Story
Baya is the kind of dog who wakes up like she’s already late for an adventure. If there’s snow, she’s ready to sprint. If there’s no snow, she’ll just improvise on how to get that energy out. We've seen a lot of smarts out of this girl so even though she's set in high gear. We feel she has a lot of potential as a companion. This high-octane sled dog mix comes fully equipped with turbo ears, lightning-fast zoomies, and a deep belief that every human she meets is her new teammate. She’s got that “let’s go right now” energy, paired with just enough charm to convince you it was your idea all along. If you’ve got an active lifestyle and a sense of humor, Baya’s already halfway out the door waiting for you!

Story
Manny is the definition of a sweetheart — a gentle senior boy with a loving heart, soulful eyes, and the kind of hugs that stay with you long after you’ve let go. He has been incredibly affectionate with everyone he’s met so far, leaning in for love, soaking up attention, and charming everyone around him with his soft, loyal nature. He truly is a total lover boy. Having already lived through plenty of life’s adventures, Manny seems to appreciate the simple things most: being close to his people, enjoying the outdoors, and feeling part of a family. He previously lived as an indoor dog and spent most of his day relaxing inside, where he was comfortable being part of everyday home life. He goes outside to potty and will usually let you know he needs to go by whining. Manny is crate trained, knows several cues including sit, down, off, drop, quiet, and outside/potty, and clearly understands what it means to be a well-loved companion. His favorite toy? Socks — which only adds to his endearing personality. He loves water, does well with baths and handling, and is comfortable being touched all over. He has been allowed on furniture in the past, naps during car rides, and may even let out an occasional little howl — just enough to remind you he has plenty of personality left to share! Manny is friendly with visitors and has done well with men, women, children, small animals, and livestock. He has never lived with cats, so we cannot say for certain how he would do with them. Around other dogs, Manny may need a little extra patience and reassurance, as he appears to have developed some nervousness after being attacked by another dog in a previous home. Slow introductions will help him feel safe and comfortable. As a senior boy who has had hip surgery in the past, Manny deserves a home that appreciates him for exactly who he is — a loyal companion with so much love still to give. He may not be looking for chaos or adventure, but he is looking for soft places to rest, kind people to adore, and a family who will treasure the gentle joy he brings.

Story
Penny is the happiest little wiggle-bug, with the brightest smile and a joyful personality that can light up a room! Her goofy, excitable spirit and affectionate nature make her the kind of dog who brings cheer wherever she goes. Penny came to us as a stray, and although we sadly weren’t able to reunite her with her previous owner, she hasn’t let that dampen her spirit — she’s looking ahead to a bright future and a loving forever home. While Penny can definitely be a bit of a wild child at times, she also has some lovely manners to build on. She appears to be potty trained and keeps her space nice and clean. She knows sit, shake, and lay down, and she’s currently working on roll over! She’s a smart girl who enjoys learning and seems to thrive with mental stimulation and positive interaction. On leash, Penny can get excited and may need a little guidance, but with consistency and redirection she settles in nicely. She’s an active, busy girl who will do best with regular exercise and a positive outlet for her energy. Chew bones seem to be her favorite, though she’s happy to enjoy all kinds of toys. We do not know if Penny has lived with other animals before. During her time at the shelter, she has shown a friendly demeanor when seeing other dogs and has not been reactive. However, Penny does have several scars consistent with past dog fights, so we strongly encourage slow introductions with any resident pets. We’re always happy to arrange a dog meet-and-greet prior to adoption. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion with a huge smile and lots of love to give, Penny may be your girl!

Story
Thor is a sweet, smart, and slightly shy boy who’s ready to find the stability and love he deserves! After arriving at the shelter as a stray, we were able to trace several previous owners but unfortunately never located his most recent one. It seems Thor has spent a lot of time bouncing from place to place, and now he’s hoping his next stop will finally be his forever home. While he may take a moment to warm up, Thor is incredibly quick to trust when given gentle reassurance and a proper introduction. Once you’re in his circle, you’re there for life — he’s the kind of loyal companion who loves to stay close to his people and quietly soak up your company. Thor is a very smart boy who is always paying attention and ready for his next cue. He already knows sit, shake, lay down, touch, wait, and drop it — truly a 10/10 super good boy! He walks beautifully on leash, appears potty trained (though like any dog, he’ll need time to adjust to a new routine), and has done well with handling, including baths! He’s an active, playful dog who would thrive with positive outlets for his energy. Thor enjoys leisurely walks, tennis balls, and spending quality time with his people. He also absolutely lights up around other dogs and may really enjoy having a canine companion in his new home — he especially seems to think fellow shelter dog Butter Cup is pretty cute! We’re always happy to arrange a dog meet-and-greet if needed. Because Thor still needs continued socialization and confidence building, we feel he would do best in a home without small children for now, as fast movements and unfamiliar little humans can feel intimidating to him. With patience, consistency, and positive experiences, we think Thor has so much potential to continue blossoming. Thor is truly an awesome pup with so much love to give. More than anything, we want to see him land in a home where he can finally exhale, feel secure, and know he’s there to stay.

Story
Kiki is a gentle, quiet girl with the sweetest soft expression — and yes, those puppy dog eyes are every bit as irresistible as they look! She may appreciate taking things slow at first, but she warms up quickly and adjusts to new surroundings beautifully, especially when kind words and a few yummy treats are involved. Kiki came to us as a stray, so her past is unknown, but she has been an absolutely lovely little resident during her time at the shelter and has made it easy for us to adore her. She clearly seems to have been a house dog before, with wonderful manners to show for it. Kiki appears to be potty trained, may even be crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows the cues sit and down. She has a mellow, easygoing personality and seems happiest enjoying slow strolls, gentle snuggles, and relaxed playtime. Kiki has a soft, affectionate nature and often likes to stay close to her people — especially when she’s hoping for a little extra love. We do not know if Kiki has lived with other animals before. During her time here, she has not shown reactivity toward other dogs, though she does carry herself with a confident demeanor around them and may not pair best with a dominant dog. Slow introductions are always encouraged, and we’re happy to arrange a dog meet-and-greet prior to adoption if needed! Overall, Kiki is a laidback little lady with an easy-to-please personality who would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a more calm, loving addition to their home.
