The Nursery puppies are a litter of 8 week old Dachshund x Yorkie mixes ready to make the most of their second chapter. These four cuties were born to Mother Goose and were the best little ducklings in the world. Now? They’re ready to fly into your arms and make the most of their life with you! This litter is 3 girls and 1 boy and we expect they will be in the 10-14 pound range when they are fully grown. Come open your new favorite nursery rhyme today!      Briar Rose (F): Briar Rose is a lively and energetic pup who never backs down from a challenge, especially when it comes to playing with her big sister, Little Bo Peep! Though she may lose a wrestling match now and then, her determination and adventurous spirit never falter. Briar Rose loves toys, exploring new places, and getting plenty of affection from her humans. With her boundless energy and love for fun, she’s sure to be the perfect addition to an active family that enjoys both playtime and cuddles. Like her namesake in the nursery rhyme, she’s a princess in the making—full of life and ready to embark on every adventure! Little Bo Peep (F): Little Bo Peep is our outgoing gal! She is the most playful of her litter, always ready for a fun adventure or a good game of chase! Full of energy and enthusiasm, she’s the first to dash to the food bowl and is always eager to wrestle with her siblings. With her goofy personality, she’s sure to bring joy and laughter to her new family. When she’s not playing, you can find her snuggling up to her mom or siblings, enjoying a moment of calm. Little Bo Peep would thrive in a home that can offer her plenty of playtime, exercise, and socialization. She’s sure to bring excitement and fun to any household, much like the nursery rhyme where Little Bo Peep 'lost her sheep'—but never loses her playful spirit! Miss Muffet (F): Though she may be the smallest of the litter, Little Miss Muffet is full of confidence and spunk! Playful and feisty, she holds her own with her bigger siblings and loves to initiate playtime with anyone willing to join in. She enjoys running around, playing with toys, and snuggling up when she’s finally tired. Much like the nursery rhyme where Little Miss Muffet boldly sits on her tuffet, this little pup has no problem taking charge of her own adventures, keeping everyone on their toes with her spirited nature. Little Miss Muffet would thrive in an active home that can keep up with her energetic personality! Tom Thumb (M): Tom Thumb is the quiet and cautious one of the bunch, with a gentle and thoughtful nature. As the only boy, he knows to let his sisters set the agenda before following behind them. While his siblings are busy tumbling around, Tom prefers to sit back, observe, and enjoy some quiet time with his human. He’s a calm and reserved pup who appreciates reassurance and gentle handling as he explores the world at his own pace. Once Tom feels safe and secure, he’ll happily curl up for a snuggle and show his affection. Much like the tiny figure in the nursery rhyme, Tom may be small, but his gentle spirit is larger than life!     The Nursery puppies wake up at 7 AM and eat their breakfast as they prepare for a day of being adorable puppies. Throughout the day, they alternate between playing with their toys, wrestling, cuddling, and enjoying lots of snacks. They love their cuddle time in the evening before they enjoy dinner as they unwind. After one more potty practice in the yard they head into their pen for bed. The Nursery puppies have been well socialized with dogs, cats, and humans of all ages. Interested homes should be prepared to continue the training and socialization started by their foster parents. If you’re ready to start a new tradition, come and select a Nursery puppy today!      The Nursery puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last 5 years. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $700   Ginny is an 11 month old Dachshund who is gin-uinly so excited to meet you! We first met Ginny at the shelter. She was hit by a car and brought in by a good citizen before being rushed into emergency surgery. She had a plate put in and has been recovering well in her foster home. While her healing journey is still ongoing, our shy little gal is ready to find her soft landing place and her forever people. Ginny weighs 13 pounds and is the perfect size for all the love and snuggles you could want. You won’t regret meeting our lovely Ginny!     Ginny is a quiet but uber sweet gal who has so much to offer the world if you give her the chance to bloom! Despite all that she has gone through, she seeks out affection and loves the companionship of her humans. Ginny would be the perfect pup for someone who works from home, as she is ready to provide that calming presence sometimes needed during stressful workdays. As her leg has started to heal, Ginny has started exploring the world more and boy does she love smelling all the wonderful smells nature has to offer! Our girl has a nose for adventure and we can’t wait for her leg to heal so she can start checking items off her bucket list. For now though, she’s happy to help you binge watch your favorite shows and movies. She’ll even assist in eating the popcorn! Ginny is such a sweet and lovely little lady with so much love to give.  Ginny wakes up around 6 AM and goes into the yard for potty. She has breakfast around 8 AM and then settles in for a rest in her pen, as our vet has encouraged her to not be too active as she heals from surgery. She eats again at 1:30 PM and 7 PM. During the day, she gets lots of time to slowly explore the backyard, play with her toys, and take plenty of naps. As she has come out of her shell, we have seen more of her fabulous personality emerge which has been a treat! In the evening, Ginny goes out for one more potty before heading into her crate for the night. Ginny would be an option for a home with a resident dog as long as the dog is respectful as she continues to heal. She loves her walks and sniffs all the leaves she passes. While she can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, if you give her time to settle in she will eventually come seeking cuddles and love. Her ideal home is one where she can continue quietly recovering, so an adult only home is perfect for her. If you’re ready to meet your new best friend, come meet Ginny!     Ginny is only an option for homes with dog owning experience. These babies were born to Mama Toast and are just as precious as can be. We expect the puppies to be in the 8-12 pound range when they reach their adult weight as Mom is pretty petite. These two tiny bundles of joy are fluffier than fresh pastries and sweeter than syrup! Butter and Jam are Toast’s little breakfast babies, and they are ready to bring endless love, laughter, and energy to their future forever homes. Whether you’re looking for a brave adventurer or a snuggly sidekick, this duo has something for everyone!    Butter (M): Butter is as smooth and lovable as his name suggests! This tiny black-and-tan boy is all about his momma and loves to follow after his humans. He’s got a big personality in a tiny package and is already showing signs of being a great little protector, even though he is the smallest pipsqueak in the land. Butter is also the ultimate snuggle bug. He’s happiest when he’s curled up next to someone, whether it’s his mom, his sister, or a lucky human who gets to cuddle him. He learned how to burrow under a blanket and sometimes you will think you lost him only to see a little tail poking out from the couch. What a goofy guy he is! Butter loves his chew toys and is already a great listener for his age. If you’re looking for a puppy who will stick to you like butter on warm toast, Butter is your guy! Jam (F): Jam is a bold explorer ready to show you all the flavors the world has to offer! This light tan little girl is full of personality—she’s playful, adventurous, and absolutely fearless. She’s always the first to try new things, whether it’s climbing over her playpen (seriously, she’s toastally convinced she’s an acrobat) or chasing after her siblings during playtime. She’s the kind of puppy who dives headfirst into life and will keep you entertained with her goofy, energetic antics. Jam isn’t just full of energy—she’s also incredibly sweet and affectionate. She adores people and is always ready for a cuddle session after she’s worn herself out. She’s smart, eager to learn, and will thrive with a family that’s ready for a little pup who’s equal parts sugar and spice. If you’re looking for a puppy who will spread happiness wherever she goes, Jam is the perfect addition to your family!   The Toast puppies wake up around 6 AM and go outside to practice going potty while their pen is cleaned. During the day, they cycle through playtime, eating, naps, and cuddles. They get along with dogs, cats, and humans of all ages so they’re just the perfect little buddies! We expect interested homes to be ready for the training and socialization required for puppies. Ready for a Toast-y adventure? Come order a Toast puppy off the DPS breakfast menu today!    The Toast puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Foxy was originally rescued from the meat markets of Korea by our amazing international rescue partner. One flight across the Pacific Ocean later and this gorgeous 17 pound girl landed in our arms and broke hearts across America! She’s ready to live her best life and take her second chance in style!      Foxy is a sweet and loving girl who adores her humans more than anything. She loves spending her days lounging on a warm lap or snuggling between her humans on the couch. She loves giving kisses and always rolls on her back for belly rubs. She loves stuffed toys and is obsessed with toys that squeak, especially when someone tosses them for her. Foxy, like many Dachshunds, loves to stay alert to the world outside her door and will always keep you up to date on what's happening in the neighborhood. She has a very sassy personality and lets you know exactly how she is feeling, down to when she decides to plop down on the sidewalk for you to carry her home. Foxy is a total couch potato and she would love to find a home where she is treated like a Queen. She has her playful bursts but she would be just as happy cuddled next to you on the couch. Foxy would be perfect for an adult-only home where she can get her cuddles. She would be an amazing WFH companion. Foxy is ready to show you all her amazing love and personality and she is excited to meet you!  Foxy starts her morning at 7 AM with a trip outside to potty followed by another burrow under the covers until she is officially ready to start her day. She rolls out of bed for the second time around 11 AM and eats her brunch before going on her afternoon walk. She loves to spend her afternoons in the backyard, soaking up the warm sun or sniffing around the yard to make sure she hasn’t missed any good smells. Later in the day, she goes out on another romp before she enjoys her dinner. Her evenings are spent with her humans, curled up on the couch until she migrates to the human’s bed, where she spends the rest of her REM. Foxy has lived with an older dog and they get along well, as they are both low energy cuddly dogs. She adores adults and is a total super star when she meets her fans in public. She is okay with older kids who are gentle and respectful. She would benefit from some increased activity to keep her joints relaxed. We know this girl deserves the entire world and we can’t wait for her to find her people!      Foxy is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the past. Kids should be over the age of 15. April 13, 2025, 10:50 pm

Wren was rescued from Central Valley with a few other pups in her brood. This 8 pound cutie made the migration to the Bay Area and we promised to find her the best forever home possible! Wren can’t wait to meet you and make you wonder what your life was like before she came into it!      Wren is an incredibly sweet pup who is looking for a nest to call her own. While she can initially be a bit shy as she settles in, once she is comfortable she is all about cuddling and getting as close to you as possible, almost like a little furnace. Wren is a total velcro dog who loves following you around as you go about your day, but she can also keep herself company when she needs to. Wren strikes a great balance between being playful and laid-back. She really tunes into the energy of her environment—when it’s time to play, she’s all in, happily engaging with her toys, fetch, or a game of tug-of-war. But when things wind down, she’s just as content to relax by your side and lounge around. She’s incredibly adaptable and tends to go with the flow, making her an easy fit in a variety of settings. She loves being close to her people, so she’d be a great match for someone who works from home and is looking for a loyal companion. Wren is a quick learner and such a sweet, gentle puppy. Wren starts her day with a bathroom break around 7:30 AM followed by a walk around the block. When she returns home, she nibbles at her breakfast throughout the morning. She spends her days lounging on the couch or in her bed, until she goes on her afternoon walk around 4:30 PM. She has her dinner at 5 PM and then lounges around until she’s ready for bed at 11 PM.  Wren is currently fostered with another small dog and they get along well. She’s getting more comfortable with larger dogs as well. Wren walks well on a leash and is making progress on her house training. Wren is an incredibly happy and easygoing dog. She loves being around people and will be the perfect addition to any loving home!      Wren is an option for homes of all kinds. Kids should be over the age of 5.April 16, 2025, 9:03 pm

Kids should be over the age of 5.March 29, 2025, 8:08 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $650   Foxy is a 6 year old Dachshund who is ready to sneak her way into your arms and never let you go!
