Story
We adopted Franklin when he was a puppy. He has anxiety with storms, loud noises. He gets along with other dogs and is a herder by nature. We would love for him to be adopted by someone than can give him more attention than we can. His coat requires lots of maintenance and he has lots of energy and loves being outdoors. We recently had a baby and also have a toddler so we just don’t have the time commitment he needs. He is a very loving and loyal pal.

Story
Meet Theo -- Your Gentle, Playful Companion! Born around April 1, 2025, Theo is a distinguished young pup with wise eyes and a heart full of sweetness. He adores playing with his littermates and foster family -- adults, kids, and even cats! His floppy ears often flip inside out, and he's happiest lounging on the couch with his people. Theo is a toy enthusiast, especially stuffed ones (though he's known to un-stuff them with gusto!). He's all about treats, cuddles, and soaking up attention. While he can get a little rowdy when excited, he just needs gentle guidance around smaller children. Theo is looking for a loving home with time to help him grow -- crate training, leash walking, and housebreaking are still on his to-do list. He'd thrive with an active family, a yard to play in, and a cozy indoor bed to call his own. With his giant heart and playful spirit, Theo will fill your life with joy, loyalty, and endless affection. Theo is neutered, UTD on shots and boosters, microchipped, and currently on monthly NexGard and Heartgard. Theo is part of the Guest Dog Program through DFW Rescue Me. His foster family will bring him to a home visit for any potential forever families for a meet and greet. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Theo is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.July 27, 2026, 1:46 am

Story
Meet Shiloh -- A Gentle Spirit with a Playful Heart. Born around April 1, 2025, Shiloh is a calm, sweet-natured pup with a quiet charm that's impossible to resist. She has a long body, big paws, and adorably short legs but don't let those fool you. She was the first of her litter to master jumping their 40" play yard fence, proving that determination beats leg length every time! Shiloh loves attention and tries her best to jump up for cuddles. Her floppy bloodhound-like ears and stunning brindle coat give her a unique beauty, and her soulful eyes speak volumes, always asking for love. She's playful and affectionate, enjoying toys, tug-of-war with her littermates, and snuggle time with humans. She's wonderful with kids, other dogs, and cats, and she knows exactly when it's bedtime, just shake the treat jar and she's ready to settle in. Shiloh currently lives in an outdoor kennel with her littermates due to space limitations in her foster home. She's still learning to feel safe and relaxed indoors but settles down with one-on-one cuddle time. Shiloh is looking for a forever home that will have time to crate train her because she is not housebroken, time to teach her how to walk on a leash, time to take her on walks, a yard to play in, and a warm, safe bed to sleep in indoors every night. She would love an active family because she loves running around and playing. She has lots of puppy energy left to burn! The right forever family will be blessed by her giant heart, and she will repay them with all the love and affection in the world! Story
Hi, I’m Honey Bun! I’m a 3-year-old Collie mix weighing about 50 pounds. I’m a sweet, affectionate guy who loves attention and enjoys spending time with my people. I get along well with other dogs and kids, walk nicely beside you on a leash, and already know commands like sit and lay down. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, my gentle and curious personality shines through. I’m still working on a few manners, but I’m eager to learn and ready to find a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.

Story
Meet Bravo, a 35-pound sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. While he may be a little timid at first, he warms up quickly and becomes an affectionate, loyal companion. Bravo gets along well with other dogs and shows no signs of food aggression. He’s still working on building his confidence, doorways and new environments can be a little scary but he’s improving every day and walking better on a leash with each outing. Bravo is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home would be best. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll thrive in a calm, caring home where he can continue to blossom.

Story
This handsome boy needs a very special person in his life, as he struggles to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately, but it is rare. He did not like his foster mom at all initially, but now he is loving and adoring of her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone; otherwise, he makes it clear that he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with many other dogs and is exceptionally playful with the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested, but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners, which is excellent because he hates being in a crate. He needs a home with minimal people coming and going, and/or a place where he can be away from those who do not live with him, and where there are no young children. His perfect home would be with his human, and how many other dogs his human would like to have live with them.Prince is fully vetted, current with vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Story
Meet Luna (aka Lu!) Luna is an approximately 3-year-old, roughly 47-pound bundle of personality, happiness, and love who's ready to find her forever family! If you're looking for a smart, active dog who can keep up with your adventures but also happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Luna might be your perfect match. Why You'll Love Luna: Luna is the total package. She is playful, active, incredibly intelligent, and guaranteed to make you laugh with her goofy personality. She loves being around her people and never misses an opportunity to sneak in a kiss or ask for extra pets. While Luna loves to stay busy and be active, she also has a more chill, cuddly side. Her foster mom occasionally works from home and says Luna is the perfect office buddy, happily relaxing nearby while she works. She's fully house trained and crate trained, and she sees her crate is her safe place. Just tell her "bed," and she'll happily run right in! Her foster family states she may whine for a minute or two when you leave, but she settles quickly and is happy to relax until you're home. Luna is also dog friendly and absolutely loves playing with the other dog in her foster home (she has only lived with medium/large dogs that we know of). Because she enjoys canine companionship so much, she'd love a playful dog sibling in her forever home. Luna already knows her basic commands and is eager to learn more. She catches on quickly and truly enjoys training. Puzzle toys, games, new tricks, and anything that challenges her mind are right up her alley. Her Perfect Home: Luna is an athletic, high-energy girl who needs a family committed to giving her plenty of exercise and mental enrichment. She'll do best in a home with: -A fenced yard to run and play (no apartments, please) -An active owner who enjoys walks, hikes, etc. -A playful canine companion (preferred, but not required) -Older kids or dog savvy kids preferred, as she does occasionally jump when excited to see you -Someone excited to continue her training and help her reach her full potential Luna is loyal, loving, and full of life. She's looking for a family that will embrace her playful spirit, continue helping her learn, and give her all the love she deserves. If you're ready for an adventurous and loyal best friend who will keep you smiling every day, Luna is waiting to meet you! Apply to adopt at acesplacerescue.org/adoptionprocess
