Story
Hi my name is Apollo and I’m a purebred 23 month old Belgian Malinos and I’m true to my name, I’ love to chase the ball and play fetch I have had 6 weeks of professional training but need more work on my reactivity to humans. I don’t trust easily but once you have earned my trust I’m a loveable boy who loves to cuddle. I’m a great protector and I listen really good to my master. I live with other dogs and prefer a doggy mate. I am crate trained but am left loose in the house when my masters not home but must make sure everything that’s chewable is put away like the tv remote control . I also don’t like to be away from my master for very long so I would prefer someone who is home a lot with me. I wouldn’t do well in a home that’ has a lot of human traffic since I don’t trust easily. I do love walks and enjoy water. I MUST HAVE A A OWNER With EXPERIENCE OWNING A BELGIAN MALINOS BELGIAN MALINOS

Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
I adopted Marcy at 8 weeks old on October 1st, 2023. I was told that the mom dad were calm growing up but I didnt see them in-person since they were barking. Marcy has always done great during car rides with her kennel and hasnt experienced getting car sick. Shes a rambunctious silly girl full of energy and loves food. She learns incredibly fast and when shes focused and has a stare that can shatter bones. Super high energy and vocal. Loves to play fetch for hours. Unfortunately, she does not get along with my cat that Ive had for years. Ive been trying slowly to have them in the same room together but it causes her too much stress and discomfort. Im not sure if its jealousy or if she just doesnt like cats but Im afraid something would happen if Im not home. Had 6 weeks of basic obedience at PetSmart.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
At approx 4 years old, suspected Husky mix, Bitsy is pretty petite at just about 34lbs. She loves to run and play, give kisses, wrestle, play with her favorite Kong toy and has been getting very good at hide-and-seek. With all her energy, she would probably be GREAT on an agility course as she is a fast learner. Currently the only dog in a home with 2 working adults, and a newborn. She no longer gets the attention or activity she needs. She's very social and friendly with other dogs, but does not do well with cats. We have been able to leave her out of the crate when we are gone, but that was a long process. She will need time to adjust to a new home to calm her anxiety and get used to her new surroundings. She learns very quickly and respects her boundaries when they are set consistently. (UPDATE - originally posted in 2022, now has had more accidents in the house, we think because of getting more anxious when not getting enough attention and can longer leave her out alone.)

Female, Adult
Yuba City, CA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Freya is a sweet, sensitive girl with a personality to match. She would love a home where she can relax by her owner’s feet all day long and just keep you company. She bonds incredibly strongly with her ‘special person’, so becomes worried when she is left alone for too long. She needs an understanding owner who can work with her to become more independent and confident and who has time to be home with her for a good part of the day. Freya is potty trained and doing very well with crate-training. She does seem to have a preference for ladies. She enjoys running around the yard and playing with her dog friends, both large and small. She appreciates time to adapt to new places and would feel most comfortable in a quiet home with kids 10 and up. This sensitive girl is looking for a patient adopter who will give her some time to settle into her new home. Breed: German Wirehaired Pointer mix Sex: Spayed Female Age: 1 yr, 6 months Size: 42 lbs Arrival Date: 4-18-23 Freya is up to date on shots, spayed, heart worm tested negative and microchipped. If you would like to meet Freya, please email ResQpaws at info@resqpaws.org or call 530-713-9079 for more information. You can fill out an application on our website,  resqpaws.org.  Under the Applications tab is the Foster Dog Adoption Application. April 16, 2024, 12:22 pm

Story
MEET HANK - Hank is a Gotti Pittie, Yes it’s a real thing. He’s a smaller guy than a typical pittie. He was purchased from a breeder and then given to the daughter who is in college with no way to really care for Hank. We hadn’t heard of a gottie pittie but looked them up on the internet and they are said to be amazing family dogs. Well, Hank sure is. He’s a happy soul despite his beginnings of living outdoors and he’s really praying his doggy prayers he can be someone’s couch potato. He has had a crash course on house manners and is improving daily, He wants to cuddle, is a bit of an hurricane to start, but can calm down once in love bug position. Hank will be a year old the end of December. He would love to have a family of his own for Christmas. Hank is now Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you believe Hank is your love match, please email us with a little information about yourselves and how Hank would spend his days with you, to gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you - Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.
