Story
Current Location: Korea 🇰🇷 ♡ 🐾 Hershey – The Short-Legged Sweetheart 🐾 💗 Personality Loves human touch and attention, very affectionate even with strangers. No biting. Curious and loves other dogs (would do great as a second dog). High energy level (5/5) due to his young age. Shares food and treats with other dogs without fighting (especially loves treats). 📜 Rescue Story Found wandering dangerously along a roadside with a metal chain still attached to him and was rescued to safety. 🐶 Social Skills With Adults: Friendly to everyone regardless of age or gender; loves being petted. With Kids: (Not yet tested – can be assessed if needed) With Dogs: Very social; approaches first to give playful signals. With Cats: No aggression; friendly and shows positive interest. 🏡 Living Habits Potty Training: Likely lived chained outdoors before, but does not show excessive marking. Prefers to go near or on pee pads; may mark over spots where other dogs have marked. Toys: Not particularly toy-focused, but enjoys small plush toys and playing with items like towels or light T-shirt material. Separation/Barking: May whine or bark a little when left in a separate space, but calms down quickly. Walks: Slight leash pulling but walks well overall. Handling: Enjoys being touched even by strangers. Escape Risk: Afraid to step outside the door, but caution is still advised. Goes up stairs well but is careful going down. Car Rides: Has little experience, so needs to be lifted into the car, but gets out easily. In a travel kennel, may scratch to get out at first but settles quickly. 🌟 Adoption Notes Hershey is an active, social, and happy boy. He would thrive in a home with another friendly dog or with a family who can give him plenty of walks and activities. With his affectionate nature toward both people and animals, he will quickly bond with his forever family.

Story
Almond Joy (A.J.) is one of several small dogs that came to us from a hoarding case. Weighing in at 15 lbs, he will need some time and patience to come out of his shell, but we can tell he has a lot of love to give! Almond Joy recently went to a foster home who shared that he is very mellow, loves taking naps, and sleeps through the night. He is house trained and does well with both cats and dogs! He loves being around other dogs, and may do best with another dog in the home to help him feel more secure.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gentle Little Chiweenie Meet Taco — Your New Best Buddy! Taco is a tiny Chiweenie with a huge heart. He came to us from a loud, overwhelming shelter, but now that he’s in a cozy home with soft beds, warm blankets, and a human who adores him, he’s finally learning what it means to feel safe and loved. We’re still getting to know this sweet little guy, but here’s what we can say for sure: Taco loves food, snuggles, and burrowing into blankets—quite possibly in that order! He enjoys going for walks, riding in the car, and soaking up all the affection he can get. Taco will soon be ready to find his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly companion with an irresistible spirit, Taco might just be the perfect match. Could he be the one for you?  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 8, 2025, 5:26 pm

Rembrandt is a perfect potato, with fur the color of toasted coconut and an adorable frosting face who has landed in Muttville just in time to find his perfect home for the holidays. He’s a little shy but warms up quickly (especially if you have a treat or two handy – it’s remarkable how brave the shy seniors become when enticed with a bit of chicken!). Rembrandt is a politely personable dog, although not always keen to initiate introductions, he’s very receptive to well-mannered mutts. He’s the perfect snuggle-size, so if you’re looking for someone to join you on the couch during these cold winter days, Rembrandt might just be the dog for you!

Story
GitHub is a mix of Jack Russel terrier and dachshund, and he combines the best of both breeds. He has the sandy brown color and compact potato-shaped body of a dachshund, adorable facial structure of a Jack Russell (which just a dusting of sugar showing his status as a distinguished gentleman), and the floppy chocolate ears of both breeds. GitHub is a friendly boy who ambles about looking for a sniff here and there; he’s getting along well with the other dogs (and people!) at Muttville with his polite manners and upbeat spirit. This portly gentleman has been searching for his forever home, and he’s considering potential families – if you’d like to throw your hat in the ring, come meet this sweet senior today! Here's some notes from his foster: Happy to take a solid stroll. Delighted to be buried in a blanket. Despite being low to the ground, GitHub handles stairs competently and will leap onto a chair or bed no problem if it seems like it’ll be cozy and have a good view of you. He’ll cuddle a bit but seems most interested to be cozy near you versus on you. He sits at the door to have his leash attached. He’s loose on long walks (1-3 miles), doesn’t react much when dogs across the street get barky and excited. He happily and calmly introduces himself to dogs large and small when out and about, but doesn’t seem tempted to play too much and seems unfamiliar with toys. He loves his breakfast and dinner but isn’t treat or crumb oriented (he sat wrapped in a blanket on my lap out to breakfast , nose at plate level, and only ate the few tiny egg bites I offered, wasn’t nosey at all… amazing restraint!!) He likes to know where I am and will come looking for me a short few minutes after he’s lost track of me. In the few days I’ve had him, I’ve not left him at home and gone out for more than 30 minutes, but he seems to be getting more used to the reliability of the movements in a new house. He’s not very vocal and is pretty slow to push open doors that are ajar. Though he’s good on long walks, he likes to do his morning business down the street and head straight back to the warm house for breakfast and more blanket wrapped energy renewal time. He sleeps still and quietly all night on his own little dog pad and under his own cozy blanket at the head of my bed. His ideal would be to have my pillow. His resting mode usually involves tucking at least his nose if not his whole body into something. He’s very sweet and gentle in my experience and very good looking.
