Story
Please hurry to save this sweet girl! She is going to be euthanized. She is a 7 year/6-month-old collie/pit mix who weighs 56 lbs and is current on her vaccinations. She is not housebroken or crate trained. Her elderly owner did not take care of her properly and was placed permanently in a nursing home a month ago. The owner does not have any family or friends who is able to take Annabelle. Annabelle is currently living in her owner's apartment alone and only being fed and watered by a neighbor. She hasn't been outdoors in weeks. The neighbor has clearly stated he will NOT continue to take of her and will be taking her to get euthanized on Saturday, June 28th when the apartment must be completed vacated. Annabelle would not be a suitable pet around children or other pets. She needs someone who will be patient with her and understands fully the type of life she has experienced.

Story
Rad was abandon as a puppy about 3 months old. He was under nourished and full of fleas. We picked him up and got him medical care by a licensed veterinarian. Rad does best with women. We think he might of been handled harshly by a man. Rad is about 11 months. He is house trained. He lets me know when he wants to go out by going to the door or coming up to me until I figure out what he wants. Rad is very loving. He really enjoys playing with toys, being petted, being brushed and laying close to you. He does have that puppy behavior but is learning. He knows what kind of behavior will earn him a treat. He gets along with my friends dogs. Rad would do well with a big yard, another dog to play with and older children. We think Rad would be an excellent emotional support dog. Prayerfully consider adopting this beautiful dog. Sincerely, Hopeful

Story
Theo is 1 of 9 dumped puppies found on May 1, 2025 in Kerens, Texas. We believe the puppies&#39 breed is a border collie mix. He is around 13 weeks old, he has had his 12 weeks shots, he is neutered and microchipped, and he is ready for his forever home. Theo is the biggest boy of the 4 boys in the litter! He is outgoing, but he is also a cuddle bug. He is one of the most affectionate of all the male puppies, which is saying something because they&#39re all very affectionate. He is playful and loves everyone. He does well with cats and is friendly with other dogs. His foster home has children (ages 13, 9, and 6) and he does well with all of them. Theo was kind of bullied by a few of them when we first brought them home, and we kept him inside for 2 nights because he seemed scared to be with the other puppies. That was weeks ago, and he&#39s gotten over that fear, but he is still very affectionate, and he has the sweetest eyes. He loves to be held and snuggled, he loves to run and play chase, and he loves toys and bones. He is very active and will do best in a home with a yard large enough for him to run and with a family that will take him on walks. He is well socialized with his littermates, and he will do well being socialized with other friendly dogs from a young age. He plays with our cats, and will do well with cats as he gets older if he is around them often enough to not be overly excited when he sees one. Theo has a less dominant disposition than some of the other puppies, and he is not aggressive. The 8 puppies that we found (our neighbors found #9 and kept her) are fed together, and none of them are food aggressive. There was a little food aggression when we first brought them home, but we&#39ve had them for over a month now, and they realize that there is enough food for everyone, so the aggression that was displayed by a couple of them has stopped completely. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Theois participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.June 22, 2025, 12:59 pm

Story
We didn&#39t name the puppies until we&#39d had them for a couple weeks as a way to keep track of them. Chunk got his name because he would eat dinner, then he would walk over to a patch of grass and flop over onto his side like he was too full to go on. It&#39s come to be a very fitting name. He&#39s a chubby boy! Chunk is very outgoing. He is probably the most affectionate of all the puppies, which is saying something because they&#39re all very affectionate. Chunk&#39s kryptonite is a good belly rub! He will run up to you, and as soon as your hand reaches down to pet him, he&#39s on his back, little legs kicking in the air, chubby belly waiting for rubs! He is playful and loves everyone. He does well with cats and is friendly with other dogs. His foster home has children (ages 13, 9, and 6) and he does well with all of them. Chunk loves to be held and snuggled, he loves to run and play chase, and he loves toys and bones.
