Story
We adopted Franklin when he was a puppy. He has anxiety with storms, loud noises. He gets along with other dogs and is a herder by nature. We would love for him to be adopted by someone than can give him more attention than we can. His coat requires lots of maintenance and he has lots of energy and loves being outdoors. We recently had a baby and also have a toddler so we just don’t have the time commitment he needs. He is a very loving and loyal pal.

Story
Meet Paloma, a stunning and intelligent adult Cattle Dog/Collie mix with the athleticism and independence to match her beauty! This girl is the definition of a strong, confident lady, and she’s always ready for an adventure—whether it’s a game of fetch with her larger, playmate pals or a good ol’ squirrel-chasing session in the yard.Paloma’s a dream when it comes to house and crate training. She’s well-mannered in the home, although she’ll need to learn the specific rules of her forever family. She’s got no problem sharing a blankie and snuggling up in bed—she’s a quiet, respectful bed buddy who loves being close to her humans, but never takes over the space (she's too polite for that!).Car rides? Absolutely! And when she’s not on the road, you’ll often find Paloma perched at the highest point of the yard, keeping an eye out for any squirrels or cats that might be testing her boundary patrol skills. No one gets past her watchful gaze!Paloma’s ideal home would be with someone who can make her feel special—she’s a one-and-only type of gal, and she thrives on that close bond. She’s fine with a crate when necessary, but she prefers the company of her people. Expect her to be a devoted, loyal companion who will love you with all her heart. If you're looking for a smart, strong, and playful girl with a heart full of love to give, Paloma might just be the perfect match! She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you are interested in learning more about Paloma, please text Liz at 214-616-6128. If you are interested in meeting & potentially adopting her, please find out application here Meet Mojo, the boxer with a heart full of joy and a tail that never stops wagging! This happy, wiggly boy is always ready for fun and would love to have a furry sibling to romp around with. Mojo is social and playful with other dogs but may be a little too enthusiastic for kitties or smaller pups. He came to us with a broken rear leg that has since been repaired, though he was left with his own unique stride. Don’t worry—it doesn't slow him down at all! While Mojo may be a bit shy initially, he quickly warms up to people and will soon be your best friend. He’s neutered, heartworm-negative, microchipped, crate trained, and is just waiting for the right family to love him as much as he will love them!If you're looking for a sweet, playful companion who’ll bring endless smiles, Mojo might be your perfect match! https://www.shelter2rescue.org/adoptable-pets If you are interested in fostering a pet , please visit our website www.shelter2rescue.org to fill out an application

Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Meet Auggie — Your Future Furry Sidekick! Auggie is a sweet, young Aussie-Collie mix, approximately 2½–3 years old, who is ready to leave his shelter days behind and find the forever family who will love him, spoil him, and show him just how wonderful life can be! Auggie spent the past 2–3 weeks in a rural shelter, and DASH is bringing him into a much more comfortable environment where he can decompress, relax, and discover all the good things about being part of a home. We’re talking air conditioning, comfy sofas, cozy beds, dog beds, gentle attention, and lots of loving! And one thing we already know about Auggie: this boy is a WATER BUG! He absolutely loves lying in and splashing around in the outdoor baby pool. We have a feeling he’d be just as happy running through sprinklers, playing in a swimming pool, or accompanying his people on adventures to a lake or creek. Based on his size, build, and love of water, we’re pretty sure he’s going to be a very enthusiastic outdoor-water companion! Auggie is a smart boy who is already learning what’s expected of him. He has learned to walk nicely on a leash, sit, and follow simple commands. He is also housebroken and crate trained, which gives his new family a wonderful head start. Like many herding dogs, Auggie can be a little shy when meeting new people, particularly men. But once he realizes someone is kind and trustworthy, he warms up quickly. He responds beautifully to gentle attention and absolutely loves being scratched behind his ears and along his back. ❤️ The more love Auggie receives, the more his confidence grows. We’re looking for a calm, moderately active home with no children under 12 where Auggie can continue building his confidence at his own pace. He loves other dogs, and a confident, friendly female dog could be a wonderful companion for him — someone who can help show him that his new home is a safe and happy place. Auggie could also be the perfect best buddy, wingman, copilot, or four-legged sidekick for someone looking for a loyal companion to share life’s adventures with. He’s affectionate, gentle, smart, and still discovering what indoor life and being close to people are all about. He may be a little shy at first, but underneath that initial hesitation is a sweet boy who is ready to blossom. Give Auggie a little patience, a lot of love, and a safe place to call home, and we have a feeling he’ll give you ten times the love right back. Auggie is ready for his forever family. Could that be you? If you think you’re a match for Auggie and want to set up an adoption meeting, please complete our application on the website below and then: TEXT SARA:214-549-9905 So I can check your application and get back to you! www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city.
