ARRIVING IN WISCONSIN on Wednesday November 4th- Introducing Elmo, a handsome 1 year old mixed breed male dog who weighs about 64 pounds. We believe he is fully grown, and will not get much larger. Elmo found himself in a tough situation when he was picked up by animal control in rural Texas and brought to the shelter. He waited for his family to come claim him, but they never came. Elmo knows it wasn't his fault they abaonded him, so he decided to show the shelter staff just how good of a boy he is, so they would make sure to send him to Wisconsin to find the family he deserves! Elmo walks well on a leash, knows paw/shake, and is described as so sweet and gentle by the shelter staff. Health & Vetting: Elmo is neutered, tested heartworm negative, is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. He will come with medical records and a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian confirming good health prior to transport. He will be current on Flea and Heartworm prevention upon adoption. Adoption Details: He will arrive in Muskego, WI on Wednesday, November 4th. He will be available to meet (and go home if it is a good fit) to the first family who has placed a deposit to hold him exclusively for them prior to arrival. Dogs that do not receive a deposit prior to transport will be available to meet at our upcoming adoption events or by appointment with his foster family, no deposit required. Adoption Fee: $500 Deposit: $250 (applied toward adoption fee) The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable, so long as you show up for your scheduled meeting. We kindly ask that you are serious about adopting before placing a deposit, as we only accept one per dog. Story
Benny is a good dog, loves our kids, and is friendly with people. We’ve had him since he was a puppy, so he is well trained. He needs lots of exercise, otherwise he starts chewing things up, and since we live in a city, and are very busy, we can’t sufficiently burn his energy. So we want him to have a home with someone who has the time for the daily walks, the exercise times, the mental stimulation and more. If he gets that, he’s the perfect dog, but we simply can’t burn enough of his energy to handle the excess. He does have lots of dog friends, and does consistent play dates, but he shouldn’t be put in a dog park, as it overstimulates him and he can become reactive towards large male dogs. He loves licking everyone, and is especially amazing with kids. If you have the time and energy, he’ll be the perfect dog for you! He might not be the best choice if you have cats. He likes to chase them.

This 11-month-old Mini American Shepherd mix is looking for a loving forever home after we made the difficult decision that a service dog career was not the right fit for her. Bubbles is simply too social—she wants to say hello to everyone she meets! She's an energetic, affectionate girl who would absolutely thrive in an active home and would likely excel at dog sports like agility or Fast CAT. She'll stay under 35 pounds, loves to wrestle with playful dog friends, and would do best with children over 5 who can keep up with her fun-loving personality.Bubbles is spayed, up to date on vaccines and deworming, and her adoption fee is discounted to $350. She has a sensitive tummy that is doing well on Fromm Sensitive Skin & Stomach Hydrolyzed Protein food and is continuing to make great progress with potty training. Meet Lilu (Lee-Lou), a new arrival from Alabama. Lilu is about 11months old & seems to be a little smaller than her current 60 pounds suggest. She’s listed as a Border Collie/Great Dane mix, but a DNA test would probably produce many unexpected surprises!Lilu is a little shy at first but once she’s familiar with you, she’s a total sweetheart. She’s learning to be a cuddler & even holds paws with you! Her house manners are pretty good, being crate trained & doing pretty well with potty training.
