Story
Shelby is a very sweet girl that is looking for her furever home! She originally came to us as a stray puppy and unfortunately after being adopted out she was found as a stray later again and loaded with heartworms. A gracious foster took her in and fundraised with us to completely treat her and get her back to being 1000% healthy and happy again! She has been with the foster and she has nothing but great things to say about miss Shelby! She gets along phenomenal with young kids and loves to play with her other dogs! Shelby gets along well with every male dog she meets but can sometimes be selective with other female dogs. Miss Shelby is not a cat lover so would do best in a home without them. Walks great on a leash and loves outdoor time! Would be a great dog to take camping, hiking, running, etc. Shelby is also not opposed to being a lazy couch potato with her family! She loves to watch movies with you and will stayed glued to the TV! She also LOVES car rides! She also loves to go out in public and thinks every single person alive wants to pet and cuddle her! She is extremely well trained including all her basic commands, kennel training and house training! Spayed, HW tested negative, Rabies vaccinated and chipped already! Her adoption fee is $250! Story
Connor is an energetic boy looking for a home for the holidays! He is a medium size dog that loves walks, runs, playing, literally anything that involves movement! He walks great on a leash but would love a home with a big fenced in yard! he can be an escape artist but if he had a friend to play with constantly we think he would like his pen a whole lot more lol. He is such a good natured boy and means no harm to anybody! he gets along with everybody at the shelter but likes to chase cats a little too much to be in a home with them. He is also house trained and kennel trained! His adoption fee has been reduced due to already being neutered and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100 and he will need a heartworm test and microchip. Please call 618-833-4915 to come see him! Are you interested in adopting this pet? Story
Bear is an awesome dog and would be a great addition to an active family! He prefers grown kids or adults over rambunctious kids. He LOVES to go for adventures in the woods and hiking and even has fabulous recall. He also knows his basic commands and is house trained! He has been apart of a long court case which lasted 2 years, was then adopted and ultimately returned. He is such a good boy and deserves every nice thing that life can give him! His adoption fee is $250 and he has already been neutered, heartworm tested negative, chipped and rabies vaccinated! Please call 618-833-4915 if you would like to meet him! Story
Miss Cruella - 6 month old female German Shorthair Pointer mix. Cruella is FULL of energy and a typical puppy! She is still young enough that she would be very very trainable but needs a stable and consistent environment, not animal control! She is a beauty in person and the pointer really comes out in her! She was an owner surrender so we know her mother was full blooded GSP! She gets along great with other dogs and LOVES to play! Her adoption fee is $275 and this will include her DAPPV vaccine, deworming, spay, heartworm test, microchip and 1 year Rabies vaccine. Please call 618-833-4915 to come meet her! Thank you! Story
Nala is a big beautiful girl looking for her furever home! Some good samaritans watched someone push her out of the backseat of a car on a backroad and quickly picked her up so she wouldn't be left wandering in the middle of nowhere. She was pretty thin but she is quickly putting on weight! Her finders even took her to the vet for a checkup and a Rabies vaccine! she does well with all the other dogs here at the shelter and doesn't seem to mind cats either! She LOVES to go on car rides despite the trauma from the people who dumped her. She even went on a supply run to Walmart with us and was an absolute angel! She loved meeting all the kids, workers and elderly people in the cart scooters since they were eye level with her and she could give better kisses. She is such a gentle giant and would do great in a home with kids of all ages. She is very aware of her size and doesn't jump, push or try to knock anybody over. The only "quirk" about her is she can be protective of her home and people when other dogs come into the yard but we don't think that's necessarily a bad thing! She does well on a leash but will sometimes pull if she gets distracted. She seems to be house and kennel trained since she doesn't potty in her kennel with us! Her adoption fee is $300 and this will include her DAPPV vaccine, deworming, spay, HW test, Rabies Vaccine and Microchip. Please call 618-833-4915 to set up an appointment to come meet her! Story
Hotch is a BIG OLE BABY waiting for his perfect family to come along! He was surrendered due to some extreme personal issues that are no fault of his! He has been in a home his whole life and he absolutely can't wait to get back to one! He does phenomenal with kids from newborn babies and up. He is very, very gentle and respectful. He will not jump and knock anybody down! He does great with rabbits, cats and with all other types of dogs no matter their disposition! He is fully house and kennel trained and will stay behind even a short baby gate if needed. He loves to lounge on the couch and would be soooo happy if someone had some kids he could sleep in bed with at night. He is not a barker unless someone pulls up to the house then he will for sure let you know about it! There is truly too many good things about this dog that we can fit on this description! he is trained to a perimeter collar and will need either that or a fenced in back yard. (He likes to chase squirrels and gets carried away sometimes lol). His adoption fee is $275 and this will include his DAPPV, deworming, flea and tick, neuter, he is already tested heartworm negative, 1 year Rabies vaccine and microchip.
