Story
Clover is a 4-year old, 58 lb Australian Cattle Dog. This sweet and sassy girl is looking for a loving and attentive home. She is currently living with her owner and another heeler. Clover is devoted to her tribe but it takes her time to warm up to new people and dogs. Clover is high energy and athletic. She loves playing fetch, playing with other dogs and swimming. Due to her reactivity towards moving things (vehicles, bikes, scooters, people) her exercise locations need to be selected with care. Her favorite places to exercise are areas were there is not usually motor vehicles or a lot of people and dogs. Clover's ideal home would have few new visitors and little access to busy or street-facing windows. The ability to manage Clover's intros with new people both when home (i.e. crates, baby gates) and when on-leash is necessary. Clover currently lives in a home with a male heeler and a cat. While she is an annoyance to the cat, Clover and her heeler bother love to play and rough-house together. She is generally fearful of new dogs but warms but with slow intros. Clover has spent a little time around horses and cattle; she's been calm and observant around them. With her people, Clover is sweet, devoted and snuggly. She will seek out her person when she needs a hug or snuggle time. Clover and her owner have been working with Dancin' Woofs Training in Bend on her reactivity and impulse control. Between the training and anxiety medication (fluoxetine), Clover's ability to stay calm and attentive to her handler has improved in recent months. Clover is muzzle-trained and crate-trained. Clover is spayed, microchipped and has received age-appropriate core vaccines. Clover's adoption fee is $290. Story
**Jerry is currently being fostered in Astoria, Oregon** Ready for a whirlwind of fun and love in your life? Meet Jerry, an energetic 10-month-old Cattle Dog on the hunt for his forever home! Originally hailing from Weatherford, Texas with his brother Tom, Jerry is now seeking his perfect match. Jerry's dream family is one that can keep up with his lively spirit, offering consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and heaps of playtime. An active household would suit him perfectly, preferably one with a yard where he can frolic and release his puppy energy. He craves mental stimulation, so a family keen on engaging activities and positive training methods would be ideal. Social and dog-friendly, Jerry adores canine companionship and would relish having furry siblings to romp with. While he hasn't met children yet, we believe older kids who can respect his space would be a good match. As for cats, with the right introduction, Jerry's adaptable nature suggests he could get along famously with a confident, cat-savvy feline friend. Though Jerry may need a little time to warm up to new faces and environments, patience and gentle introductions will win him over. Once he trusts you, he'll stick to you like Velcro, offering unwavering loyalty and affection. Jerry's training progress is impressive—he's a treat enthusiast and thoroughly enjoys games like fetch, puzzle toys, and Kongs. Crate training is also going well; while he may initially fuss a bit, he quickly settles down and becomes a calm co-pilot in the car. Don't let the chance slip by to bring Jerry into your home, where you'll forge countless cherished memories together! Jerry is neutered and has received age-appropriate core vaccines. He is being fostered in Astoria, OR. If you're interested in meeting Jerry please fill out an adoption application on our website: pnwcdr.org/adopt Please note: We do not do DNA testing on our foster dogs. The breed description is our best guess based on the dog's appearance, mother's appearance, paperwork, etc. Adoption Process: - Adoption Application - Phone Convo - Meet & Greet - Home Visit - Application Approval - Adoption Fee & Contract ($390) Our adoption application is at pnwcdr.org/adopt

Story
After recent allergy testing in our son, we need to rehome our dog. This is heartbreaking - she is a great dog and a good friend. But obvious priorities make this a simple decision. Odessa is a 5-year-old husky/German shepherd mix. She is very affectionate. Hasn't had a house accident since she was a puppy. Doesn't chew on furniture, is good on a leash, good with kids. She is good with our cat, too. She has a lot of energy and needs a fenced yard to play in or regular walks. I am a disabled veteran, and with her most of the time - I'm not sure how she'll do left alone and may exhibit some separation anxiety. Odessa comes from a home where she is deeply loved and needs to go to one where she will be still. She's really great—once you meet her, you will fall in love.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out !Introducing Carmello, a 2-year-old male Doxy mix with a striking dark coat weighing 16 pounds.  Carmello is a cuddly little guy who loves to hang with his human on the couch, bed, chair, car, he will pretty much be your partner for any adventure (or nap) you want to take.  His coloring is a mysterious dark chocolate on top and a lighter brown underneath which causes a shadow effect.  He gets along well with other dogs with proper introduction, but he would be happy to be a solo pup.  It is unknown about cats, but due to his size it would probably just take a skippitypap or 2 for him to realize who is in charge!  But he is no pushover, Carmello believes he is a protector so strangers have to be fully sniffed before pets can commence.  He is a champ on a leash, fully house trained and currently resides in an apartment with no issues. His adoption fee is $450 and covers his vaccinations, microchip and neuter.   If you are interested in me you can fill out an adoption application  HERE  and we will reach out to you.  If you are interested in fostering me, please fill out an application  HERE !
