Story
Thank you for your inquiry. Bambi has an adopter but we have to wait for them to go pick her up after the stay-at-home is lifted. Once she is picked up we will remove her profile. Please do not write to us for an application. Sorry for any inconvenience. Bambi is extremely shy. She is approximately 1 year old and weighs just 7 lbs. Once she warms up she is very affectionate. Bambi wouldn't do well in a busy home with loud fast children because she would be scared of them. She gets along well with cats, though, and doesn't chase them. She is good with other dogs of all sizes and plays with them when she isn’t coming to you for love. She loves to cuddle up on your lap or in your bed at night! She is simply a loving little doll. Bambi is very calm and well-behaved. She is good on a leash as well. Bambi needs a quiet home without a lot of noise or strange people coming over all the time for her to feel safe and comfortable. She is very sweet and not aggressive at all, even when scared. She would do best in a home with another dog or where she has contact with her owner throughout the day. because they are home She wouldn’t do well left alone for a full workday without a canine companion. Bambi is a loyal companion once she gets to know you and will show you love and affection. She would do best with somewhere like a patio or a yard so she can go out as she does now to do her business. This little doll is a lovable, cuddly, and trusting little girl when she gets to know you. Given some time and patience, she will warm up to someone willing to give her the loving and secure home that she deserves. Bambi is being fostered in Oakland. Ca. Her adoption fee is $275.00. Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $700   The Ice Cream puppies are a litter of 9 week old Chihuahua x Dachshund mixes who came into our rescue at only two days old with their Mama, Honey Graham. They have grown up in one of our fabulous foster homes and are now all grown up and ready to scoop some love and adventure into their new homes! These pups will stay small when they are fully grown, so if you’re hoping for a kiddie-cone serving of dog, look no further!   The Scoops wake up at 7 AM and have breakfast. They spend the morning playing, napping, playing, napping (and on and on). In the afternoon, they check out the world around them from the safety of their stroller or a sling. Then we work on some sit/no nibbling training. They have dinner around 7 PM and play before heading to bed around 10 PM.  Jamoca (M) is the smartest pup in the litter, as he discovered he gets lots of treats when he learns new things! He is very playful but also mastered the puppy dog eyes from an early age, which makes it impossible to resist his demands for cuddles and kisses. He loves to roll onto his back and fall asleep as I scratch his tummy S’mores (M) is oh so playful and sweet. He may have puppy dog sad eyes, but this dude is as happy as can be. He was the first to figure out the toy basket and loves to amuse himself by tossing his toys around and getting his siblings to join in on the fun. He loves his belly rubs and is one of the first in line for food and snacks!  Ube (M) is the first to greet new people and flop over for attention from them. He is also the most laid back of the litter, and prefers to hang back and assess the situation before joining in on the fun. He “talks” with a mix of his expressions and little puppy yips which is absolutely adorable. He has such a big heart and is adored in our home.  The Ice Cream puppies are only an option for those who have owned a dog of their own in the last five years. Children in the home should be over the age of 5. November 29, 2023, 3:09 am
