Story
Axel is a 5-month-old medium/large mixed-breed pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This goofy little guy is always ready to play—whether it’s chasing toys, zooming around the yard, or making new doggy friends (his favorite activity!). He gets along great with other dogs and would love a home where he can have a playmate or regular adventures. Axel is still a puppy, so he’s learning all the good-boy basics and will thrive with a family ready to guide him as he grows. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, tail-wagging sidekick who will keep you smiling every day, Axel is your guy.

Story
Bindi is a 50-pound black Lab mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This sweet girl is on the curvier side right now, but she’s ready to slim down with an active family who will help her stay happy and healthy. She has a medium energy level and would love a home where she can stretch her legs, go on walks, and enjoy some outdoor time. Bindi gets along well with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. While she hasn’t quite figured out how to play with them yet, she loves being around them—think of her as a little socially awkward, but eager to belong. Bindi is curious about cats and shows interest, but she hasn’t displayed any aggression. With proper introductions and supervision, she may do just fine in a home with feline friends. When it comes to people, Bindi absolutely shines. She’s incredibly friendly, affectionate, and loves being part of the action. Whether it’s meeting new friends or spending time with her humans, she’s always ready to share her gentle, loving nature. If you’re looking for a sweet, slightly goofy companion who just wants to be included and loved, Bindi might be your perfect match.

Story
Riley is a gentle soul who has spent far too much of her short life surviving instead of simply being loved. Before coming to the shelter, Riley lived mostly outdoors, fending for herself and learning that the world could be a hard and lonely place. It took months for her to trust a human enough to come close… only to end up in a shelter afterward. Even with every reason to give up on people, Riley still chooses kindness. Little by little, she’s learning that gentle hands can mean comfort, warm beds are safe, and love can stay. Every new introduction is a brave step for this sweet girl, and she’s doing so well. Riley has also discovered how much she enjoys the company of other dogs and absolutely shines in play group, where her playful, happy side finally gets to come out. What Riley needs now is not perfection — just someone patient enough to show her that she never has to survive on her own again. Someone who will celebrate the small victories, cherish her quiet trust, and give her the forever home she’s always deserved. Behind Riley’s cautious eyes is a dog who wants so badly to love and be loved. After everything she’s been through, imagine what it would mean for her to finally know what “home” feels like.

Story
Meet Abba — professionally known as “The House Hippo.” Estimated age: 7–8 years young Favorite activities: supervising snack time, guarding the couch from invisible threats, and being dramatically in love with her humans. Abba is the kind of girl who believes personal space is overrated and that every couch cushion was specifically designed for her royal backside. She’s sweet, loyal, hilarious, and fully committed to being your tiny shadow around the house. When it comes to other dogs, Abba would probably prefer to be the only four-legged diva in the home. That said, we’re happy to do meet-and-greets with any current dogs because every hippo deserves a fair introduction. She will need an owner committed to feeding her separately — the House Hippo takes dinner very seriously and prefers a private dining experience fit for a queen. Abba is past the puppy chaos and fully into her “cozy retirement era.” She’s looking for a forever home where she can binge-watch your life from the comfort of her couch, collect belly rubs like trophies, and remind you daily that you’re never going to the bathroom alone again. If you’ve been searching for a loyal best friend, professional snuggler, and part-time ottoman with a personality bigger than her body, Abba may just be your girl. 💕

Story
Meet Franky — a handsome 2-year-old Doberman mix with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. Franky is a medium-to-high energy guy who’s always ready for an adventure, whether that’s playtime with other dogs, exploring the yard, or tagging along for daily activities. Franky gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion in his new home. Cats, however, are probably not the best fit for him. He’s still a young dog and will need continued work on his manners and basic training, but he’s eager to learn and full of potential. When Franky was first found, he had been digging through trash and happily making rounds visiting kids at the local Boys & Girls Club, so we think he’d likely do well in a home with children who can match his playful energy. Franky is looking for an active family willing to give him structure, guidance, and plenty of love. In return, you’ll get a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s ready to be part of the family.
