Story
Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!  Updated: 11/28/2023 Dog Name: Willow Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Smooth Collie/ Mix Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 40 lbs. Description: Sweet Willow was abandoned in the woods of a small Texas town, she was skin and bones and had very obviously been owned before. She greeted her finders with a wagging tail and lots of kisses! Willow is very intelligent and listens very well. She is great with other dogs, big & small. She is also great with kids! She is a petite medium size, the kind of dog you can take for adventures or just lounge at home! Willow deserves a warm and loving home! Adoption Fee: $400.00 We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 5, 2023, 11:42 am

Story
Look at that adorable face!! ❤️ 11 month old, 25 lb Amelia is looking for her forever home. She’s suspected to be a collie mix, sweet 💕 and energetic. She’s crate and leash trained, working on mastering house training, spayed, up to date on her age appropriate shots. She LOVES ❤️ other dogs 🐕 SO much that she would really enjoy any opportunities she can get going to doggie parks, having doggie play dates, or even having a doggie sibling. She hasn’t been around any cats 🐈 that we know of …but since she’s such a lover, she may just find the same enjoyment playing with them. 🤔She would love to be in a home where she can play and then snuggle 🤗 with her humans. At night she will happily rest in her crate so she can get up and do her day all over again tomorrow! 🥰She’s currently being fostered in Twin lakes, WI. Her adoption fee is $500. If interested in being considered to adopt Amelia, please fill out an adoption application under the link directly below.https://www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550

Story
Simon came to me as a rescue. We were supposed to pet sitting for two weeks, but he stayed for five years. Simon is a wonderful, well trained dog who should go to a family that can shower him with love and attention. He knows the commands for sit and "spot". He walks well on a leash and will stay by you without one. He currently lives with four people, three cats and a turtle. We are sad to have to say goodbye. During the covid shut down Simon got used to all of us being home everyday. Now my children are grown and leaving home, and I work two jobs. Simon needs someone who can be home with him and give him the love and attention he deserves. I have some wonderful video of Simon if you would like to see more pictures of him being his fabulous self.

Story
Meet Tiger Lily!  This four year old beauty is our prickly little pear...  tough and thorny to the touch, but soft and sweet on the inside.  Her tough past shaped her, but it won't define her future.  This little girl is a survivor!   In life, Tiger Lily approaches everything with caution.  She can be snappy when new people or dogs approach her and can become overwhelmed in new environments.  With a little patience, however, you'll easily win her over.  Confidence may be what this little girl lacks, but Leadership is what she craves.      In the home, Lily is a star!   Housebroken, crate trained, great on leash and knows all of her basic commands.  Agile and playful she loves walks around the neighborhood and exploring.  At night, however, she'll be your favorite weighted blanket as she curls up on your lap.   When in training, Lily rocked her cat test and would do well in a home with dog savvy cats.  It takes time, however, for her to warm up to any new dog.  Her foster sister is a sweet, laid back pit mix that Lily loves to curl up next to.  Dogs that aren't bossy, pushy, or scary are dogs that Lily would (eventually) do well with.   If you have an adult only home and aren't scared of a little challenge, Lily may be the pup for you.  We promise that she's worth the wait!  Contact us today for your private meet and greet.  You won't regret it....    Fill out an adoption application to schedule your own private meet and greet with this furry friend.
