Story
Honey- Hi, my name is “Honey Bun”! I was a stray living in a baseball complex in Pontotoc, Ms. I am approx. 8-10 months old, 39 lb, female, spayed, I kennel wonderfully, extremely sweet, not a mean bone in my body. The ball field workers said I had been there for a while. They put a collar on me and tried to feed me when they were there (a couple times a week maybe). It was way tooo hot and lonely there for a sweet pup like me. Friday night a camper pulled into my ball park parking lot and I made friends instantly! The people watched how I interacted with kids, dogs, and other adults all weekend. They said I was the sweetest pup! I loved playing with all the kids at the park!!! My camper friends had 2 border collies and 2 kids to play with me, I was in heaven. I stuck to them like glue and they ended up giving me a bath and traveling home with me to their house! I am looking for my FOREVER home! I am good with other dogs, kids of any age, and adults. All I need is someone to love me and teach me about the world! Once adopted Honey Bun will travel via private transport (transport cost is $150.00) to a location closest to you. Story
If you look up the name Allie it means harmony. Whoever named this gorgeous & sweet girl Allie knew exactly what they were talking about! Allie weighs around 25 pounds and looks like a collie mix. We think Allie is about 2 years old. She’s housebroken and leash trained. Her new home should have a fenced yard or be able to take her for walks as it is one of her favorite things to do! She also loves to let loose and run around like a young pup… maybe because she spent her youth trying to merely survive on the streets of Texas. Just because the name Allie means harmony doesn’t mean it comes easy… you’ve gotta give to receive! When it comes to kids and other dogs, Allie prefers a calmer household. She loves other dogs, and as long as they’re introduced properly, would be content with a roommate or two, especially ones that are her size or smaller. We aren’t sure if Allie has ever met a cat. Allie can be shy at first, but once she opens up her sweet and bubbly personality comes out! She loves attention and cuddles, and just wants to be loved by someone who gives her just that. After a nice, long walk or a busy day running around playing in the yard, Allie would love to curl up in a comfy spot next to her person. She would also sleep well in a kennel. Allie is a great listener and thrives off of praise. Her manners are impeccable and she is so smart that she uses the doggy door on her own at her foster’s house. So what do you say… how’d you like a little harmony in your home? Allie is being fostered in Twin Lakes, WI. She is spayed, microchipped and UTD on her shots. Her adoption fee is $450. Story
My name is Kartopu and I am looking for my forever home. I am a large, active boy, weighing in at about 60 pounds (though I have lost some weight playing with all the fun dogs here)! I am house trained and am trusted by myself in the house; I don't enjoy small places like the crate and would prefer to have my space when you aren't here. I'm learning about walking on leash (I can be fiesty getting the leash at first but am working on that with my foster parents; I don't mind it once it's on and love the adventures the leash takes me on!). I am initially more wary of men than women when I first meet them, but have come a long way in meeting and trusting new friends and have had lots more of these experiences in my foster home. My foster mom is working on redirecting me away from being mouthy when I get excited (so I would do best with older children and adults in an active household). Otherwise, I'm told I have the softest coat and give the best "good morning" kisses, and I absolutely love getting my head and ears scratched. I'm a great cuddler and very food motivated so I'm willing to learn more. I am doing great with the resident dogs here and love to chase and wrestle with them. NO CATS for me!Adoption fee: $425All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
Yahoo is an Australian Cattle Dog who weighs about 43 lbs and is considered a medium energy dog. He is a little timid at first, but when given the opportunity to approach on his own terms he is affectionate, snuggly and sweet! Yahoo rides great in the car and is a great companion on walks and hikes as he generally walks at your pace without pulling. He knows the sit, shake and down commands and picked up waiting at the door before going out in one try. He has does his business outside on walks and has not had any accidents in the house. He kenneled up for overnight without any resistance. If he trusts you he will roll on his back to get his chest/belly rubbed or snuggle up on the couch.Yahoo has many traits typical to Cattle dogs/Blue Heelers in that he will attempt to "herd" small children and has a prey drive for little critters. For these reasons he should not go to a home with cats, small children, mid-sized children prone to outbursts of high activity or those looking to start a family. He is very loyal to his people and can therefore be choosy with the dogs he meets, but with slow, proper introductions has made doggy friends. He also has one trait that is not typical to Cattle dogs - HE IS A CALM, DAPPER GENTLEMAN and a bit of a loaf... he would rather get pet than chase a ball, but will play with toys on occasion. But have no fear, he will be right there with you no matter how far you want to walk/hike/run.Do yourself a favor and meet this sweet boy! Please check back for updates as my foster family gets to know me. You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!
