Story
Zelda is a fun-loving and sweet dog who enjoys spending time with our two other dogs. While she may not always be the first one to greet you at the door, she absolutely loves pets, cuddles, and being close to her people. She also enjoys her quiet moments and can often be found happily napping on the couch. Zelda’s favorite thing in the world is going on walks. She is at her happiest when she is outdoors, running around, exploring, and enjoying fresh air. Treats are also high on her list of favorite things! Recently, my wife and I got married and blended our family with her calico cat. Zelda is a well-trained dog and can calmly be in the same room with the cat, but she has had a difficult time fully adapting. At times, she becomes a little too curious and friendly toward the cat, so we have had to constantly supervise interactions between them.because we want the best possible environment for both Zelda and our cat, we have made the very difficult decision to look for a loving new home❤

Story
Meet Theo -- Your Gentle, Playful Companion! Born around April 1, 2025, Theo is a distinguished young pup with wise eyes and a heart full of sweetness. He adores playing with his littermates and foster family -- adults, kids, and even cats! His floppy ears often flip inside out, and he's happiest lounging on the couch with his people. Theo is a toy enthusiast, especially stuffed ones (though he's known to un-stuff them with gusto!). He's all about treats, cuddles, and soaking up attention. While he can get a little rowdy when excited, he just needs gentle guidance around smaller children. Theo is looking for a loving home with time to help him grow -- crate training, leash walking, and housebreaking are still on his to-do list. He'd thrive with an active family, a yard to play in, and a cozy indoor bed to call his own. With his giant heart and playful spirit, Theo will fill your life with joy, loyalty, and endless affection. Theo is neutered, UTD on shots and boosters, microchipped, and currently on monthly NexGard and Heartgard. Theo is part of the Guest Dog Program through DFW Rescue Me. His foster family will bring him to a home visit for any potential forever families for a meet and greet. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Theo is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.June 20, 2026, 2:37 am

Story
Meet Shiloh -- A Gentle Spirit with a Playful Heart. Born around April 1, 2025, Shiloh is a calm, sweet-natured pup with a quiet charm that's impossible to resist. She has a long body, big paws, and adorably short legs but don't let those fool you. She was the first of her litter to master jumping their 40" play yard fence, proving that determination beats leg length every time! Shiloh loves attention and tries her best to jump up for cuddles. Her floppy bloodhound-like ears and stunning brindle coat give her a unique beauty, and her soulful eyes speak volumes, always asking for love. She's playful and affectionate, enjoying toys, tug-of-war with her littermates, and snuggle time with humans. She's wonderful with kids, other dogs, and cats, and she knows exactly when it's bedtime, just shake the treat jar and she's ready to settle in. Shiloh currently lives in an outdoor kennel with her littermates due to space limitations in her foster home. She's still learning to feel safe and relaxed indoors but settles down with one-on-one cuddle time. Shiloh is looking for a forever home that will have time to crate train her because she is not housebroken, time to teach her how to walk on a leash, time to take her on walks, a yard to play in, and a warm, safe bed to sleep in indoors every night. She would love an active family because she loves running around and playing. She has lots of puppy energy left to burn! The right forever family will be blessed by her giant heart, and she will repay them with all the love and affection in the world! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Story
This handsome boy needs a very special person in his life, as he struggles to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately, but it is rare. He did not like his foster mom at all initially, but now he is loving and adoring of her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone; otherwise, he makes it clear that he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with many other dogs and is exceptionally playful with the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested, but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners, which is excellent because he hates being in a crate. He needs a home with minimal people coming and going, and/or a place where he can be away from those who do not live with him, and where there are no young children. His perfect home would be with his human, and how many other dogs his human would like to have live with them.Prince is fully vetted, current with vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Story
Hi, I’m Honey Bun! I’m a 3-year-old Collie mix weighing about 50 pounds. I’m a sweet, affectionate guy who loves attention and enjoys spending time with my people. I get along well with other dogs and kids, walk nicely beside you on a leash, and already know commands like sit and lay down. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, my gentle and curious personality shines through. I’m still working on a few manners, but I’m eager to learn and ready to find a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.

These pups are in Fort Worth, Texas too!

Story
Born 4/28/26This handsome little guy with classic black and white markings is incredibly special. Charlie is an absolute ball of cuddles and is definitely going to be the kind of dog that sticks right by his owner's side. He is incredibly gentle, but he also has a fun, playful spirit and absolutely loves his toys more than anything! He comes from a truly fantastic line: The Sire (Father): A gorgeous, AKC-registered male with a certified multi-generation pedigree. The Paternal Grandfather: A proven working dog who actively herds and handles the horses for the Fort Worth Police Department. The Dam (Mother): My absolute best friend, the smartest dog I've ever owned, and an incredible athlete who loves playing frisbee. Between his high intelligence and his sweet, devoted nature, he is going to make an unforgettable companion for a very lucky family!

This is Sweetie, and its a fitting name! We love her so much and are sad we are forced to rehome. She is a good medium energy dog, who loves people. The perfect companion dog, as she wants to be by your side, but not overly in your face. She is super smart, and wants to please. She has always lived with other dogs and chicken, and has had no issues. She is not super comfortable with cats yet, but she could probably be trained to be with them with some patience. She needs a secure fence, as though not normally a escape artist, she may try to find her family. She'd be a great family pet! We just want a good home. Thanks!

Story
Fred was found roaming on the street for a month very hard to catch. We trapped him within an hour and within two days he was eating out of my hand. He’s very sweet energetic loves kids and wants to just be a couch potato. He is fully vetted. He has completed heartworm treatment. Due to inactivity, he to be on a strict diet for a bit. *** He has been transferred to PAWS in white settlement***
