Story
Meet Menard! This handsome little guy is ready to find his forever home. Menard came to us as a stray, so his history is unknown, but we estimate him to be around 3–4 years old. We believe he’s a Border Collie mix with a sweet and easygoing personality that has quickly made him a staff favorite.Menard loves being around people and is very treat-motivated, making him a great candidate for continued training. He already knows how to sit and shake with both paws! He’s been calm, affectionate, and simply enjoys being petted. He also did amazing during his bath time.Cats and kids are unknown at this time, but Menard doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs as he walks by their kennels. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion, come meet Menard today!

Story
Zeb (A142107) is a 9-week-old AK Malamute puppy available for adoption! 05/13/26 These pups were surrendered to the shelter and are looking for new homes! They are Alaskan Malamute puppies and, at 9 weeks old, are already over 20 pounds, except for Jerry, who weighed in at just under 15 pounds. They are going to grow into very large dogs, and new owners should plan for this before adopting. If you are unfamiliar with Malamutes and their general traits, we encourage you to research the breed before adopting. These pups are going to need continued help with potty training, kennel training, basic commands, and continued positive socialization. While they are in their socialization window, this is very important. If you are interested in meeting any of these wonderful pups, please let us know! May 15, 2026, 11:46 pm

Story
Puddle is a young German Shepherd with a sweet heart and so much potential. While he may not have had much structure or guidance in his previous home, he’s already shown us just how eager he is to learn and grow. With the right person by his side, we know this boy is going to absolutely blossom. Because of his breed and personality, Puddle would thrive with someone who understands Shepherds and is committed to continuing his confidence-building journey. Though he was surrendered for not being potty trained, Puddle has surprised everyone with how well he’s done in the shelter—he keeps his kennel clean and has yet to have a single accident! Puddle can be a little sensitive to loud noises or sudden movements, but he walks beautifully on leash and prefers staying close to his people where he feels safe and secure. He would likely benefit from crate training in his future home, both to help maintain good habits and to give him a cozy space of his own to decompress in. He has not shown any reactivity toward other dogs and actually seems eager to make canine friends. We’re always happy to help with dog meet-and-greets if needed! Puddle may need a little time to warm up to new people, but he’s been handling new experiences like a champ. Gentle affection, patience, and yummy treats are definitely the way to win him over. And once he’s comfortable, his adorable little zoomies come out, and it’s impossible not to smile. As a working breed, Puddle will do best with positive outlets for both his energy and his brain—walks, training, enrichment, and quality time with his people will help him thrive. Puddle is truly such a good boy, and we’ve been incredibly proud of the progress he’s already making. He’s ready for a family willing to believe in him, guide him, and love him through this next chapter of life.

Story
Husk Fizzy Duke — better known as Husk! Husk is a young, wiggly bundle of happiness who is absolutely overflowing with love. This sweet boy thrives on affection and attention, and honestly? Being loved on is when you’ll see the calmest, happiest version of him. He just wants to be included and close to his people. Husk is an energetic dog who will flourish with positive outlets for all that enthusiasm. Playtime, adventures outdoors, long walks, and fun activities are right up his alley! He especially loves toys—and he’s not picky one bit. Stuffies, chew toys, enrichment puzzles… if it’s his, he’s thrilled about it! He was surrendered for needing additional training and for being destructive when left alone, but Husk has already shown us just how capable he is. In the shelter, he keeps himself busy with toys and enrichment during kennel time and has proven to be eager to learn and genuinely happy just to participate in whatever you’re doing. Husk is potty trained and already knows cues like “sit” and “down.” We’ve also been working on “wait” to help him stay focused during exciting moments, and he’s been catching on wonderfully! He would likely benefit from crate training in his future home, both to help maintain good habits and to give him a cozy, secure space of his own while his family is away. We don’t know if Husk has lived with other animals before, but he has not shown any reactivity toward other dogs. In fact, he’s usually all wiggles and friendliness when he sees them! He may do especially well with a playful companion who can match his happy energy. We are more than happy to accommodate a dog meet and greet if needed! At the end of the day, Husk is simply a good boy who needs consistency, structure, and a family willing to guide him through life with patience and love. With the right home, we have no doubt he’ll grow into an incredibly loyal and joyful companion.
