Aires

American Staffordshire Terrier Jack Russell Terrier

Female, 6 yrs 5 mos
Quincy, IL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Aires is so sweet and just loves people. She enjoys nothing more than being with the humans she cares about, whether out for a jog, playing in the yard, or cuddling up on the couch. Except bubbles, this girl loves to chase bubbles!!!! She is very intelligent and eager to please, which makes her highly trainable; although, that intelligence means she needs mental stimulation. She needs a strong, confident owner who will set boundaries without being overly harsh. Unfortunately she was most likely not socialized properly when she was younger so she will need a home without other pets. Not to worry though she has so much love to give her people it will feel like being loved by many pets in one! If you are looking for your one and only and want a dog that has a tremendous amount of love to give, then Aires is the girl for you!

Story
Chance is 3.5 yrs old, has the cutest squishy face and wants nothing more than to cuddle with you on the couch. He hands down wins the best and biggest smile. He LOVES riding shotgun. He has a facial expression for everything!! He has some of the funniest quirks we have ever seen. Give him a treat he doesn't like and he will squeeze his mouth shut as tight as he can with the most hilarious look on his face. Give him some peanut butter and love and you have yourself a lifelong friend! With that said he is a victim of being taken away from his mother too young he has all the classic "opportunities" that go along with it. Chance does need to be the only pet in the home. He will need an experienced owner and preferably a home where someone is home the majority of the time. He is initially shy around new people but once he realizes you want to be his friend he is a friend for life.

Story
Galileo came to Homeward Bound Waggin from another shelter with not much a back story. He loves to run off energy outside and will need lots of space to run. Galileo would be the perfect dog to take for runs and live an active life with. Galileo can jump on top of or over things with ease. At right at five years old he still has a lot of energy and love to give. He is very food motivated and loves to search out treats and other food.

Bailey

Hound (Unknown Type) Boxer

Female, 2 yrs 7 mos
Quincy, IL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Bailey is just the sweetest girl. She is a nice mix of active (ready for a run, hike, you name it) and cuddle bug as she does like her time snuggling on the couch. She does need to be the "Queen Bee" when it comes to ohter dogs so does well with dogs that can rumble and tumble to play but let her be in charge. She could possibly share a home with cats with some training. She does not seem to want to hurt them but if they run she likes to play chase. She is great with kids of all ages. She will make someone a wonderful companion. If you think you would be interested in making Bailey a part of your family please complete our online adoption application found at https://www.homewardboundwaggininc.org/

Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Sheldon was held in a local pound for several months and was slated to be euthanized due to overcrowding and because he was the dog that had been there the longest. Thank God we were able to take him in as he is truly a very good boy. He has a wonderful personality and is everyone's friend. He is a medium active dog, loves a good brisk jaunt and also cuddle time. He enjoys playing and would do well with younger kids. He is still in his puppyhood but rarely messes his kennel. We have no real idea as to his breed(s), he is a very unusual looking dog in the best sense, very cute! Pictures don't do him or his curls justice.
