Story
Meet Khal Drogo (“Drogo”), our sweet 7‑year‑old German Shepherd. We’ve had him since he was 10 weeks old, and he’s been with us through several duty stations. While he did great in Colorado’s dry climate, the humidity in Middle Georgia has severely worsened his allergies. Despite years of veterinary care, medications, diet changes, and constant use of a cone, he continues to suffer from painful hotspots. This has been an incredibly hard decision, but we know Drogo needs to be rehomed for his health and comfort. He truly needs a dry‑climate environment where he can finally heal and thrive. If you or someone you know can provide a loving home in a dry state, please reach out. 💙

Shogun had a home, a mom that loved him more than we can even express. He provided her with comfort. He would greet all the neighbors and loved getting pets from all the kids getting off the school bus from school. He also lived with two chihuahuas. But due to landlord issues the mom had to surrender Shogun. Shogun is a beautiful boy and already proven that he can live with a family of both humans and fur babies. Please consider giving him his forever home!

Moose

American Staffordshire Terrier

Male, 8 yrs 6 mos

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Moose is shy at first, but loves everyone he meets. He is house trained and dog door trained, and is such a gentleman. He waits for permission to go in and out when the door is open, has never torn up anything in the house, and walks wonderfully on a leash. He prefers to be with his people as much as possible, and would be an amazing dog for a retired person or someone who works from home. Moose was abused in the past, so he is very fearful of raised voices and sudden movements. For that reason, he needs a home without small children, as their play can be very scary to him. Moose can be tested with a submissive dog close to his size for the right match, but he would be happiest as the only pet.

Story
General is such an affectionate boy. He does best with submissive dogs that are close to his size. He loves to go for rides and out for adventures. He plays hard so we do not recommend him for anyone with small children. He is crate and house trained. He sings for his breakfast in the morning and is super cuddly. He is a big lovable gentle giant. He is a fave with all the volunteers here at CCAA.
