She may be a bit reserved when first meeting new people but warms up quickly. - Can exhibit some reactivity to other dogs when on-leash or behind a fence, but less as she’s gets older. - With proper introductions and supervised visits, she has enjoyed playtime with other dogs. Likes to chase squirrels and birds. - Can be slightly destructive when bored. - Not much of a swimmer, but she enjoys playing in water. - Responds well to verbal cues and attempts to redirect her attention. - Her leash skills and basic obedience are good. She seems to enjoy one-on-one training sessions. Owner Suitability -Enjoys being a part of day-to-day activities and would benefit from a home in which people are around most of the day. -Would benefit from daily walks and opportunities to play throughout the day. - Loves to be off leash with people. - She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard as she is a curious girl and enjoys opportunities to explore. - Best suited to a home with no other dogs. - Can happily live in a home with cats. She does show occasional interest in playing, but is very respectful of the cat not wanting to engage.

Story
Health Issues - Indy can exhibit anxiety for which he currently takes a low dose/low cost anxiety medication. Temperament - Indy will be extremely loving and loyal to his family and close friends. - Indy is friendly with most dogs and in a controlled one on one environment, has made many buddies. However, on occasion, he will take a dislike to certain dogs. If he’s on leash, best to remove him from the situation, to avoid pulling and lunging. A harness would be better for walks. - Indy gets nervous in new environments and around new people. With patience and treats, he can come around and earn trust. - Indy is an excitable boy with lots of energy. He is very smart, learns easily. - He loves playing in the snow, fetch and running at full speed! - Indy is crate trained and can easily learn that a particular area of the house is his and another is off limits. He is fine being left uncrated as well, and will not push down gates. - Indy has had obedience training and had other training. He knows -Wait (Encouraged to sit and “wait” before leaving or entering house), leave it (also used when walking by squirrels, rabbits, other animals, humans), sit, shake a paw, down, go to your bed. - Indy is muzzled trained, which is required at the vet and in some new situations. - He takes a low dose/low cost anxiety medication Owner Suitability - Indy will do best in a home with less people coming and going. - Indy requires a home with dog savvy people, who understand his insecurities and will have patience in new situations. - Indy will succeed with proper and consistent training, building confidence through this. - He has lived with kids, and did very well with them, but new ones coming in and out of the house could make him uncomfortable, therefore a home without kids under 16 is a must. - A home with no other animals will be best suited for Indy. - Indy would be happy with an active owner, he loves to run, and in the right weather, up to 5km would be fine while he’s young and fit. He is familiar with agility and loves fetch with ball or Frisbee. - This boy absolutely loves cuddles and couch time and will be happy to have lazy days with you! - He would benefit from a fenced in yard, especially since he likes to be free and is most comfortable in familiar places. - His new owner must understand that the vet visit will require a muzzle and possible sedation.

Story
BREED – Bull Mastiff SEX – male BIRTHDAY – May 28, 2022 WEIGHT – 120lbs HEALTH – None TEMPERMENT - Ernie needs to be in a home with no other animals (He is territorial within his home). - People friendly, he loves everyone he meets. - Moderate-high prey drive. He is good on leash but his prey drive can kick in when he sees a squirrel/rabbit. He is not reactive to other dogs when out on a walk. - He doesn’t have food/toy aggression. - Ernie requires daily exercise, he has no problem going on an hour walk or 30 minute run, however he is a calm boy when in his home. - Requires a fence yard. He has been known to take himself on walks by himself. - Ernie is very sweet and loveable, he will always want to be near you. He is very loyal and will be your shadow, even in the bathroom! OWNER SUITABILITY - He is dominant and can be stubborn (typical mastiff) so he would therefore need someone with experience with a large breed alpha dog. - He is a large boy who doesn’t always know his own size and can be uncomfortable around small children so a home with children 10+. - He is house trained and is used to being home during the day when I am at work. - Must be okay with drool, as mastiff are known for the this. - There is a rescue fee. Story
Hi, I’m Maple! 🍁🐶 I’m a 1-year-old Spitz–Welsh mix with a fluffy coat, short little legs, and a heart that’s ready to love — all packed into a petite 9kg (about 20 lbs) body. I was rescued from a shelter just in time, and now I’m dreaming of a forever home where I’ll never be scared or alone again. 💛 A Gentle Soul When we first meet, I might be a little shy — I’ve been through a lot, so I take a moment to feel safe. But once I know you're kind, I open up quickly. I really love people and I’m happiest when I’m near you. I’m affectionate, playful, and if you have a treat or two, I’ll be your best friend even faster! I also love playing with other dogs and making furry friends. I’m still young, so I enjoy running around and having fun — but I also know how to walk nicely beside you on a leash. I try to be polite and well-mannered, because I want to make you proud. 🎓 Still Learning I’ve never lived in a home before, so I’ll need your help learning some things — especially potty training. Sometimes, if I’m left alone for too long, I might feel a little anxious or get into some puppy mischief. But with a loving family, patience, and a stable routine, I’ll grow into a confident and well-behaved companion. I’m very treat-motivated, which makes training easier — and more fun for both of us! I just need your time, your guidance, and your love. 🏡 What I’m Looking For A kind, patient family who will help me learn and grow A safe space to call my forever home Daily walks, playtime, and lots of snuggles Someone who believes in second chances — because I sure do 💕 Despite everything I’ve been through, I’ve never stopped believing in people. My heart is full of hope and ready to be part of a family who will love me just as much as I love them. Could that be you? Let’s write our happy ending together. With all my love, Maple 🍁🐾

Story
Samuel is a 1-year 6-month-old male Samoyed-Jindo mix, weighing 17 kg. At just six months old, Samuel was placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter along with his sibling, Yuel. Thankfully, they were both rescued, and he is now staying at our training center, slowly regaining his trust in people and desperately hoping to start a new life with his forever family. Samuel’s personality is very gentle and non-aggressive. However, due to his traumatic past, he tends to be wary of strangers and takes time to warm up to new people. When he first arrived at our training center, he was very shy, but after a few days, he gradually opened up and revealed his naturally sweet and affectionate personality. Because he does not easily approach unfamiliar people and will require ample time and patience to adjust, extra care should be taken during walks to prevent any escape attempts, and household entryways should be securely managed until he fully bonds with his new family. Like a typical Jindo mix, Samuel has an independent streak. However, he also strongly exhibits the Samoyed’s affectionate nature and responsiveness to human connection. Once he builds trust, he expresses deep affection. Samuel gets along well with other dogs and has formed a particularly strong bond with his sibling, Yuel. Since they have spent so much time together, he may experience separation anxiety if they are apart, and this should be considered when adopting. He currently goes outside for bathroom breaks three times a day and enjoys running freely with his canine friends in the exercise yard. However, during the adjustment period in a new home, occasional accidents may occur. Once he settles in, he should quickly adapt to an outdoor potty routine again. It is recommended to start taking him on walks only after he has bonded with his new family. Due to his Jindo mix heritage, he has a strong homing instinct. If he is suddenly taken far away or travels by plane, he may become confused and instinctively try to find his way back home. To prevent this, walks should only begin after he fully recognizes his adopter as family. Even then, a double leash or harness is essential for safety. Samuel still carries emotional scars from his traumatic past and may be shy and cautious at first. However, for those that are willing to endure that initial period and patiently wait for his trust, Samuel will become the most loyal and loving lifelong companion.

Story
Hello! My name is Liv, and I’m a gentle soul who was once just days away from euthanasia at a shelter. But I was given a second chance — and now, I’m learning what love truly means. 💛 At first, I can be shy around new people or big, unfamiliar places. I get a little scared, but once I realize I’m safe, I quietly come close and show my affection in the sweetest ways. Beneath my timid heart is a dog full of warmth, kindness, and love. I get along beautifully with other dogs. I often look to my dog friends for comfort, follow their lead, and enjoy playing and cuddling with them once we’re close. Because of that, I’d do well in a home with another friendly dog — but I could also be perfectly happy as an only pet, soaking up all your love just for myself. I’m gentle with children, too. Sometimes, I can be a little wary of unfamiliar men, but I’m never aggressive — just cautious. I’m the kind of dog who startles easily but never hurts anyone. In calm environments, I relax and show my quiet, loving personality. I enjoy walks, though sometimes I get a little excited and might pull on the leash or get curious about interesting smells (especially if there’s a cat nearby 🐾). Big signs or large objects can make me a bit nervous, but I’m fine with cars and motorcycles. After a nice walk, I love waiting patiently for my treat — my eyes will sparkle with anticipation! 🍪 I prefer doing my business outdoors, especially on soft grass. When I’m with another dog, I feel safe even when my human steps out — but if I’m left completely alone, I might bark for a bit. Still, I’m calm and quiet most of the time at home. I know basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “paw,” and I’m very patient when asked to follow directions. Taking medicine isn’t my favorite thing, but if you hide it in boiled chicken, I’ll happily take it! At the vet, I get a little shaky, but I stay still and do my best — I really try to be brave. 🩷 I love curling up on the bed next to my person at night — that’s when I feel the safest and happiest. I also travel well in the car, especially if I have my own car seat to rest in. I’m looking for a calm, loving home — a family who will give me time to adjust and show me patience while I continue learning that the world is a safe place. Once I trust you, I’ll give you everything: my loyalty, my quiet love, and my heart that’s stronger than it looks. I was once abandoned, but this time, I’m hoping to find a home where I’ll never be left behind — a forever family who will teach me what it means to be loved for a lifetime. 💛
