Story
Meet the pug mix puppies! These sweet pups are the babies of mama Darlene, a pug who was found pregnant as a stray. While we don’t know who dad is or exactly what mix these puppies may be, we do know one very important thing: they hit the jackpot with their mom. Darlene has an incredible temperament. She is as sweet, gentle, and good-natured as can be. She has been lovingly raising her babies for the past 5 weeks in a foster home, where they’ve been exposed to other animals and children, helping them get a great start on socialization. Based on mom’s size and what we’re seeing so far, we believe the puppies will be small to medium size full grown. They are playful, curious, and thriving under Darlene’s care. These puppies will make wonderful additions to families or individuals who are ready to take on the lifelong responsibility of raising, training, and loving a dog. We are seeking adopters who are committed to providing a safe, stable, and loving home. The puppies will be ready to go into homes the weekend of February 13th once they are fully weaned and old enough to leave mom. If you’re ready to welcome one of these special pups into your family, they’re ready to meet you! These puppies would do great in a home with...Cats : Yep! Dogs : Yep!  Kiddos : Yep! Their adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, flea prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. To be considered for one of Mama Darlene's pups, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website.   ##2639300##

Story
Meet Darlene! Darlene is a sweet, lovable pug who came to us as a pregnant stray and has since proven what an incredible mama she is. She has been busy raising her 10 puppies, giving them the best possible start in life, and will soon be ready to focus on what she deserves most, a forever family of her own. For her first 5 weeks in our care, Darlene lived in a loving foster home alongside dogs, cats and children, and she handled it all like a champ. She has a wonderful temperament and a silly, affectionate nature that makes her a joy to be around. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Darlene will be gaining a truly special companion. She will soon be ready to leave her mama duties behind and step into a life filled with love, comfort, and family. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Darlene's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website!   Darlene would do great in a home with...Cats : Yep! Dogs : Yep!  Kiddos : Yep!   ##2639608##

Story
Kaiyah is an approximately 2-year-old female Husky/German Shepherd mix (our best guess), weighing 53 lbs, and she’s looking for a home that understands her drive, intelligence, and big heart. Kaiyah is a loving, sweet, energetic girl who thrives on activity. She loves to run, play with toys (often while running!), and stay engaged with everything happening around her. She is very people-oriented and bonds strongly with her humans. Home needs (important): Kaiyah would be happiest as the only dog in the home. She can be dominant with other dogs, and her play can become rough. She likes cats at first and wants to play, but after a while may try to bite, so a cat-free home is strongly recommended. She is possessive of her space, toys, and food with other dogs only. Kaiyah is very athletic and a fence jumper, with a fairly high prey drive. She requires a secure, tall fence for her safety. The good stuff: ✔️ Spayed ✔️ Current on all vaccines ✔️ Wormed ✔️ Fully housebroken with excellent house manners ✔️ Sleeps in a kennel at night—no fussing, no chewing ✔️ Loves her food and enjoys chewing on bones Kaiyah is very smart and eager to learn. Her foster has been working with her and is thrilled with her progress. She is learning to: Heel on leash Go potty on leash Sit and wait when asked She continues to pick up new commands and genuinely enjoys learning. Kaiyah will do best with a confident, experienced adopter who can provide structure, exercise, and clear boundaries—along with plenty of love. In the right home, she will be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. Interested in Kaiyah? Reach out to learn more about adoption and see if she’s the right fit for your home. Story
We adopted Anna from the shelter in fall of 2024. She has overall been a pretty great dog all things considered. We are choosing to re-home her for a couple of reasons: 1st my roommate and I are planning to move out and neither of us will be able to take care of her by ourselves. 2nd she has a lot of energy, and needs to go out often. Our home doesn't have a yard so that means we have to walk her often and we just can't keep up. I wouldn't recommend someone without a yard take her. 3rd is she just needs some more time for training. Overall she has been very good but she gets a little anxious when left alone, and likes to jump to indicate she wants to play. We really just want her to have a good home. For house training she was good for a while but has had a couple accidents. We think due to not enough outside chances but she was good for months just a couple recent accidents to be known about.

What my friends at OHS say about me:I am used to living an active lifestyle! I would love to get up and go adventure with you.Mental enrichment activities are a great way to entertain me and work my brain. Choo Choo! Pavlova express comin' through!
