Story
Toph (A141749) is an 8-year-old AK Husky who weighed 48.4 pounds on intake! 04/16/26 This photogenic gal is Toph! Toph was surrendered to the shelter because she was retiring from running and looking to transition to more of an indoor lifestyle. However, Toph still has a lot of energy and would love to get out and run on a rec team, or possibly take up skijoring, in her senior years. She was said to get overenthusiastic when geared up to go on a run, which has led her to be a bit nippy in the past. She may do best in a home without young children, given her prior behavior. Toph was also noted to do well with male dogs but can be selective when it comes to other female dogs. She has no know experience with cat or pocket pets. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with new animals. Toph has spent time living indoors, is kennel-trained and housebroken, and rides well in a vehicle. It was stated that she can jump fences if given the chance and left unsupervised. She should always be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised while in a fenced-in yard. If you are interested in meeting Toph, please let us know! April 23, 2026, 10:41 pm

Story
We adopted Belsnickle from the shelter on 12/25/24. He was around 2mos old. Belsnickle is a wonderful dog that needs A LOT of playtime. Belsnickle LOVES spending time with his friends at doggy daycare. He does know some basic commands. Belsnickle has a tough time sleeping through the night because he gets antsy and wants to play. He has an immeasurable amount of energy and will need constant stimulation, play and exercise from his new family. Feel free to ask me questions. Again, he is HIGH ENERGY and will not be a good fit in a home that isn’t pretty constantly active. He will also need to be in doggy daycare to help alleviate some of his built up energy.

Story
Hank is a very happy, loving dog that needs to be in a home without cats. He loves the dog park and does well with other dogs. He hasn’t been around little dogs much though so not sure how he does with them. He is high in energy and would do great in a home that has another dog to play with.

Story
Leonard (A141457) is a 10-month-old Lab x Mastiff mix who weighed 67.5 pounds on intake! 04/21/26 Leonard is back at the shelter because he was not the right fit for his last home. He was a bit too interested in their female dog, and they felt it was unfair to her because he was constantly in her business. While in their care, he had no experience with smaller critters. He is a very rambunctious pup so please ensure you are making appropriate interactions with all new animals. Leonard was also said to jump on people and to not understand his size. This did result in him knocking over his adoptive owner and their small child on multiple occasions. With that said, we think Leonard would do best in a home without children under 12 to avoid accidental knockovers. He would also benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners. He is a young boy looking for some guidance and continued patience. Leonard was said to be housebroken and about 75% kennel trained. He was said to love his chew toys and is looking for a home that can provide him with an enriched life. If you are interested in meeting Leonard, please let us know! 03/17/26 This goofball is Leonard! Leonard arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for his new home! He is a young boy looking for some guidance in life. Leonard would highly benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners and learn a trick or two. His finder did state that he was a very vocal boy and that he liked to chew on things. Providing him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation is important in keeping Leonard happy, healthy, and out of trouble! We do not know if he has experience with other animals or children. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new potential friends. Leonard is quite rambunctious which is not always well received. Leonard is looking for an active home that can take him on plenty of adventures. If you are interested in meeting Leonard, please let us know! April 23, 2026, 10:41 pm
