Story
Meet Willow!Hi there! My name is Willow, and I'm a sweet and playful four-year-old dog. I absolutely love being around kids, and I'm known for being great with them. Although I can be a bit skittish around men when we first meet, I quickly warm up and become playful once I feel comfortable.I have excellent house manners, which means I know how to behave well inside. I never beg for food, and you won't hear me barking unnecessarily. At night, I love to sleep at the foot of my fosters's bed, keeping them company and providing them with warmth and comfort.Sometimes, when my foster leaves, I may scratch at the door. However, with a bit of training and adjustment, this behavior will improve over time. It could be a good idea to consider using a crate or kennel to help me feel secure and comfortable when I'm alone.Overall, I'm a really nice dog, and I would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving and loyal furry friend. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Symon is a 1.5 year old, 45 lb Smooth Collie mix. Breed mix is just our best guess, but he sure looks a lot like photos of other Smooth Collies. He is so handsome with his tri-color markings, long snout, and legs that won't quit! Symon is a lot more than a pretty face though. He is smart and very willing to learn new things. Symon is very athletic, and will make a great walking, running, or hiking partner. He might even excel at agility training. He gets along with most other dogs, as long as introduced properly. We think he will be fine with kids over the age of 6. The first step to meeting handsome Symon is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Even senior dogs know the value of a good treat and BettyAnn knows her good behavior deserves a tasty reward. Around ten years old, this lovely lady hasn't always enjoyed the finer things in life, so she is content to just take it easy and touch grass - literally. BettyAnn enjoys short, slow, walks due to her tender hip. Just spending time in the yard, seeing the sky and clouds brings her joy. She can certainly live in a home with other dogs, but she's not interested in rambunctious play. She's a mature lady and just wants to enjoy each day. She prefers a soft bed to spending time in her crate but is accepting of either. She's not dependent on others for constant attention and interaction, but after spending time alone, BettyAnn lights up when she sees her people. She may not have been blessed with a loving family in her early life, but she's definitely ready for one now, and maybe a soft patch of grass to call her own. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Story
You'd be the envy of all your neighbors when you walked Biscuit. He's a seven month old 59 pound Border Collie mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 7/20. He was brought in by one of our officers. He came in with two female siblings I named Bonnie and Breeze. They are equally gorgeous and very sweet also. He's the whole package! He's lively, friendly and affectionate. He didn't appear to know the sit command but did back up wanting to please. He's well-behaved and doesn't jump on you. He's curious and alert. He investigated the room in which I did his eval and had to check out everybody that walked by the window. At one point he laid down, looked up at me and barked enticing me to play with him. He followed me around staying very close. When I sat down he came to me seeking affection. He also gives kisses. He did not have a strong pull on the leash, but he did get tangled. He sniffed other dogs without showing any aggression. He would need a yard to romp in but wants and needs to be an inside dog where he can spend quality time with his new family.
