His favorite place in the world isn’t a dog bed, a couch, or even the backyard—it’s curled up directly against your neck like the world’s cutest living scarf.   At just 3-4 months old and about 15 pounds, Muffler Man is a sweet, sensitive little guy who came to rescue with his brother Stovepipe after the pair found themselves scared and overwhelmed in a shelter. Thankfully, they got their second chance, and Muffler Man has been steadily discovering that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.   From Shaky Shelter Pup to Playful Best Friend   When Muffler Man first arrived in foster care, he was terrified. He shook constantly, barely moved, and wasn't sure who he could trust. Fast forward a few weeks, and you’ll find him zooming around the yard with his four canine foster siblings, soaking up sunshine, and asking for cuddles whenever he gets the chance.   He can still be timid when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, and he isn't quite convinced that being picked up is a wonderful idea. But every day he grows a little braver. Once he decides you're part of his trusted circle, his affectionate personality shines through.   A Day in the Life of Muffler Man   Muffler Man starts his day around 8:30 AM with a potty break and breakfast. After fueling up, it's time for a morning play session with his dog friends before settling in for what may be one of his favorite activities: couch cuddling.   Throughout the day, he balances playtime with plenty of lounging. He enjoys hanging out in the yard while his foster mom works, soaking up the sun and watching the world go by. After lunch, there’s more playtime, more snuggles, and more opportunities to perfect the art of being adorable.   Evenings are spent relaxing nearby while dinner is prepared, followed by his own dinner at 8 PM. After a final round of TV-time cuddles and quality couch lounging, he heads out for one last potty break before curling up in bed—preferably as close to his human as physically possible.   Professional Cuddler, Amateur Explorer   Muffler Man has mastered the rare balance of being both playful and cuddly. He loves wrestling and romping with other dogs, but he’s equally happy spending hours curled up beside his favorite person.   He’s very much a companion dog who enjoys following his humans from room to room. If you move, chances are Muffler Man will move too. He wants to know what you're doing, where you're going, and whether there might be cuddles involved.   His foster family’s favorite thing about him? At bedtime, he snuggles right into the crook of your neck and falls asleep as close as possible. It’s impossible not to feel loved when Muffler Man decides you're his person.   Dog Friends Welcome   Having other dogs around has made a huge difference for Muffler Man. He currently lives with four small dogs and absolutely loves having canine companions to learn from and play with. Watching confident dogs has helped him gain confidence of his own.   He also lives with a cat and doesn't seem particularly interested in feline drama. As far as he's concerned, the cat exists and that's perfectly fine.   He hasn't been tested with children, but because he can be nervous and skittish, older, respectful kids or teenagers would likely be the best fit.   Training and Puppy Progress   Muffler Man is still a baby, so he's very much a work in progress. He's not crate trained, but he does fine when left home with the resident dogs and happily spends his time lounging on the couch. At night, he sleeps in bed with his foster family.   As a growing puppy, he's currently teething and enjoys chewing appropriate bones. He occasionally investigates planter beds and backyard treasures but isn't much of a digger.   When strangers arrive or when someone comes home, he may bark at first because he's unsure. Give him a moment to process what's happening, and his sweet personality quickly returns.   Looking for a Patient, Loving Home   Muffler Man's ideal home is one that understands that trust takes time. He doesn't need perfection—he needs patience, kindness, and people willing to let him move at his own pace.   A home with another friendly dog would be a huge bonus, as canine companionship has helped him blossom tremendously. While he can certainly adapt to different lifestyles, he'll thrive with adopters who enjoy having a loyal little shadow nearby and don't mind sharing their bed with a puppy who thinks cuddling is an Olympic sport.   Why You'll Love Muffler Man   Muffler Man is one of those dogs whose personality unfolds like a gift. Beneath the initial shyness is a goofy, loving, quirky puppy who wants nothing more than to feel safe, loved, and included.   If you already have a playful dog looking for a best friend—or if you're searching for a sweet puppy who will reward your patience with endless affection—Muffler Man just might be your perfect match.June 6, 2026, 5:59 pm

Luckily, you won't need a reading to know what's in store with Tarot: lap snuggles, car rides, couch cuddles, and a little shadow who wants to be involved in absolutely everything you do.   This adorable 1-2 year old Chiweenie weighs 15 pounds and was rescued from a shelter. While we don't know much about her past, one thing is crystal clear—her future is looking bright.   Daily Life with Tarot   Tarot starts her day around 7 AM when the family wakes up for school. Breakfast comes first, followed by a day spent doing what she does best: being close to her people.   You'll often find her perched on the couch, relaxing in a dining room chair, or supervising household activities from the coziest spot she can find. She enjoys a daily walk around midday and is happy whether the adventure is long or short.   In the evening, Tarot settles in with her family and happily heads to bed around 10 PM. Her favorite place to be is wherever her humans are, preferably touching at least one of them.   Professional Lap Occupier   When Tarot first arrived from the shelter, she was understandably a little timid. It didn't take long, however, for her true personality to emerge.   Now she's a loving little Velcro dog who follows her people from room to room, always wanting to know what they're doing and whether she can help. (Her version of helping usually involves sitting in your lap.)   The moment someone sits down, Tarot sees it as an open invitation. She'll happily hop right into your lap, curl up beside you on the couch, or snuggle close at bedtime. If you're looking for a dog who believes personal space is optional, Tarot may be your soulmate.   Equal Parts Adventure Buddy and Couch Companion   Tarot has mastered the art of balance.   Want to go for a walk? She's ready.   Planning a hike or a day trip? Count her in.   Need someone to spend the entire afternoon snuggled under a blanket? That's actually one of her specialties.   She may be small, but she's surprisingly athletic and enjoys getting out and exploring. At the same time, she's perfectly content spending the day curled up in a warm lap, soaking up affection.   Her motto seems to be: 'I don't really care what we're doing, as long as we're doing it together.'   Friends, Family, and Four-Legged Companions   Tarot currently lives with a Golden Retriever and enjoys playing with her canine friend. She has shown that she'd do well in a home with another playful dog, though she'd also be happy soaking up attention as an only dog.   While she may occasionally bark when she sees other dogs during walks, it's more of a social commentary than anything aggressive. She walks nicely on leash and enjoys meeting the world one sniff at a time.   She also loves spending time with her family and thrives on human companionship.   House Manners   Tarot is wonderfully house-trained and has not had any accidents in her foster home.   She's not destructive, doesn't chew things she shouldn't, and is only just beginning to discover the joys of toys. When someone comes to the door, she may offer a few barks to announce their arrival, and she sometimes protests briefly when her favorite person leaves the house.   Fortunately, she's easy to redirect and settles down quickly. A peanut butter-covered lick mat is one of her favorite ways to pass the time while waiting for her people to return.   Why Everyone Loves Tarot   Tarot has a way of making herself part of the family almost immediately.   She adores car rides and gets so excited when she hears the garage door open that she runs straight to the car, hoping an adventure is about to begin. She's affectionate without being demanding, playful without being hyper, and adaptable enough to fit into many different types of homes.   Whether you're an active family looking for a sidekick or someone searching for the perfect couch companion, Tarot is happy to fill the role.   One Last Thing...   Every family has that one member who keeps an eye on household pests.   For Tarot, that job description apparently includes catching flies directly out of the air.   That's right. In a moment that left her foster family both impressed and slightly stunned, Tarot successfully snagged a fly mid-flight. Equal parts athlete, comedian, and pest-control specialist, she takes all her responsibilities seriously.   The Perfect Home   Tarot's dream home is simple: lots of love, plenty of human interaction, and people who want a dog to truly be part of the family.   She'll happily join you on walks, road trips, errands, movie nights, and lazy Sunday mornings. Whatever your day holds, Tarot wants a front-row seat.   After everything she's been through, this sweet little shelter survivor is more than ready to live her best life. All she needs now is a family to share it with.   And if the cards are right, that family might just be yours.June 6, 2026, 5:59 pm

Story
Please welcome the truly gorgeous Gabby! This pretty girl is 3 years old and a magical mix of dog breeds that makes her one of the most unique pups you'll ever see. Weighing 49 lbs,Gabby is very loving and adores all people, including kids, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. While she is happy to coexist with other pets, she would also flourish as the center of attention in her forever home! She is curious and eager to please her foster, though she can be cautious when meeting new people until she warms up.Gabby is already reliably crate trained and is making great progress with her leash manners. She would be a perfect companion for someone looking for a sweet, engaged, gentle, and playful pup who is past the problem puppy stage—a dog you can snuggle, walk, and who will make you feel like the best dog parent ever.
