Story
Ready to adopt? Start by filling out an application at torinkahoots.com or click the Adoption button below—this is the first step to learn more about our animals and for us to get to know you. Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment. Sardine is an approximately 1-year-old Terrier mix weighing around 15 pounds. This handsome little guy may be a bit reserved when you first meet him, but once he feels comfortable, his true personality comes shining through. Sardine’s story is unfortunately one we see too often. He was a Christmas puppy in 2024, but after spending much of the following year sitting in a backyard, he eventually found himself surrendered to a shelter through no fault of his own. Despite that start, Sardine is a happy little dog with plenty of love left to give. He is the best of both worlds—full of zoomies and playful energy one minute, then curled up on the couch for a nap the next. He enjoys spending time with his people and is learning that life can be pretty wonderful. He gets along well with other small dogs. We have not tested him with cats, though he may be inclined to chase them. Sardine would likely do best in a home with respectful teenage children rather than very young or loud kids. Now Sardine is looking for what every dog deserves: a family that sees him as a lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a loyal friend with a playful spirit and a cuddly side, Sardine may be your perfect match. Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $300  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animal 0.00s must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2741332##

Story
Ready to adopt? Start by filling out an application at torinkahoots.com or click the Adoption button below—this is the first step to learn more about our animals and for us to get to know you. Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment. Meet Toffee  Toffee is a 7–8 month old terrier/Dachshund/Chihuahua mix… or at least that’s our best guess! Whatever her breed, one thing is certain—she has the sweetest heart. Toffee came to us as part of a group of dogs rescued from a condemned home. We don’t know everything she’s experienced, but it’s clear life wasn’t always kind to this little girl. Because of that, she’s cautious when meeting new people and needs a little time to feel safe. But once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll discover the real Toffee. She becomes a loving little shadow who wants nothing more than to curl up beside you, snuggle through the night, and simply be close to her person. She has a gentle soul and a heart that’s just waiting for someone to show her that she’s finally home. Toffee does wonderfully with other dogs, and we think a confident canine companion could help her continue building confidence and show her that the world is a safe place. She would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can blossom at her own pace. Because she’s still learning to trust, we’re looking for an adult-only home at this time. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Toffee isn’t the kind of dog who will run up to every stranger—but if you’re willing to give her a little patience, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty, quiet companionship, and endless cuddles. Some dogs need to be rescued. Others just need someone to believe in them. We think Toffee deserves both.  Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $200.00  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2791619##

Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment.  Meet Miss Birdie!  At 3–4 years old and 18–20 pounds, Miss Birdie is ready to trade her rough past for a lifetime of love. After she and her son were found running loose and brought to Animal Control, Birdie has shown everyone just how sweet she really is. She’s wonderful with the small dogs, is doing great with the larger dogs at the store, and is learning house manners and harness walking in her foster home. This girl absolutely adores people. Meet her once, and she’ll act like you’ve been best friends forever. Birdie likely didn’t have the easiest start in life. When she thinks she’s in trouble, she’ll drop flat to the ground and freeze. Because of that, she wouldn’t be the best fit for someone who uses a walker or wheelchair or isn’t steady on their feet. What Birdie needs most is a kind heart, a little patience, and someone to show her that she’s finally home.  Think Miss Birdie might be your perfect match? We’d love to introduce you! Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment. Meet Rufus!  Rufus is a 7-month-old neutered male who we believe is a Border Collie/Terrier mix. He and his mom, Miss Birdie, were found running loose in a small town before being picked up by Animal Control. Now he’s ready to find the family he’s been waiting for. Rufus can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little patience and kindness, and he warms up surprisingly quickly. Once he feels safe, his sweet, playful puppy personality starts to shine. He’s doing great socializing with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. Around cats, he’s curious and has wanted to chase, but he’s responded well while on leash and continues to make progress. Like any young puppy, Rufus is still learning the basics. He’s working on his house manners and leash manners and will thrive with a family willing to continue his training. He’s a smart boy with lots of potential and will do best in a home that can provide both mental stimulation and daily activity. If you’re looking for a loyal young companion and don’t mind putting in a little time to help him build confidence, Rufus is ready to reward you with a lifetime of love. Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $250.00  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2793587##
