The horse! Such a sweet girl! She gets along with other dogs but when introducing she forces play very fast and some dogs don’t like that. Once she feels out the dog, she settles down pretty quickly and won’t play too rough. She gets along with men, women, and children! She would just have to be taught not to jump up if she’s in a home with littles because she’s HUGE! When walking her through the cat room she’s very hyper-focused on the cats and when they hiss or swat, she starts barking. So I wouldn’t say she’s cat friendly.Adoption Fee: $10 (until Dec. 31)(sponsored by generous donor)____Peyton graduated from Puppies for Parole - an 8 week obedience training program where she learned basic commands and be potty trained. Diego (male)1 year - Blue Heeler mix (39lbs) - strayFrom staff:Diego is super sweet and a very well behaved dog! He walks well on a leash, gets along great with other dogs. He is very focused when around kitties so I’m not sure that he would do well with cats, but if someone is willing to work with him, he is very very eager to learn. He gets along great with other dogs and is very playful. He does tend to jump when greeting, but when corrected he listens very well. I took him to a Nodaway County Services event and he was amazing! I would say he could go home with children as he’s not nippy, he just like to give hugs and kisses so they’d have to teach him not to jump. Good with men, women, dogs, and childrenAdoption Fee: $50 (until Dec. 31)
