goofy, affectionate bundle of joy with a heart as big as his paws. Chunk is a gentle soul who lives for tummy rubs and thrives on love. He adores everyone and everything: people, cats, grasshoppers, squeaky toys, you name it. His sweet, expressive eyes will melt your heart, and when he gets you all to himself, he&#39ll melt right into your arms. His favorite things include treats, toys, playtime, cuddle time, and -- most of all -- affection. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and children. While he can get a little rowdy when excited, especially around smaller kids, and will just need gentle guidance to learn calm manners. Chunk is looking for a forever home that can offer patience for some more training (he&#39s not housebroken yet), walks and outdoor playtime, a secure yard to romp, and indoor bed for snuggles. In return, Chunk will shower his family with endless love, loyalty, and laughter. He truly is the perfect dog and whoever welcomes him home will be blessed by his giant heart. Chunk is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and boosters, microchipped, and currently on monthly NexGard and Heartgard. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Chunk is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.October 26, 2025, 6:21 pm

Story
Meet Theo -- Your Gentle, Playful Companion! Born around April 1, 2025, Theo is a distinguished young pup with wise eyes and a heart full of sweetness. He adores playing with his littermates and foster family -- adults, kids, and even cats! His floppy ears often flip inside out, and he&#39s happiest lounging on the couch with his people. Theo is a toy enthusiast, especially stuffed ones (though he&#39s known to un-stuff them with gusto!). He&#39s all about treats, cuddles, and soaking up attention. While he can get a little rowdy when excited, he just needs gentle guidance around smaller children. Theo is looking for a loving home with time to help him grow -- crate training, leash walking, and housebreaking are still on his to-do list. He&#39d thrive with an active family, a yard to play in, and a cozy indoor bed to call his own. With his giant heart and playful spirit, Theo will fill your life with joy, loyalty, and endless affection. Theo is neutered, UTD on shots and boosters, microchipped, and currently on monthly NexGard and Heartgard. Theo is part of the Guest Dog Program through DFW Rescue Me. His foster family will bring him to a home visit for any potential forever families for a meet and greet. Story
Meet Shiloh -- A Gentle Spirit with a Playful Heart. Born around April 1, 2025, Shiloh is a calm, sweet-natured pup with a quiet charm that&#39s impossible to resist. She has a long body, big paws, and adorably short legs but don&#39t let those fool you. She was the first of her litter to master jumping their 40&#34 play yard fence, proving that determination beats leg length every time! Shiloh loves attention and tries her best to jump up for cuddles. Her floppy bloodhound-like ears and stunning brindle coat give her a unique beauty, and her soulful eyes speak volumes, always asking for love. She&#39s playful and affectionate, enjoying toys, tug-of-war with her littermates, and snuggle time with humans. She&#39s wonderful with kids, other dogs, and cats, and she knows exactly when it&#39s bedtime, just shake the treat jar and she&#39s ready to settle in. Shiloh currently lives in an outdoor kennel with her littermates due to space limitations in her foster home. She&#39s still learning to feel safe and relaxed indoors but settles down with one-on-one cuddle time. Shiloh is looking for a forever home that will have time to crate train her because she is not housebroken, time to teach her how to walk on a leash, time to take her on walks, a yard to play in, and a warm, safe bed to sleep in indoors every night. She would love an active family because she loves running around and playing. She has lots of puppy energy left to burn! The right forever family will be blessed by her giant heart, and she will repay them with all the love and affection in the world! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip.
